Well. I didn't add any numbers.
So I didn't say succeeding high and low goals is the same outcome.
Just the obvious. Succeeding will help you in the next season.
Misread a bit then. Sorry for that. |

Tour of Southland clarification query: Should this run from 24-28th February (would align with listed race clashes in the race profiles thread)? In the calendar file on Dropbox though, starts on 26th and would therefore theoretically span into March, creating completely different race clashes. Which are the correct dates?
Thanks!

It's not supposed to run into March. Race clashes in the profile threads are also correct.

What happens If you have a goal in a race, but you do not get the race due to over subscription ?

Bad luck, deal with it. Very very very unlikely to happen, and if you pick a race as a Goal put that band with a high priority

Ah yes. 7 in total.
You ride all but 1 HC!
And half PTHC. |

I can easily deal with it, as I am unlikely to meet my PTHC goal anyway, was just wondering.

If it's the same procedure as last year (didn't search futher back), there will be a thread for HC/C1/C2 race selections. There will be an Excel file which we'll have to submit, probably again during transfer period, containing the races we'd like to take part in.
See the 2018 C1/C2 race selection thread.
So yes, for now, you just have to decide on your goals - and hope that you'll get to ride your goal races (which is sure for C2HC and 99.9% sure for C2 races). |

Yes, race selection for CT teams will come later. Last year the deadline was a week into the transfer window.
Edit: Zabel'd!

Is there a file somewhere that summarizes the nature of each race - e.g 3 hill, 1 mountain stage?
Being new to the game I don't have any sense of which races are for what kind of riders, particularly since many of the lower tier races don't follow real races.
I can page through the race profiles but that is a pretty slow way to just get a sense. Wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something that would make it easier before I did that.
One other question - are the stats in the currently available db the stats riders will have at the start of the season or is there training/development/age decline to occur before then?
Thanks |

At this point, no file for that. You just gotta look through to see the profiles, but you'll learn pretty quickly which races are which as they pop up year after year mostly.
Yes we'll get another DB before transfers, and it will have some small stat changes. But all development and age of decline has already happened. Training comes after Transfers.

A question about training: What are the conditions for a rider to be trained? I understand he has to be maxed out, and he must not have achieved max level in the preceding season.
However, as a new manager, if I sign a rider, I don't necessarily know when he has been maxed out. Is there a way to know this? |

I know, I don't expect it either. But I haven't planned to stay only 1 year |

Is the Ronde van Vlaanderen really meant to have no hilly icon?
