Urgh... Those stats should really dominate these leagues though surely? Let’s show Limerick we’re too good for the non-leagues

Aqua Blue Sport pulled its funding from cycling but INM, a media organization out of Dublin, has stepped in as the primary sponsor for this upcoming PCT season.
We have the talent on this team to make a push for promotion.

My Thoughts
Once again, I'm the youngest guy on the team. But, there are a lot of veterans here to lead the way. The team is counting on me to command the cobbles unit. I think I can handle that, at least I hope. If not, Hofstetter can step in.
The team has a nice set of nationalities and seemingly everyone gets along. That dynamic, however, slightly shifted when our new team manager Arthur van Dongen brought in our final signing a week ago: Alex Vogel.
It caught me completely off guard. Instead of giving a warm welcome to my new teammate, I made a fool of myself and asked if she was the team's nurse.
Alex laughed it off, but still embarrassing. It will be interesting having her around.

What did I do to end up back here? Well, apparently, Limerick FC head coach Owen Heary didn't see enough skill to keep me in the Irish first division. I strongly disagree, but I can't argue with him. Shut up and do what I'm told.
Making a name for yourself isn't supposed to be easy. I'm willing to put in the work. Let's show Heary he made the wrong decision and force him to recall my six-month loan early. I'm too good of a player to be wasting my time here in the Isthmian League First Division North.
Heck, maybe we can help sixth place Hornchurch get promoted in the process.
I joined the team at the end of the month, so only my debut game in this update.
Match Day #27 at Bedford (6-14-6)

AFC Hornchurch 2, Bedford 1
Summary: Trailing 1-0, Marcus Diamond doesn't waste his opportunity to shine on his debut day. A perfect run and superb finish off the noggin.
Five minutes later, Tobi Joseph got free for a breakaway goal.
Rating: 8.1 - Hard to ask for a better debut. Career goal No. 7.

Felixstowe, Needham Market, Bury Town, AFC Sudbury, seems like he's got a few trips near me coming up in this league.
He's got off to an amazing debut, it could be hard to keep that up but he should have the quality, hopefully with the seasons being offset he can come back halfway through the Irish one to make an impact.
After two seasons of grinding away in the Continental Tour, it's time to take the next step up to the PCT circuit with my new team, INM.
You always want to make a strong first impression. Easier said than done.
Race Day #1 at GP la Marseillaise
January 28, 2020
Nerves are high, but that's too be expected in the first race of the year.
Spoiler
Summary: Sunny, fairly warm January day. Everyone is friendly in trying to get to know the new-look peloton and take in the bright jersey colors.
The peaceful demeanor changed rapidly with 29kms to go, a nasty crash on a downhill bend takes out a large group of the peloton. Only 36 cyclists remain at the front. Some of the leaders want to slow the pace down out of fair play — mostly disguised as a life line to get their team's sprinter back in the mix.
Others aren't having it. A critical crossroad in this race.
Aussie Rory Sutherland leads a pack of 37 cyclists onto the final climb with 16.6kms to go. The closest group back is at +1'07".
The leaders are pulling away. Marcus Diamond and a handful of others can't keep up. Now only 30 cyclists remain up front... and an attack at the front, nine go clear!
These nine battle it out at the finish line with Frenchman Anthony Roux winning on home soil.
Result: 24th - I regrouped a little on the downhill to the finish and sprinted past a few guys for a solid opening to the season. Certainly could have been a lot worse. Glad I didn't get caught up in that crash.

Group Chat: After a long month of team bonding, things have started to settle in. Then, always looking to stir things up, Alex Vogel offered an open invitation to anyone in the team's group chat to go for an extra training ride. It's been over an hour and nobody has responded to the request, what should Marcus do?
(A) Respond: "Yeah, I'm in. Name the place, I'm there."
(B) Respond: "Maybe later. What's your number, I'll give you call."
(C) Send Private Message: "I'm not feeling well for a training ride, but we could do something else tonight if you'd like."
(D) Ignore. A rest and recovery day is more important.
+3 Cobble, I think you said he has leadership opportunities there at his new team so he probably should look to improve even more and make sure he gives a good impression in the early cobbled races to get teammates on his side for the bigger ones later on.
Option A, Sounds like a good chance to bond with another new teammate and an extra training ride is always beneficial.

