Well, Ion did improve his GC position in the time trial, unfortunately could not make it into the top 10.
Also, close second from Enrico!
Definitely would've had that one if Enrico had started the sprint in Wellens' wheel, damn!
Too bad Ion'is time was too mediocre by his standards to finish anywhere higher than 13th.
Also, welcome on the forum!
Would have been a great way to make up for a disappointing result in the GC.

Milano - San Remo (1.UWT) Northwest Italy, 296.3 kms
The peloton wouldn't let go of a breakaway bigger than 2 riders: Merhon Teshome and Bert De Backer. These two had a gap of 8'15" at the tunnel atop Passo del Turchino. The first climb didn't pose problems in the pack. Ochoa wanted to pace on Le Manie but no one followed. In vain he put a minute into the pack, where no one had the intention to chase him back. This group lost contact with the bunch after a crash on Le Manie's narrow descent. We're glad to see most of our own men made it through safely. Once the previously mentioned group had caught up with the pack again, Ian Stannard attacked. Sagan and Stuyven made sure he would not ride away on the last Capo climb, Capo Berta. Ten km left before la Cipressa. Teshome felt that De Backer was slowing him down, and accelerated. At the foot of the Cipressa, the vast peloton of 165 riders sat only 25" back. In the Cipressa descent, a new crash took out about half of the pack, i.e. Wout Van Aert and Wouter Wippert, the man who came second last year. Teshome was reeled in, and Dimension Data's pace didn't allow anybody to try a Poggio attack. Barbero's good legs made him sit near the front. Through the final corner, Carlos fought the others for Bouhanni's wheel. Lacking the top speed of a pure sprinter, Barbero chose to launch early. Nacer Bouhanni, tailed by Marcel Kittel, had one man left in front of him. Turns out Nacer Bouhanni's wheel would've been the right one. France's road race champion held off Kittel to win his very first Monument. Carlos Barbero concluded on the Milano - Sanremo podium after a superb ride. Already showed he's able to handle longer races at last year's WC in Bristol, where he took second. Must've had very good legs indeed, looking at the names he beat in a sprint! And so there's only one Monument left we're yet to get a podium at.

Had the legs to win today, just not the top speed to beat each and every fellow sprinter. Just one Monument left we are yet to get a podium at.

Prologue was quite a letdown but no surprise when not many TT'ists are brought and given Guerreiro dislikes prologues. Plenty of chances left to shine still.

Volta a Catalunya (2.UWT) Stage 2/7, 175.7 kms
CCC's Francois Auguste came first at today's KoM sprint atop Els Àngels. Afterwards he was forced to spend the rest of his day in front on his own. As was to be expected one single man did not stand a chance against the sprinters' teams. In the final kms, we battled the Bora and Astana trains. Julian Arredondo, who won the 2014 blue Giro mountain jersey, launched surprisingly early. Olivares was executing a great leadout for MartÃnez. Our two riders got back to Arredondo, after which Magnus Cort launched himself. Now Manu MartÃnez came out of Ibai Olivares' wheel as well. Denmark's champion kept his effort up all the way to the finish, securing his maiden win of the season. MartÃnez fell back and came home in 5th.
