It's Draft Day!!! The first true day of the 2018/19 season is upon us!
I'll be celebrating in my now usual way: watch the film "Draft Day" starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner, then fall asleep before the actual draft happens
Can't wait for Seattle to draft no-one worth while in Round 1 and wait until Friday to do even less in the later rounds... Seriously, it's gonna be a loooong season... At least there's some entertainment to derive at the sharp end of the draft watching teams scramble around for QB's.
Also the Jaguars owner is making a £800-900mil bid to buy Wembly from the FA. Further "encouragement" the Jags will move to the UK at some stage, although i'm praying so hard this sale doesn't happen because Wembley is a damn national monument!

Haha!
Starting to yet again see alot of "chatter" about Baker Mayfield going first to Cleveland... Hopefully they smarten up and take some other QB!
For "my" team, i hope the Patriots get's a solid DB or defensive player and a QB in the first round.

Well, they did not smarten up.. They had 2 picks in the Top 5 and still managed to screw them both up

Best QB in the draft and best CB in the draft - the only other pick worth making at 4 was potentially Chubb, and that would have been poor positional value with Garrett and Ogbah already on the roster. Would have preferred to trade down from 4 to collect more picks (really wanted the Bills' 1st rounder next year) but the offers weren't there.
Considering I feared we'd take Barkley and Allen, can't be unhappy with how things turned out. Hoping for Williams and Landry with 33 and 35, though wouldn't be unhappy with Guice, Hurst or Gesicki either. |

I don't think Kansas will beat Chargers to the AFC West, just swapping them around as i do think they'll reach 10 wins and make the playoffs.
I'd swap Dallas and the Giants, Dallas damages to the O-Line will hurt them hard whilst the Giants seem to be pretty much back at full strength.
And i know the Pats are the Pats and will still be strong, but 13-3 is being kind and i don't think they have the roster depth to make the Super Bowl. I think the AFC will be represented by the Steelers (or the Jags if we see an injury to one of the B's).
NFC is harder to call, but i don't see the Falcons going all the way. Ryan will improve over last year but he'd not going to be 2016 good. Add in the extra pressure and noise of trying to make a home Bowl and they'll fold early.
I think the Saints are the team to watch. Last years star Rookies have only gotten more experienced and the team overall i think has improved again.

I can't see how Pittsburgh goes over Jacksonville, they beat them twice last season and this year Jacksonville has only but upgraded their squad and Pittsburgh has lost (at least he hasn't showed up yet) Bell, so... I don't know, but if they get through the season injury free (they already lost Lee though), Jacksonville might go to the SB.
