To be honest, Carapaz taking the first of many GT wins makes up for any borefest we see along the way. The guy is going to lift Ecuador cycling to a whole new level. Colombia, watch out. Richie will probably beat Nairito to his first Tour win lol.

Agree, I really don't know why they have these long climbs with really low gradient, as the favs never do anything on it.
I did think though the stage was made exciting by the dynamic of the breakaway and whether Bouwman could hold on or not and of course the rain added some more interest as well.

Bahrain on the move today. Boaro and Visconti on the break, other names like Wellens, Brambilla, Masnada or Carthy in the mix too. Maybe some sort of tactic later on for Pozzovivo? |

In the balance again. Last 4km will kick off, as it's 10% from there, and break will lose time fast thereafter...my money is on GC guys this time but probably tight again.
