I dont understand how stat evolution works in carrer mode.
sometimes I can see little improvement of single stat, but one or two times per year I have a big improment (1-2 points on several stats)
do u know how does it works? |

It works the same as in pro cycling mode, only instead of riders gaining exp. by doing well in races they gain exp. from a weekly training effect that is largely determined by the riders potential i.e. high potential riders develop faster.
The attribute increases happen when a rider reaches a lvl threshold. With an editor yotal exp can be seen in the column _f_capital and the training effect in the _f_gain. The first can be modified to control rider development.

The topic should be updated. It seems the progression is not anymore as explained in the topic.
I did a test by using riders with identical stats, potential,trainers,training...and they did lvl ups for differents values of value_f_capital...I wasnet able to interpretate how, when and why riders do the lvl up. In my test experience it seems almost random a lvl up... |

You would have to put all riders on the same value_f_capital and the same value_f_gain to have them level up on the same day.
The value_f_capital is the XP of a rider. At a certain amout of XP, the rider will level up and therefore gain a rather random attribute increase. The value_f_gain shows how much XP the rider gets over the course of a week. I don't know the exact thresholds for level-ups, though. |

hello skylax. I understood the topic contents. In my test the concepts of that topic are not applicables to pcm 2018.
When I started my test carrer I had all riders at 75 for every stat, that mean the average was of course 75 for everyone. the starting value of value_f_capital was the same for all riders. During the test several riders did lvl up at differents values of value_f_capital and other riders didnt do lvl up even if they reached the same f_capital value where others riders do the lvl up...
The topic says that a rider with avg 75 starts with value_f_capital 3725 and it is true in my test too. btw i was expecting a lvl up at 4165, but it dont! differents riders did lvl up at "random" values...most of them before 4165 and other riders didnt do lvl up at all even if they reched a value of value_f_capital more than 4165.
One more: the value_f_gains is not the exact value who is added to value_f_capital, i didnt investigated deeply on this btw (in my test i had trainers so maybe trainers matter) |

I did a quick test myself and you are right. I can't find a pattern as of now. I did not change value_f_current_evaluation though, maybe that has something to do with it. I don't believe it's completely random, but it's hard to find the right variable that influences this. I don't think trainers have much to do with training at all. In previous tests with trainer levels, there was no significant effect. However, I would not rule it out completely. There are some possible things (additionally to the already mentioned) that could have an effect:
value_i_trainingsstyle. There are too many options for it to reflect the 3 standard types of training (oldschool, modern, innovative or however they were called). Maybe this factor adds some randomness to rank-up.
gene_i_ptmap. I honestly don't know what this value is good for. But from the look of it, it is some kind of coefficient. It also does not give too many options (16) for it to be something super unique. Maybe this variable plays a role here. |

it seems stats evolution need further investigations...
btw I did a test on trainers. I am sure that trainers reputation matter. I compared no trainer vs regional vs national vs international and mytique. After a couple of month with a mityque trainer my test team increased stats of 14 points (it is an average) with no trainer 5 points, the others trainer in the middle btw something like this 5-9-11-12-14.
In my last test even it was focused to understand lvl up I was able to see mytique trainers effects vs regional trainers (in my last test I did a secondary sub test on trainers too in order to understand how they affects value_f_gain) |

The level thresholds for stat upgrades are likely not the same for PCM 18 as for PCM 16. I would assume, though, that they are identical to the ones in pro cyclist mode.
So you could probably figure them out (from lvl 9 onwards) by playing through pro cyclist mode.
I am fairly certain lvl 1 is 100 though. If you change a riders f_capital to 95 he will have an attribute upgrade after one week. |