Keep my head down, do my job and get rewarded with a call up. Anyone who tries to get in my way is going to get pushed to the side. I don't belong here.

Match Day #28 vs. Barton Rovers (9-9-9)
February 1, 2020
Familiar faces in the crowd, Hornchurch is pretty close to Canvey Islands.
Spoiler
AFC Hornchurch 1, Barton Rovers 1
Summary: What a crazy game. Barton Rovers gets a lucky first goal and then gets a guy sent off right before halftime. AFC Hornchurch rookie Charley Kendall comes off the bench in the 62th minute and six minutes sneaks behind Barton Rovers back line to score the equalizer.
Rovers lose another man to a red card in the 82nd minute. Hornchuch pushes hard for the winning goal but gets denied by the post multiple times.
Rating: 7.1 - Playing in front of friends and family is fun, but we deserved a win in the one. I need to be better.
Player of Game: Leigh Hall, Barton Rovers (8.4)
Match Day #29 at Wingate & Finchley (16-8-4)
February 8, 2020
One of the top teams in the league, let's see how we stack up.
Spoiler
AFC Hornchurch 2, Wingate & Finchley 1
Summary: After his performance last week, Charley Kendall gets the start at striker and doesn't disappoint. On the road in a downpour, Kendall scores twice to lift AFC Hornchurch to a win.
The game-winning goal came in the 84th minute, two minutes after W&F found the tying goal. Marcus Diamond with a perfect ball over the top and right-footed Kendall shows off unnerved composure with a left-footed finish in front of net.
Three goals in two games, we see you Kendall.
Rating: 7.7 - Career assist No. 15. Got the job done. On to the next one.
Player of Game: Charley Kendall, AFC Hornchurch (8.8)
Match Day #30 vs. AFC Sudbury (8-11-10)
February 15, 2020
Diamond signs an autograph for a fan club member: sammyt93.
Spoiler
AFC Hornchurch 3, AFC Sudbury 1
Summary: Following the first 40 minutes of boring football, things kicked off right before halftime. AFC Sudbury got the first goal, but veteran left back David King unloaded a rocket from outside the box and hit side netting to even the score.
AFC Sudbury's defender wasn't as skilled when he put the ball in his own net off a cross to give Hornchurch the lead, 2-1, a minute into the second half. Tobi Joseph finished off the victory with a header in the 88th minute.
Rating: 7.4 - Made a handful of link-up passes and commanded the midfield. A solid but rather invisible type of game. Need more highlight plays to catch Limerick FC's attention.
Player of Game: David King, AFC Hornchurch (8.3)
Match Day #31 at Romford (5-15-10)
February 23, 2020
Romford hasn't won a game since December 3 — 11 games without a W.
Spoiler
Romford 3, AFC Hornchurch 2
Summary: Romford back in the win column. Thomas Arndale scores twice. AFC Hornchurch falls apart in the second half. An ugly showing.
Rating: 8.1 - Even with my first yellow card of the season — I shoved a guy over, but it was clearly a flop — I was the best player on the team. No help whatsoever. What am I supposed to do? I was pissed.
After the game I took my angry out on my visiting locker room stall, left a sizable dent. Just found out today that I will have to pay to replace it and was informed head coach Jimmy McFarlane is going to bench me for the next game because of my actions...
I rarely get mad, but when I do I get extremely mad. Yes, I let my temper get the best of me, but I don't deserve this... Get me out of here!
Player of Game: David King, AFC Hornchurch (8.3)
Marcus Diamond watched in discontent from the bench as lowly Thamesmead defeated AFC Hornchurch 3-1 in Match Day #32.

Settle Down: Getting benched for blowing a fuse isn't a good look. How should Marcus Diamond handle the aftermath?
(A) Apologize, suck it up and play as told.
(B) Apologize, ask to move up the pitch in more of a CAM role.
(C) Apologize, ask to move down the pitch in more of a CDM role.
(D) Forget and move on. Don't apologize, I didn't do anything wrong.

A, he's only on loan so probably should be humble to ensure he still gets chances to impress the parent club. And his CM position has seen him have a good impact already so no need to switch it up.
