Thought the French would be smart to change this starting grid idea into a “Arnaud Demare starts ten minutes earlier so he might survive the time limit” kind of start. |

So much words for that start, but in reality it was only the top guys starting at the front. Disappointed. The next time they should rather do something like a pursuit race according to the GC.

Should have done it in reverse, so the leader starts at the back, and the guys lowest on GC start at the front as they could use the help surviving the time limit on such a short stage and because it would be more likely that those starting towards the front would be interested in the break rather than having the top 10 there who would be marking each other.
