This has been added to assist CT teams with race planning, given the larger calendar, and increase in race clashes. The two additions will only be free for the one season, and will then request a wage of at least 50k at the next renewals.
I've got some quick questions regarding this new rule:
Firstly, if I release a rider in my renewals and he is still available after transfers can I resign him under this rule or is he exempt from it for my team?
Secondly, if 2 teams want to use this rule to sign the same rider how is it decided which team he goes to?
Lastly, Are these riders restricted in the number of race days they can use or the division they can ride in or months of the calendar they can ride in beyond what their race days would allow if the were signed as a €50,000 rider?
Sorry I just want to understand this rule fully before I do my renewals as it could impact on whether or not I renew 1 or 2 guys.

Don`t see any problem with it in case they are still available post transfers.

Will be announced later (Transfer Rules).
Lastly, Are these riders restricted in the number of race days they can use or the division they can ride in or months of the calendar they can ride in beyond what their race days would allow if the were signed as a €50,000 rider?
Same as above. |

All managers should have their renewals file now in their dropbox.
If you still miss it, give me a quick PM. |

Just so you know, I'm waiting on the Cuban/Qatar NC's before I want to start renewals, since they might impact whether I want to resign a rider or not.

I will wait until I know my budget, there's some potentially tight planning involved this season.

Note: I will no longer have access to dropbox or a notebook and will be on mobile only for the next ~11 days.
Hence whoever is not yet finished with renewals or didn`t even start yet, can no longer PM me.
Instead PM SportingNonsense for your renewals. |

See things are moving along now, so will be finishing round 1 soon (and in light of Roturn above, liaising with SN!).
My one query (aimed at our Super(!!)-Admins, not those who have already done renewals) is was there any update to the renewals approach/formulation in light of the overhaul of rider OVR rating? Sure I saw mentioned somewhere buried in discussion that like rider RD's, renewals was potentially up for minor alteration in response. Thanks again.

It's no coincidence that the new OVL was sorted before renewals

Yesterday there was 2 PT, 1 PCT and 1 CT yet to start renewals. I know for a fact at least 1 more PT has sent round 1. So unless anything else has changed there are 1 from each division still not started.
I want a list of shame. There should be no reason not to start now, we have all NCs requested (as I see it), we can send in goals (and SN has said he will give budget if anyone needs it) and we know all the races (though not calender, but that aint needed for renewals)

If I choose to renew my best riders in a view to sell them and take the fines, instead of releasing them for free, is that allowed?

Of course, you're allowed to finish renewals with any kind of combined salary.
Obviously, you must be confident that you can sell them for at least twice their wage, but that assessment is completely up to you.
