I'am in my first season with a Continental Pro- self created team. During the season I ran into some financial issues because I didnt really calculate my young driver team.
I did reach all sponsor targets and did receive a much higher budget for the next season.
Iam now in August and want to plan my team for the next season by renewing some contracts and making offers to riders from other teams. This is not possible because everytime when I click on the contract button the message "Not enough money" appears.
BUT in contrast to this, it is possible to hire free agents.
Is this really intended by the game that it is not possible going into contract negotiations when the budget is negative?
When looking at the finances I still have available wages for next season but I cant use them !!! I attached a screenshot and you can see that there are 162.200€ still not used.
Is there a way to bypass it? With this behaviour its impossible to setup a reasonable squad for the next season.
Looking forward to hear some voices/solutions to that ...

So it seems that there is no (legal) way of bypassing this problem. I know that there is a workaround by setting my budget positive in the editor, but I wanted avoid that. I can then negotiate with riders and after that setting the budget negative again.
For me it is unbelievable how such a buggy game can survive on the market. If there would be an alternative in this genre this game would die within a few days. I hope one day there is one...
Sorry to say but if this is the only bug you get, wont say it is very buggy, much worse have survived the market. As you say you got an editor and can fix it but for some reason don't want too ? Many game bugs are not that easy to fix.
Also you did get into negative figures, in any compagny that is a shitty thing.

It shall ensure that its income is regular enough to avoid any problems with cash flow.
About doctor it is a bug. You should fire your doctor before. Btw i think this version of pcm is the best never released. There are some bugs around but it is playiable.
About your carrer i know it is not easy but to have better realism you should start a new carrer with a better financial plan.
When i create a new custom team i put a limit by my self. I hire only 10 riders with a max salary of 2500. In this way you can really start your carrer from the bottom, minimal team with minimal salary

My income for the next season shows that it is enough and that is the reason why it should be categorized as logical bug in my opinion.
Finally I did the workaround with the editor, however for me its unclear why its possible to hire free agents but not negotiate contracts. The game mechanic is the same behind this.
However this was not the only bug I came across but I can life with the other ones. You only have to know how to handle and avoid them in some cases (One more example: dont plug out the power adapter when you play with an laptop, the game will be freezing).
In the end the game fun predominates in my case...

Sorry to bump in such a old thread but I'm still playing 2018 and I don't understand the workaround of the doctor bug (cannot fire the doctor, already on a race...)
You should fire your doctor before.... before what?
