Cocoa's Post-Race Thoughts

"124km to go the breakaway had over a 6 minute lead so I went to the front and pulled. After 30km I was spent as we hit the cobbled section, the lead down to 1'50". Yet no one was interested after, so it went back out. Oh well.

Out on the road it was clear Pete was our best chance for victory so I supported him much as I could till the finish, where feeling strong I tried to stay with the main men. I fell behind but it was good for the legs."

Critérium du Dauphiné - 2015

i.ibb.co/0nkSQ6y/WATSON-00004253-008-630x419.jpg

Chris Froome (Team Sky) produced a fantastic effort over the last 4 stages of the Critérium du Dauphiné to distance himself from his rivals.

Stage 5 - +25"
Stage 6 - +10"
Stage 7 - +16"
Stage 8 - second to Nairo Quintana but lost no time.

As Froome looks in great form, there were two withdrawals due to injuries which are likely to rule out Greg Van Avermat -BMC (broken collarbone) and Romain Bardet - Ag2r (patellar tendon tear) from this year's Tour de France.

Cocoa's Post-Race Thoughts
i.ibb.co/tJZnWXR/Stage3-Jersey.jpg
"It seems I overlooked my standing in the GC and young riders classification. I wasn't allowed to go with the breakaway.

I did okay, I didn't feel all that strong at the end of the climb. I have some decisions to talk over with the team before tomorrow's stage."

Cocoa's Post-Race Thoughts

"Emotional roller-coaster! I was so happy to get points on the HC, but my efforts let Konrad slip away which forced me alone to chase the gap. I managed it and distanced him at the end!

It also felt special to know Landa was in yellow, I was in polka dot and the team was at the front showing our strength."
