Any one else experienced being dropped off about 5kms in to the race? Not even 100% effort brought me closer to catch up. If it was the wind, there would have been more getting dropped.
Also noticed that a breakaway suddenly came to a stop.

I've felt like holding a current position sometimes buggs out aswell, try riding at your own effort in such a situation, or get a wheel.

Its just seems completely off. Now it was 3 riders trying catching another breakaway group but failed even tho the effort was at 80+.

I have experienced that too if I start off with Maintain Position....I just get passed by everybody. Now, I usually just relay for a bit, just enough to hit the front then I have no problems.

My experience is that it is easier to go to the front, especially in the final, with the relay command. Usually I have it low enough so my guy won't relay, but just be there.

I find that its generally ok if I start off by dotting to the front of the race (even when I'm starting at the front), then setting the dot. Otherwise, I get the same deal, you'll be set at dot, the break goes, people ride, you quickly drift to the back and if anyone chases then boom you get blown out the back.
I just generally make sure too keep and eye on it and if people start drifting back i'll dot them back up again. I feel that maintain position is probably tying too much on maintaining position on another rider in the peleton, which means if they drift back cos they are bad, or getting water, then you can end up doing the same and getting spat out.
