so, what DB are you talking about? Does it already exist, or it's just an announcement?
Yes, it should be definitive version end of October but maybe a beta early October
Currently, we're discuss in our intern discord about hierarchy for each speciality in PCM and in each country.
Some tests about PCM's IA are also doing.The aim is to have more attacks in Mountain Stages from the leaders
Later,we'll work for new sponsors in Career Mode but most important for the moment is to have real races (even if sometimes stages are not graphically pretty but it's real profiles and not cdx)

175 Continental teams
I do not understand why the other 120 teams should be necessary to have more teams than listed by the UCI in a "real team/name database"?? National or Amateur-teams do not participate in more than 1 or 2 races a year on pro-level and are not pro teams participating all year...
So with "real" real teams/names, your database should be ready in early September...

I'm agree with you if you speak for "Career Mode"
But in "Single Race Mode", if you want to have the real startlist, you need to add some teams. For instance, in Turkish Races, you have more amateurs/national than pro teams

But why don't you work on carreer mode-teams. with all uci-listed teams? I don't know, if anybody else will do that. And a career mode with ALL uci-teams sounds more interesting to me.
I have not seen such a complete db for career mode anywhere for older versions.

Nonetheless, I disagree to be honest. A database like this with so many things could be great. We at the WorldDB restrict ourselves from going under Continental because we don't have the time to put in more and we want to set a limit so we don't overdo stuff.
There is definitely a market for database like the one ImthebestCoach is making with so many teams. I'll definitely use it when it's done. If he can make this non-Steam Workshop with editing the Local.cdb to add some divisions under conti, this could be amazing.

Now I am using "The PCM.Daily 2017 Expansion Pack" and Bugfix as basis for "my" DB, and there were more than 80 teams missing from the official UCI Continental teams list. It took about one week to put in all missing riders (and assign existing FREE riders to the added teams), but I have to put their rider values into the DB.
As I have never done editing for this game before, I hope, that I didn't miss anything to get it running. So this is for PCM17.
In 2018 there are still 18 ProTour teams, 27 Pro Continental and 175 Continental teams. - How many of them are planned for the new "WorldDB" for PCM18? If it's not 220 in total, please tell me which are not to be implemented and I can add them to have a complete DB then with all listed teams by the UCI. (and how I can get them to you, but without jerseys, sorry. I am too dumb to understand how to make a jersey. I just found a tutorial by a norwegian kid, without using a mouse arrow to see what he was doing).
P.S.: uci.ch is the most important source to have a DB with really ALL reported and authorized teams. Not more, not less.

First of all, we're not here to go into a WorldDB discussion, this is the thread for ultracompleteDB, but here's my answer:

We've obviously got waaaay more than 95 continental teams ^^ You're checking the wrong on of the two WorldDB's on the workshop. Our version for PCM 18 already has 166 of them in the coming version and we haven't even added all the ones we had last year yet. 10 to go.
Third of all, this database is pretty fine for careers, even with lower tier teams. ^^ ImTheBestCoach is a great database editor and should be more confident of his database. Our biggest challenge is the graphic part.
For the stats, we're thinking like PCM thinks. We discuss hierarchy on each races and for each country to be sure we are realist and then we adjust stats
To speak with numbers - currently I have :
- In my DYN_Cyclist, I have 4797 Riders
- In my DYN_Team, I have 358 teams
- In my DYN_Palmares_Cyclist, I have 32458 riders (need to see if it's ok with table limit once db generated)
- In my STA_Race, I have 492 Races
- In my startlist folders, I have 122 files
- In my STA_Region, I have 475 Regions
- In my STA_roster_listraces, I have 1500 lines
You could play in Career Mode with this DB without problems but some teams are not available in Career Mode (they appear as Free Teams, they don't make transfers and they haven't rosters - they're only here for real startlists)
How do we select teams for Career Mode ?
For each country, we're watching startlist and we select teams who rides the most.

After nearly having finished my "own" database, I have noticed, that it mighty be necessary to have more "amateur"-teams in the game. As I found out, that there are quite a lot of these teams participating on UCI-mionor races. Yesterday I found some stats of the "Tour de Rwanda" and saw, that more than half of the teams are not listed by the uci...
But I would like to implement them on "career mode". So how should this be possible to do?
For explanation:
A few weeks ago I bought PCM 17 from second hand. -The last version of pcm I did play before was PCM 10. So I was used to have a look on pcmdaily to get new stuff for the game, new races, new teams etc.
To understand right: the "biggest databases" are only to find on steam and not on any pcm-site (pcmdaily, pcmspain, legroupetto)?
And will the UltracompleteDB for PCM2018 be useable for PCM17 aswell (or was the "Ultracomplete DB" built for PCM17 aswell)? Or do I need to buy PCM 18 to get it from steam?
The longer I am thinking about this DB, the cooler it gets. On the other hand, I have just bought PCM 17, is there any way to get the "amateur teams" for the "old" version (e.g. only jerseys & transferts, I can put them into the db myself)? I am too stupid, to make jerseys on my own...
