AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP ROAD RACE
Buninyong – Buninyong – 195.5km
The following four riders went away after ten kilometres of the race and have built up a massive lead of 24m 28s, they are Pinczewski/DRT Mining, Newbery/Data#3 Symantec, Williams/Budget Forklifts and King/Search2retain
The peleton are totally uninterested and seem to have given up already
Its hard to believe that we are looking at the future Champion so early into the race
Amazingly the lead has reached thirty minutes
At last we have some action from the front of the peleton with Evans/BMC, Day/UnitedHealthcare, Hansen/Lotto Soudal, Tanner/Tinkoff Saxo and Bobridge/Team Novo Nordisk going clear
Williams launches an attack as we enter the final ten kilometres
But the other trio hunt him back down within five kilometres
With the flame rouge in sight its Newbery who launches his sprint first
And he times it to perfection to become the new Australian Champion
The sprint from the peleton some twenty three minutes later went to Evans of BMC
1 | Dylan Newbery | Data#3 Symantec Team p/b Scody | + 5h25'53 | 2 | Daniel Pinczewski | Downer EDI Mining Cycling Team | s.t. | 3 | Matt King | Search2Retain Cycling | s.t. | 4 | Marc Williams | Team Budget Forklifts | s.t. |
Everyone else was un-classified
Well what can i say, a total waste of time turning up, if anything the guys did get some miles in their legs |

Also, how are you able to show the report, if you did not play the stage? |

NEW ZEALAND ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIP
Bewley/Orica GreenEdge, Scully/Team Raleigh and Simpson/Team Differdange are ahead up the road with a massive lead as like the Australian road Championship
With only thirteen riders taking part, the others are treating it like a club run
Our lead trio are still prepared to put on a show for the crowds at the side of the roads
McCauley and Christie both of Drapac Cycling have decided to make some sort of effort
We enter the final twenty kilometres
Bewley has decided its time to go it alone
Scully and Simpson are trying hard to pull him back
54s is the advantage at the red kite
And with time to spare he celebrates in style
1 | Sam Bewley | Orica - GreenEdge | + 5h04'52 | 2 | Tom Scully | Team Raleigh | + 5h05'45 | 3 | Myron Simpson | Team Differdange - Losch | s.t. |
No other rider was classified |
