[CT] BNZ Cycling Team

upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/07/Bank_of_New_Zealand.svg/1200px-Bank_of_New_Zealand.svg.png

Once again in the CT division, the team has seen another rebranding! This time in the form of New Zealand company, BNZ (Bank of New Zealand). This deal comes with not only a new major sponsor, but also a big influx of cash! This will help us with our promotion bid this season as it means we can push for a lot of strong Free Agents as well as make a strong bid on 1 or 2 riders from other teams.

_______________________

This season will see the first time we push for a strong hilly rider. We feel that a lot of points come from hilly classics and we plan on pushing in that area and pick up a strong Hilly climber that could potentially push for a strong final CT ranking for themselves and the team! We also want to bolster up our mountain squad around Campero. We still have full faith in Piter and plan on helping him perhaps win a mountain classic and even a stage race!

_______________________

Finally, we will be pushing to send out the likes of Delgerbayar and Altanzul on loan to try and get the Mongolian pair MAXed. We are unsure on the specifics but we believe that by developing these riders to the fullest we can get a good sprint team developing next season.

Well that's all for now! Some changes happening this season to really push the team to the next level (Which we really haven't done since the start of the team!). We will keep you updated with signing, FA and just general team news!

Welcome to BNZ Cycling Team!!

Having strengthened our hill squad, the Gisborne GP is a real goal of ours and we think we can take the win in our home race! It will be difficult and the competition fierce! This will give us the team's first win in a one day race!

The Giro del Trentino is a stage race we regularly attend. We have a goal of a top 10 at this race and believe it is an achievable goal! With Roe and Campero, we believe that between the two of them we can do very well in Italy!

The Colombian Venteaux is a race we really enjoyed last year! Campero was amazing and we hope he can do even better this year! Our goal of a top 10 is very achievable for the strong climber!!

The Great Ocean Road Race is a race we do quite well in every year. We hope to achieve a top 15 in this race this year and perhaps even better with the like of Von Hoff and Delgerbayar who always seems to do very well at this one day race.

Finally, the CT standings we hope to move into the top 15. With the team we have and the signings we plan on making this is very achievable!! We will be working hard to achieve this as a very important goal for us!

Mongolia, Australia, America, New Zealand. I know which major country will bring you the most success Grin Like the jersey and can't wait for your new plans to reveal themselves - we need to be PCT together next year!

Some big changes and signings only days into the transfer season! We have been really aiming to strengthen our hills and mountains squad and with the following riders believe we have done just that! Please join us in welcoming

Nathan Haas

cdn-cyclingtips.pressidium.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/smalltdu3stage_1131.jpg

Nathan is an amazing hilly rider who has consistently shown his strength while on Bennelong - Mitchelton, our friends from across the ditch. Haas has had a huge impact on Australian cycling and we hope to help him continue that impact in the CT. He will not only be a helper of the team, but also be given his own opportunity to go for glory on multiple occasions in the Black and Pink colours! His full abilities below!!

Lorents Ola Aasvold is an amazing all round climber! The Norwegian will play a big role in the climbing squad of Campero and the hill squad of Haas. As well as get quite a few opportunities to go on his own! We welcome him to the team!!

Loans

We have also been involved in a couple of loans as well. We would like to welcome Jai Hindley to the squad from our friends at Bennelong - Mitchelton. We have had a long relationship with this squad and have continual brought their youngsters over to the CT to help train them up! We hope to continue this in the coming years with the Australian squad and their manager tsmoha!

We would also like to take the time to say goodbye for a season to Maani Altanzul. The Mongolian has been around since day 1 and its sad to see him leave. However, he will return stronger then ever next year! The Mongolian Champion will return! Thankyou to T-Mobile and manager Heine for taking the rider for this season!

So we have revealed our signings for the season. Now here comes our Free Agents. After searching long and hard for a really strong leader in the hills we may finally have done it!

Ladies and Gentlemen! Please join us in welcoming to BNZ Cycling Team

Joshua Edmondson

cycling.today/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Joshua-Edmondson.jpg

Edmondson is an amazing hill rider who will be leading the hilly squad throughout the season! With the help of Haas and Gunman as his main helpers, Edmondson hopes to win the Gisborne GP which is our main goal for the season!! Edmondson was signed for a small wage of just 200k and will be a huge asset to the squad and we can't wait to have him with us for the season ahead and many more to come!!

Finally, we would like to announce a rider who will be apart of the future of this cycling team and the future of New Zealand cycling...

Nick Reddish

XP : 1.00 - Potential : 5

Nick has won all over New Zealand and finally joins the Pro Circuit and the MG with a New Zealand squad! We are so excited to have Nick with us and can't wait to help him develop into the rider and a legend he will most definitely become!!

FLMOHITTSTARESRECCOSPACCFIDOPR

We believe that Nick can become a great team rider and we will be focusing on track sprint training with him. A lot of people believe otherwise but we intend to prove them all wrong and show them how strong he can become! When he reaches his full potential he will still need some training which we will put as much time and money into as needed to help him get to the top!

Probably a different way most people would go but Nick and the team have full faith in the training system and expect him to go very far in his career with this training!!

A hill challenger appears! But for your own sake I suggest you avoid racing against Siskevicius Wink

tsmoha
Edmondson finally gives you a shot at hill races, nice addition. Completely missed you had Reddish bagged. Obviously he was on my list, too Wink but I already have too many mediocre Aussie talents under contract Grin glad he found a team with an Aussie touch though.

jandal7
Hell yes to both, love the Edmondson addition (Wink) and the Reddish direction, even if I'd love him Pfft As said, can't wait for your full squad presentation and hopefully a promo charge!

@quadsas - I hope that when they do meet the Brit comes out on top Wink

@tsmoha - Yeh Edmondson is a great signing for us! I honestly think its the guy we have been missing for our promotion fight!

I was also wondering why you hadn't tried to get Reddish..Same with Jandal. I thought I'd have a huge fight for him with the both of you haha. But Glad I was able to snag up a talent!! I was leaning to training him in Time Trial and then push training and make him the next Jesse Sergent hahaha.

@J7 - Definitely both big signings for us!! Super excited to see where they get us!!!

I think everyone will be impressed with the full presentation! Picked up some great signings! Although my sprint team is lacking a bit...and the one guy that actually tried to lead out Von Hoff at any point I've loaned to the PT to MAX out...Whoops Rolling Eyes
