That’s a lovely jersey - but I’m not sure if Jandal’s gonna be too happy that Peter decided to defect to your team over his

He most certainly isn't! A full internal investigation is being conducted at Xero HQ to find out why this has happened, and we demand an explanation from the Compal manager!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Compal-Merida ends sponsorship
Sad news for asian cycling fans as both Compal and Merida decided together to step down as sponsors for the cycling team in front of the 2019-season. The news was released from a press conference at the outskirts of Beijing.
At the same time they wish the very best of luck to the team in PCT and will continue to follow the races.
Sports director Bjartne came to knew about this already a week ago but did not want to comment about who's coming in as new main sponsors.
However, the giant newspaper L'equipe seems to know that the former Compal-Merida team is moving to a big sponsorship deal in Europe for the following seasons.
Bjartne says there will be an final announcements before september starts. |

It's a shame to see the confirmation of you leaving your Asian focus behind, although with your squad already having no Asian riders this season a move to European sponsors does make sense and will likely make it a lot easier for you to stay up in the PCT division in the upcoming season.

Wise move, having no asian riders hehe. I would have expected this to happen already before this season started
I'm eager to see where you want to take it though, as I can only ever so slightly spot trends in your team.
Despite having 3 colombians it doesn't strike me as a focus, hence I would not expect the sponsorship to have root in Spain. Then a bit of Danish, Swiss, Slovakian, Norwegian, Luxembourgian, Italian and Belarus...
If I was to find a trend I would go with something like a Slovakian team, but most of those guys are so old, that I can't see you building from it. So I guess I'll have to gamble on you to go a totally different route and not really targeting any of the riders nationality that you already have, and instead go flat out on a complete rebuild. Wild guess though

There is a kind of focus or system on its way, but it will take some seasons to form the team the way I want. Our primary goal now is to promote to the PT for the first time in our history, and we're gonna do that with quality riders, primarely from the european continent, spiced with our colombian climbers |

We are delighted to announce that we're moving to France and that our new sponsor is: Team Europcar!
After being outside of the cycle circus for some time, Team Europcar decided they wanted to get back in the saddle. Their long term goal is to promote and establishing the team in PT.
Bjartne is over the moon with the sponsorship and is also happy that despite moving to Europe, the team will continue in the beautiful green/black colours for the following seasons
More info to come.... |

Ooh, that was unexpected, I'm going to love seeing their jersey back in the peloton, I hope the transfer season goes well for you and your team rides as attacking as the sponsor was previously known for.

This sposnsor change came completely unexpected to me and makes me very curious where you are heading in transfers. Had to look at the squad to see that your team is already far more european than i remembered

A bold move to a new focus region and HQ country for your organisation. A well secured CT promotion provides increased funds to build for 2019. Having checked to see that you currently have 0 French riders on your roster (although lots of assorted other Europeans who maybe supported by their local franchises), looks like you are planning for an extensive re-work during transfers . Bonne Courage!

Europcar is a worldwide organization and we will not buy a rider solely because they're french. If we can find 1 or 2 top-class french riders, we're willing to put quite some money on the table, but you're not likely to find a lot of french domestiques in our team, if we can find cheaper solutions elsewhere |

No, you're correct, they've not been in the game before, I just tried to implement the man-game into reality, so that they're "coming back" into the peloton |
