It's quite weird how for your jerseys the the 3D modells and ingame jerseys always look so much better than the version posted above it (whatever you call it). Has to be the bright colors... Classic lime jersey for you. I like it

@knockout: I mean I love the above version too, but I have to agree that the 3d version is on another level
@AbhishekLFC: that's how we'll punish our opponents thanks a lot |

@Sutty: thank you very much! and tbh, the_hoyle has never disappointed, I guess I'm the more difficult partner in that special relationship
@ivaneurope: great spot - I indeed loved the design idea of the_hoyle, and guessing from your avatar you might enjoy it too, especially when the world champions version for Kump comes out

Free Agent signings for Isostar confirmed
Isostar - LimeBike finally is able to announce five new signings. And you will recognize a pattern. First of all, and that is a shame, we couldn't find riders from our focus regions that fit our needs for this season. While we made sure that we have an Estonian rider this season as well in Peeter Tarvis, we could not sign more Slovenian riders as sadly no sufficiently developed ones were available that could be of use in the targeted domestique roles.
But we are very happy to announce our quintet of domestiques. You'll see that we felt the need of addressing our flat/hybrid support. That is of 2 reasons:
First we felt like Marko Kump lacked sufficient support in his sprint races in the final, and we hope to tackle this issue with these new additions that should work well deep into the flat, bumpy and hilly races that we wanna see Kump score in. Especially Peeter Tarvis and Jetse Bol are dedicated to this category
Second, with David Per on the rise and a possible new cobbled star on the team next year, we took in two versatile rouleurs to support the cobbled and echelon group that Per will lead next year the latest. Julien Vermote and Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, both Novatek alumni, will work their way in the Per & cobbles supporting cast and also be of use in TTTs and the Kump squad.
Also, in Abolfazl Gilanipoor we signed a veteran climber. He will support Spilak in the pure climbing races, but more importantly be part of the free role attacking cast in the mountains alongside Daniel Jaramillo, that aims at hunting KOMs and stage wins. He'll fit the complementary role in the many non-Spilak Mountain races that we feel like lacked some depth in.

Glad to see Gilanipoor at a good home. Sucks he left us but hope he can do great things for you!

By getting ready for a potential income of a big-time wage leader (and failing big time), the team early in the transfer season agreed to 3 loan-ins. We got ourselves one roleur, one puncheur and one climber, all top of the class.
Kilian Frankiny will be a support rider mostly, as he could do very well in the squad for Simon Spilak. Surely he'll be part of our leaders final pursuit of the big goal of the season, the Giro d'Italia title, which will be much needed against the tough competition that lined up for this race already. On top, he'll have many chances in other mountain races without Spilak to go on the attack and chase for u25 points especially.
Ruben Guerreiro is heading into a different direction. While being seen as an obvious rider in the Mohoric-squad, he may be used slightly more in support of Marko Kump, filling the role of departing talents Rumac and Korosec in being a leadout sprinter in the hilly sprints. The big highlight in that regard will be the home race at the Volta a Portugal in support of Kump. Guerreiro will also have his chances at a stage hunter in several races including 1-2 GTs, mostly looking at the Vuelta a Espana as a chance for him.
Gasper Katrasnik has got to be one of the most clinical powerhouses in the world of cycling. Being at 79 flat unmaxed already, Katrasnik is the future of echolons. He'll use his chances in flat races such as the Tour of Qatar or the Ronde van Nederland to try and search for echolon success and breaking up the races, while also pursuing a role in our TTT squad. You'll most likely find Katrasnik at the Tour de France this year in an attacking role, but more than that he'll support David Per in his campaign in the tougher classics as well.
At the same time we say goodbye to Domen Novak for a year. The young climber will chase u25 competitions and white jerseys in his developmental year at Andorra, where he'll also try to support the team leaders in achieving their goals complementary to team leader Danny Summerhill. We are very happy that he'll have the opportunity to work on his climbing skills with that fantastic newly promoted PCT outfit.
@jandal: Thanks a lot! Hopefully he can do well as an attacker on the big climbs this year |

Oh yeah, Gilanipoor knows how to attack on big climbs - I'll never stop talking about how he rode 80km solo attacking the peloton which had Pluchkin in it on the hardest mountain stage on the calendar to win

