Here is the file that will be used to select C1/C2 races, as well as HC for CT teams.
PCT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/38irz1sn25x...T.xls?dl=0
CT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b5vkoel7837...T.xls?dl=0
PCT teams have a total of 175 race days, including their 61/62 HC and 40 PTHC race days.
CT teams have a total of 150 race days, including their 72 C2HC race days.
So PCT have 74/75, CT 78 race days left to choose C1 and C2 races. CT teams will also be able to choose HC races.
PCT teams will be required to sign up to at least 6 C2 race days. The restrictions on riders they can enter into C2 races will be adjusted, to make more riders available. It will now be a maximum OVL of 74.49, with possible stat restrictions on Cobbles and TT riders. (These will be confirmed soon)
To select a race, put a '1' in the bordered box by each race. (Columns E, L, S, Z)
- Once HC bands are revealed, PCT teams must put a 1 by all races in each of their six bands.
- Once PTHC bands are revealed, PCT teams must put a 1 in the box by the name of their two bands.
- CT teams already have a '1' added to the box by the C2HC bands.
Priorities
There is a new Priorities column for each race category this year (Columns F, M, T), which is necessary, because you will not be guaranteed entry into every race you want to ride - due to the limit of 24 teams per race.
PCT teams receive prioritised entry into C1 races by default.
CT teams receive prioritised entry into C2 races by default.
This effectively means you have guaranteed entry into those races - we have never previously had more than 24 PCT teams wish to enter the same C1 race.
PCT teams: You need to put a priority marker next to every C2 race you wish to enter. Put "P1" by your top priority race, "P2" by your next priority, and so on.
CT teams: You need to put a priority marker next to every C1 and HC race you wish to enter. Put "P1" by your top priority race, "P2" by your next priority, and so on.
All teams should then include five additional NX priority markers "N1", "N2", "N3", "N4", and "N5" next to races you have not signed up for in your initial selection. These represent your 5 back-up races, in case you do not receive entry to your initial selections. They can be in any category, although for PCT teams, they should only be necessary for C2 races. This will help to quicken the race assignment process, although in each case, you will be asked to confirm you are happy with the proposed change - and have the opportunity to change your mind.
It may be that five extra races are not enough. In that case, we will follow up for additional choices. However, note that for any additional races, you will no longer receive prioritised entry into your main divisional races over teams from the other division.
Example of how this works:
Spoiler CT team.
They choose their 150 RDs wherever, and by the C1 races they pick, they put P1 next to the one they want the most; then P2; then P3, etc for however many C1 races they went for.
Then they have 5 NX choices. These need to go by races they haven't selected.
So lets say:
N1 for Tour of Eritrea
N2 for Viano de Castelo
N3 for Hanko Classic
N4 for Tour of Britain
N5 for Vuelta al Tachira
---
Scenarios:
1) They wanted to be in Celtic Chrono, but it was full. Two CT teams wanted in, the other team gave it P1, this one only gave it P7 - so will lose out. We can't give them top choice Eritrea as that is 6 RD, so we give them a space in Viano instead.
2) They are rejected from 6 C1 RD. We give them Eritrea, which isn't full.
3) They are rejected from 6 C1 RD, but Eritrea is also full. We give them Viano and Hanko. Hanko was full, but we kick out a PCT team. The CT team still needs 2 more RD to fill, and no other options, so we need to ask them.
They say they want GP Yekaterinburg. But this is also full, and as it wasn't in their 5 NX choices, we will no longer kick out a PCT team to let them ride Yekaterinburg, they need to pick something else.
Deadline to submit your choices is Thursday 27th July. If you miss this deadline, you may lose the chance to have prioritised access into all races, regardless of category.

The race day counter in the selection sheet for CT-teams is counting down from 120 instead of 150.

I have a question the 6 days: The 6 C2 racedays for PCT team do not subtract from the overall amount of racedays and just exist as extra race days on top of the 175 right?

No. The 6+ are part of the 175.

They don't subtract in my sheet, so that might have to be fixed. Will keep it in mind, thanks for the swift answer.

The value in cell J2 does include any C2 choices.
The other box in P2 is a separate count, of C2 only, to help check that minimum has been met.

To note for CT managers:
Following PCT HC choices, all races in Bands 1, 4 and 6 are now full.
Each race in Band 5 has 1 space for a CT team; with 2 spaces per race in Band 7; 4 spaces per race in Band 3; and 5 spaces per race in Band 3.

We had intended to confirm these before transfers, but ... forgot. Nobody has asked about them either, so hopefully that means no plans had been made around it.
The intention is a limit of 77 TT stat and 76 COB stat - only for races where those terrains feature.
The reasoning being that these specialists tend to have a lower OVL, but also CT teams tend to be weaker in those areas.

Open for discussion on whether it is too late to say them now, or whether they're really needed.
But at least you had him already!

I'm 99% sure I saw it somewhere, but I can't find it back. Do you have to notify someone once the race selections file is in your Dropbox? |

Will the ranking points scales be the same as last year? Asking because it may affect my race selection.

SN might correct me, but mainly remains same I think with small changes:
- The Tour of America is C1 ranked, but is getting HC scale points.
- The new double stage time trial classics are still getting the classic scale points. |

Yeh, roturn listed the two most notable 'changes'. There may be little differences in some of the scaling in the lower placings, but fundamentally it will be the same - I can't imagine anything that would change race selection decisions.

Always. How else will we know it's there?
