@Knockout: It's super awesome I hope to see them going crazy in future races. A breakaway win from one of my flat guys would be supreme

A mountain ITT was on the table for the riders, and Bjørn Tore crawled his way to a top 15 finish with his 13th place. Pinot, once again, crushed the field.

Another hilly stage, another Pinot win. For us, it was Bjørn Tore who defended our colors. He came in with the winners group in a 24th position.

The last stage, and our last chance to make something happen. Before the flag dropped, we had hopes that maybe Modolo could get something done in the final. However, a late attack by Dylan Teuns from the Team Cerveceria Costa Rica squad made the pace far to high for him to conted. Bugge made our day brighter by sprinting + 33' behind the winner Teuns into a 5th place. This race has been good for us, seeing our colors up there in the finish on several stages. We now feel more confident that our team can finally snatch that first win.
Also, great reporting by roturn and chapeu to Thibaut Pinot and the GCN ProTeam.

We had absolutely 0 hopes for results on this stage. The amount of tv time the team recived reflects that. Gabriel Chavanne snatched the stage and Vegard Robinson Bugge was our best man, + 13' behind the Sauber Petronas Racing rider
This did not go as we planned before the race start. We wanted to be active and in the breakaways, however all we came away with was a top 18 place in the GC with Hoem. On to the next one.

You know being a Joker fan I am kinda rooting for you, but then I remember...you might end up being one of my main rivals to reach that sweet Top 15 spot in the rankings...I hope you take many 2nd places right after my main boys so I can be doubly happy

What a disaster of a day for both us and the other teams with sprinters. Johannes Schinnagel from Oberfranken completly ruined the party, as even our guy Mikiel Habtom got dropped. Kangangi came in 28th with the peleton.

Judging from my history, a 2nd place is welcomed

Here it was, our main win goal of the season. Our goals, however, were set before the transfer period. We had, in our opinion, an ok hill sqaud in this years edition of Gisborne GP. Which also proved it self to be true with 10km left to race having Teklit, Bugge and Taborre present in the chasing group.
We came up short from our win goal, but a nice 9th for Teklit and 11th for Bugge. On to the next one.

Shame not to see Afoa in Gisborne - but sure he's excited for his C1 debut in France! Hope he can make one of his many breakaway attempts so far stick
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Summary Close, but still no sigar.... | Sascha Modolo | Leader |
Once again, we came close. Modolo struggled early on in the race, but as it grew closer to the fifth stage. He came more alive. He got inched out for the win on the 4th stage. And on the 5th stage, he came 3rd.
We are happy with being up there, and Modolos ability to pick the right wheel in the closing kilometeres of the races. On to the next one for us now. We are still chasing that first ever win.

We are lost for words at the moment. Our quest for our first ever win as a team has once again been derailed. We sent our sprint squad to Turkey for what seemed on paper as our best chance of the season for a win. With a more hilly flat stage menu. But, like before, we came up to short. Modolo must have set the record for a rider wearing number 1 finishing in the Top 3 without a win.
On to the next dissapointment...