In our first season in PT we managed to finish quite unlucky in the end, just slipping down the order in the Top10. In order to make sure we can attack the Top5 this season, we brought in another leader for the stage races. Welcome this years Vuelta-Captain and new signing Martijn Keizer.
On 81 Climbing 81 Time Trialling he is the first pure stage racer on the team since Janez Brajkovic in our second season. He thus will focus almost solely on stage races with a TT-heavy impact. Let's see whether Keizer can be the missing piece to become a top class PT team. Hopefully this rather unusual signing, an international leader, works well in the Lime Shirts.
Welcome to Isostar - LimeBike! |

A lot of effort has gone into this transfer move. Let's see if Keizer can help bring that PT title

Veterans to fill the gaps
Late in the transfer period two more guys joined us to complete the squad: John-Lee Augustyn was a bonus in that big shake-up late in transfer season, and will be a big time support for Spilak on many occasions in what will most likely be his last year on the highest level in cycling. The incoming rider from Indosat will be important in Spilaks push for the Giro title certainly.
Geert van der Sanden was, luckily for us, released by Iberia - Team Degenkolb. We picked him up on minimum wage, even though he doesn't really fit into the philosophy. However, we got him to sprint on the many occasions where Marko Kump won't attend and Dusan Kalaba id not favoured, so that a pure sprinter is needed. That includes, most likely, two grand tours and several more Pro Tour occasions this year. He'll try to sneak in the small points where we don't have one of our leaders with greater ambitions participating.
@Abhishek: You'll certainly be the first guy to talk to if he somewhen becomes available again.
@redordead: It was the most in-depth and nail-biting talks we've ever had, and it's certainly a big risk taken. But you never know if you never try, and we think that Keizer could work very well with our team. |

As stated, Isostar thought very well about their plans, especially with Simon Spilak staying as a GT leader. We thought hard about re-focussing on the Tour after the "very unlucky" defeat on that outrageous mountain stage close to the finish against the Estonian machine. But with the GT profiles, it was very much obvious that in one GT Spilak would be the clear cut favorite due to the impact of hill stages: The Giro! That set all ideas of even a non-GT approach aside, and will ensure that, alongside a great supporting cast, our big goal this season will be to win the Giro with Simon Spilak. And even if our very best sources have the rumours that at least two other of the "Big 7" will join Spilak at the Giro alongside many more stage racers, we feel like even in the potentially most crowded Grand Tour Spilak will have a great chance of winning due to his superior hill stat.
Besides that, the teams approach made sure that the team can focus on monuments. After the humiliating season finale in Lombardia last year, Mohoric and Spilak will have something to make up for in the 2019 edition, where a Top10 should be more than achievable. The same line-up will also fight in the biggest of hilly one-day races, Liege-Bastogne-Liege, hopefully for the win. At Milan - San Remo, the PCM18 AI should be very much in favour of the hilly sprinters, thus Kump will come in there with a support of more puncheurs than sprint leadouts including Matej Mohoric to try and win La Primavera.
Our team standings goal was dedicated to the potential turnaround in the team, but as it stands we feel like the Top10 is the minimum we should be able to achieve. However, if we can get everything we will certainly try to reach for more...
Giro d'Italia | Win | Spilak | Il Lombardia | Top 10 | Spilak/Mohoric | Milan - San Remo | Top 10 | Kump/Mohoric | Liege-Bastogne-Liege | Top 10 | Spilak/Mohoric | Team Standings | Top 10 | --- |
@quasdas: You all had your chances, but I feel like Gilanipoor fits very well to Keizer as his main domestique as well as a lot of free role for attacking in the races where we have neither Keizer nor Spilak and he can share the role with Jaramillo and Frankiny. |

Except for the Giro you sure did pick easy goals... Well, Milano San Remo is always difficult to pick and could go either way although you shoulnd't have any problems with it. The rest is almost too easy
Especially team standings, as you'll be top 2

From our own experience we know that "easy goals" can backfire quickly...remember our disaster at Lombardia, where we could've overtaken you with a great race but instead fell far far back and missed our Top10 goal...
The Giro was the most obvious win-goal, besides maybe Hallstatt-Classic. But it should be the right choice imo. |
