A reminder that once again, CT teams will get to select two additional riders at no wage cost, after the transfer season closes. This was all in the Transfer Rules thread, but it's now repeated here.
The squad requirements, of a minimum 15 riders, and a maximum 20 riders, do not include these two riders.
These riders will be assigned in a draft format. Teams have until the end of transfers to submit their prioritised list of preferred 'free riders'. This list can be as long as you like. The draft itself works in a serpentine way from A-Z, Z-A.
The draft order is listed below. It has been created as followed
- Random order of new CT teams
- Random order of existing CT teams
- Random order of teams who were relegated from PCT
Tryg Insurance Cycling Team
Glanbia Foods Cycling Project
Centovalli – Fiat
OMV Petrom – Albania.al
Bianchi – Campagnolo
McCormick Pro Cycling
Eddie Stobart
Equinor Pro Cycling
DK Zalgiris
GCN ProTeam
BNZ Cycling Team
Adastra - Hell Energy Cycling
CYBEX Platinum
Azteca - NBCSN
Netia - Vonin
NENT Racing p/b Hootsuite
Euskaltel - Elior
When it get to your team in the draft, the highest available rider on your list will go to your team.
We recommend creating one large list, but if you would like to separate lists for each pick this will fine.
The deadline is when transfers closes at 12 PM BST tomorrow.
Here is a draft list template file that you can fill in: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bjk1ifodwak...t.xls?dl=0
It is up to you how many riders you include in the list. It can be 10, 38, 50, or whatever. However, if it comes to your turn and there are no riders available anymore, you will lose your place in the draft list - and have to pick an additional rider once the draft has ended.
Please fill it in, upload it to the Dropbox folder, and PM ManGame-Admin to say that it is there.

Will there a new DB for this with only Free Agents?
Does our planner have to go in before these picks? |

There is a list of most signed FAs in a sticky in the advert forum, that saves some time searching as you can update the DB yourself from that. |

Both are due by the same time, when transfers close.

So, our picks can't enter any races, because we have to submit our race planners without knowing who they are?
This can't be right. What am I missing? |

No, that definitely can't be true. The same holds with FAs going to silent auction - you couldn't plan them either. |

Ah ignore that, my mind read transfer sheet not planner - as theres obviously no reason for the race planner to be sent in before the draft.

How could this be? I mean, even Bennett as your best rider has 58 RDs (OK, I don't know about possible training). You have 150 RDs, and you need to send at least 6 riders, i.e. 900 RDs. You've got 20 riders, which would make 45 RDs per rider. That shouldn't be a problem imho.
Or do you mean you can't use up 100% of your riders' RDs? That's almost certainly the case. With 8 riders per race, I could use 1'200 RDs, which is less than the currently 1300 I've got (plus the RDs of the two CT Draft riders). Or have I made some serious maths mistake? Wouldn't be the first one during transfers |

Well why I would not max out my best riders?
Think the lowest has only 28 RDs |

Very normal not to utilise all your potential rider RD's. Calendar planning is an art unto itself how to get the best use out of your resources. Very instructive to consider who ends up without that many race days when reviewing your transfer season in hindsight .
Also making sure all talents get there race days required to level up without feeling like you are leaving better riders on the bench will likely have you pulling your hair out .

That's why I just got 17 of them
So even with a race clash, I can send two full teams, but the good riders won't sit on the bench too often.
And yeah, @MacC, the lowest has only 26 RDs in CT, but I was talking about your lowest |

I have just enough to cover a three race overlap clash.
I think I'll sit out the draft is that's acceptable |

I'm not in charge at all so can't answer this, but why not just draft 2 local U23 riders, not use them, then nominate them for Avenir to get them the 20xp.
May aswell get them the XP incase you decide to develop them further in future seasons.

Do we have to add the two CT draft riders to our transfer sheet with wage 0?
If so, could they possibly be trained, or is this restricted to "regular" transfers? |

Not really sure why you'd want to train a rider who you wouldn't even value at 50,000

Maybe I would, but there wasn't enough cap space left?
Not for Guillen, certainly, as he's not eligible anyway. But you never know what the draft brings...
But the actual question is more about the transfer sheet that I'd like to get right. |
