He clearly has. The only reason Porte has been decreased a point is because of his sluggish start to the season so far and has not looked at his best. If of course he finds the form of last season where he was the best climber of the season up until his crash in the Tour then he'll be back upto 82

Fuglsang was better...
Ports can not in GTs, where competitors are in much better shape and do not drive it as training. |

What I know is that he has a powerful engine on the flat. Can clearly climb and probably better than the 71 mtn that he has (we'll soon see) can clearly go well on hills and can TT. Res may well be his best stat to work on as he is a power rider. Currently he is as below but may well change
Flat 77
Mtn 71
hill 76
TT 74
Pro 75
Res 76

Meintjes : 79rec>75 he is anonymous in Giro
Alaphillipe : 76mon>75, 72rec>69, 72clm>70 same level than Pinot in Time Trial with 72 and he gets poorly on one-week races and limited in the mountains

Thanks and some of those I have added but there are some issues.
1. Not sure what TT stats you think for Bernal, Landa and Alaphilippe here when you say 72>68 for example is that for TT and Pro or the number that the TT should be decreased to. Most of those riders already have 72 in TT anyway
2. Also I'm not happy with Alaphilippe at 76 mtn which is too high but he's at that to keep him competitive with Valverde at Ardennes given that mtn stat is more dominant than hill. 75 though could work if there are noticebale differences with higher acc and res for Alaphilippe over Valverde to balance things out
3. Meintjes is a problem his high placing in the Tour are still relevant and think this Giro has just been a really bad Giro for him. He has been reduced to 77 mtn and might be harsh to reduce his rec again but a diofficult one

Main question at the moment is whether to have Yates on 80 or 81 mtn depending on the outcome of the final stages. He's a rider of high res as well because once he attacks he can keep it going to the end.
At the moment Chaves is 79 mtn to give Yates team leadership if selected together. I think Yates definitely worth one mtn point more but not sure if worth two.
I think the other GT riders are pretty much statted unless there is a surprise in the last three stages. No point doing Froome until the Tour.
Did lots of TT stats today for the GC riders with the exception of Aru of course
As for what to give Aru in TT I've no idea, this rider is one of the mysteries in cycling and so unpredictable.
Last week is usually about doing the rec stat for most of the riders.

About Yates he's doing something incredible at the Giro and considering he's outclassing Froome (82) and has less TT, less REC and everything else, he could deserve 82 too (i don't think Froome came to Giro just for Tour, otherwise could have keep doing the same schedule that gave him 4 tours)...but...at such high values i think it's risky to upgrande more than 2 stats, so i'd give 80 however this giro ends (unless he win with 5 minutes lead ) and upgrade more in REC depending on last stages. Then we'll see if he keeps this form and won't be Kruijwswijk 2.0.
I'm just sure he can't be on the same level of Bernal, too overhyped. He didn't contend against best climbers on GTs this year
I don't think Chaves deserves to be better than Aru right now (i know that he's unlucky but we should base on performance), i'd switch their REC value
Yates 78 ACC maybe, Dumoulin 80TT 79PR, Dennis 76/or 77(?)MO 80TT 81PR
Pozzovivo is slightly better than Pinot actually so 80 could be fair and 77 rec.
Aru's performance today was too f*****g stunning, he could never come 20" behind Dumoulin 81TT (-5 daily form) with his 70TT (+5 daily form), take that in mind, also 2'45" better than Pinot who has 71, i think that 72TT/68PR fits him right especially if we see Chaves too 71...
And Froome is only 76TT because he's GC contender right?
That's all for now, we have so much to talk about |

Froome will stay at 82 until the Tour but this Giro has ridden like a 78-80 mtn rider and only change for him has been a 1 decrease in hill so far.
Yates actually has higher hill and acc than Froome and same RES so if he's an 80 he will be a very powerful 80. Also He is a stronger80 than Bernal who imo is a defo 80 but since he has achieved this outside a GT he will have lower backup stats thus making Yates a stronger 80 but as said there is a possibility that Yates could finish on 81 even though I prefer 80.
I still think Pinot is worth 80 but will be a weaker 80 due to other lowered stats and Pozzovivo a stronger 79 as some of his other stats are good. Pinot at least has been willing to work with Tom D to bring back Yates whereas Pozzovivo less so and this is where he has saved strength
Chave and Aru will both be 79. Chaves has been affected by sickness which is sad for the stats and Aru so unpredictable to stat but will keep working on him. You mention that his rec should be lowered but he still finished very highly at the last Tour which is still relevant for the stats.
I don't think that TOm D should have TT reduced for gaming purposes I remember when I played my last Giro with his 79 mtn he struggled to stay with the 81 riders like Nibali in the mtns even his res and tt couldn't bridge the gap in the stage or TT. Therefore his RES was increased even higher and TT should be kept high.
Dennis I think a clear 76 at least now but 77 a possibility. Thomas iis 77 (actually a 78 see edit) mtn right now and a similar rider would he be riding better than Dennis if he were in the Giro? I may change Dennis TT as you stated to 1 more TT and 1 less pro but will see.
Also for in- game purposes when Tom D won the Giro he would've entered the Giro in top pre race form but this Giro his game form would've been lower unless of course he improves in the final 3 stages.
Also worth considering and something that can't be recreated in game, is that Yates has taken advantage of bad tactics from his rivals and that has really helped him.

Dennis is 76 mtn in my opinion, as especially his res, but also other backup-stats are quite high. But his rec has gotten quite a lot better. Thomas is more 78 than 77 mtn to me. He's been very consistent in climbing very well the past two years, but has had some unfortunate technical situations. |

Pinot shouldn't be climbing better than Pozzo though, Pozzo gapped Pinot in Zonc and they seemed evenly matched. The last 3 MT stages should give us a better view though.
Also Froome should have higher than 76 TT. These results show he should be better than 76:
https://www.cqrank...ceid=31217
https://www.cqrank...ceid=31236
https://www.cqrank...ceid=31275
https://www.cqrank...ceid=32248
https://www.cqrank...ceid=33228
As for Aru, the result was either fully a result of drafting, or he had a rest day magic in which case he will fly in the MT stages of this week.
