Introduction
The newest addition to the professional cycling scene, Dviračių Klubas Žalgiris is a Lithuanian project carrying the legacy of legendary Žalgiris name. While Lithuania has always had decent representation in the cycling scene (especially women's), emphasis has never been put on creating a team dedicated towards professional success. Well, that changes now, and with a simple goal in mind - becoming the dominant Baltic team, DK Žalgiris is in preparations for the transfer season and the squad for the next season is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Always had in mind to build a base in the Baltics, though Estonia focussed. It will be very interesting to follow you throughout the season. Lithuania has a great history with strong CT riders, so I think that there is great possibilities for your project to evolve into a strong representative for the Baltics. I wish you the best!

Love the idea and the Lithuanian focus, best of luck

Welcome and good luck - looks like an ambitious plant to try to unseat Evonik, but that would be a few years away anyhow. Best of luck in your maiden season, and the first transfer window as well

Very interesting. Especially since most of the best baltic riders are already under contract and further talent should be hard fought.
I have toyed with moving into the scene myself, but can't see it as a viable option for now.
As for a CT team it might be a good move, however. Certainly and interesting one, and a team I will follow with great interest

We are going to use some less than ethical tactics to overcome that |

Cool to get a Lithuanian project. Before settling on Finland myself I considered the Baltics and currently have it as the place I look when I run out of suited Finnish/Swedish riders

This isn't a Lithuanian project per say, I am simply Lithuanian, how could I betray my country like that. |

With transfer window opening, DK Žalgiris went into with a goal in mind - acquiring a marquee Lithuanian rider. After lengthy discussion with neighbouring Evonik - ELKO, paperwork has been filed for Evaldas Siskevicius transfer to the newly formed Lithuanian POWERHOUSE. As part of the deal, Miguel Angel Lopez, another capable puncheur, will likely join Žalgiris on a loan.
Another piece of news surround Egidijus Juodvalkis, a Lithuanian climber (something that hasn't been seen since disgraced Rumsas), is also en route to Kaunas, joining the team barring any logistical errors.

Nice set off hills riders there with MAL and Siskevicius! Bet you are happy with them
Also nice with a decent climber from your focus area too! Looks like a solid start to life in the CT.

Siskevicius is indeed a premium addtion for a CT team! Congrats on him, he should be a promising rider this season. MAL as a great support, too. Three good signings, well done.

Spoiler For the future: I would wait the 24h deadline before announcing those deals in your HQ. I'm pretty sure this wont be an issue here but it could lead to annoying situations
This is an awesome group for the CT hills already and i will surely follow your team very closely throughout the season
Also thanks for the nice talks during the negotiation, it was a pleasure to deal with you

About the spoiler, obviously I understand that, but with both deals both sides were in agreement that deals will go through
And thanks for nice comments to everyone, more to come |
