Week 1: Challenge of Naples
The Campania region dominates the first week, with quite a variety in profiles. We start around Naples, and for the first time, the presence of cobbles in a MG Grand Tour - the opening prologue will take place at Pompeii. A Naples circuit awaits on Stage 2, before a hill spectacle on the Amalfi Coast. And on Stage 4, yes, that's a mountain time trial up Mt. Vesuvio.
A few sprinter opportunities for the rest of the week, although not the most straight forward.
Two summit finishes in the second week, at Altopiano del Montasio and Jafferau, but also a couple of hill-rated stages. There's something for the sprinters as well, but the start of this week is a long 59km team time trial.
Week 3: Climbing to the end
Col du Galibier and Val Martello host the first two summit finishes of this week, surrounding a 30km individual time trial. Then the Falzes - Cortina d'Ampezzo stage returns for the third consecutive year. Quite a lot happened on this stage last year.
For the finale, a climb up to Tre Crime di Lavaredo, and the final stage in Brescia.

6x Mountain
3x Hill
4x TT (Cobbled Prologue, Mountain, TTT, ITT)
8x Flat

4 TT's in total. That's something new alright. I like it. Also a clever way of introducing the cobblers worth to a GT, although I would have liked to see it on a flat/hill stage also to make it complete.
This route opens for so many different rider types, while it probably still ends up with the same winner types as usual.
The prologue could be great for riders like Blythe, Bewley, Polanc, Wisniowski, Rowe, Kruijswijk, Spilak, Vlatos, van Avermaet, Gerts, Herklotz, Edmonson, Kristoff, Boom etc. - Really interesting to see how people plan out their relatively expensive riders (RD wise), and if a potential Maglia Rosa can make some very big names attend the race.

I like a good Tre Cime MTF and the stage 19 again especially, and who can ever say no to some Gavia-Stelvio or Telegraphe-Galibier shenanigans? If stage 6 is the stage I think it is then it's fun too, nice to have a spicy flat stage in there Ouch that TTT thansk for the presentation SN and to the route decider guys
No cobble sign on the prologue, intentional?

The TT sign overwrites the cobbles sign in that view - game isn't able to show both.

Interesting with a relative late TTT btw. I guess that's only possible because of the no-crash setting.
Also, Andy Schlecks final GT win? A MTT up Mt. Vesuvio - How fitting

Has Passo Giau made a deal with Giro organizers? It is used multiple times again!
Tre Cime <3
I like the route but there can be more descent finishes, in both mountain and hill stages.
The ITT kms is good.

Hm, that first week looks interesting for all of my star riders.
After that, it's quickly turning into a very specific kind of route which will surely lead to an exciting build-up to the start list release. That TTT looks like it could become the most dreaded day for a few managers months in advance.

Wait, that 59 km of TT on stage 10 is a TTT?
I take back the good things I said about the ITT kms. 31 km of flat ITT is just not enough.

I really don't see the fuzz... It's not like all GT's should be completely balanced towards a mixture of TT and climbing beasts. There will be 2 more GT's, and I suspect some will have more flat TT, while one might have as little as 1 TT.
These versatile parcours makes for some interesting management. If the parcours were always the same it would also be very easy to plan your season. And the PT managers have the easiest planning task, so stuff like this makes it more fun.

Didn't quite know what QTF standed for, so decided to look it up. The first result on google:
Quit Talking Faggot...
I hope that is not what it actually means

So, Vuelta for the sprinters, Giro for the timetrialists...
Tour for the cobblers?
