Yes and no.

That was I question I wanted to ask and had forgotten again. It makes sense to me that these are the starting stats next season.

I thought you'd like him.

Ages are the current ages, so will be +1 in next season's db. Stats stay the same.
There will be a chance to get rid of some riders during transfers. Will cost you something though. Maybe I'll make it cheaper than before, because several teams seem to have signed lots of crap due to the new scouting system. |

Pah, that's their fault. I didn't sign anybody terrible. Ok, I didn't sign anybody. But that's because all the riders I found were terrible.

this - teams had to deal with crap like this in the past (Santos, SAP, Leopard, CSC,...) as well

I also think that every team should stick with the riders they have signed. In fact, it may lead to abuse if it doesn't have consequences.

Weird examples bc all of those teams had multiple top talents, too.

Sacking riders has always been possible during transfers, this isn't anything new. |

Yeah in reality I absolutely think we/they should have to keep (or sack with the cost) the signed riders - that's the risk and fun of the scouting.

Of course sacking should be possible, I was just wondering about making it cheaper. I was open enough to announce that I only bid on one rider in this round, which was meant as a sort of... warning/recommendation, don't be fooled by a couple of positive impressions and don't expect that a rider's real AVG will be at the top end of the range. That's gambling and if you do that, you can win or lose.
Maybe next season I'd like to see individual scouting to be more efficient. It took me two rounds of investigating just one rider to fully reveal his AVG and pot with a maxed out scout, after 10 rounds I guess I'll only have fully scouted two or three riders.

I disagree, i like this scouting system. It forces more complexity and choice. Do i spend time scouting a small number to get the most information on them, or do i spread my resources and cover more riders in less detail. It makes a really nice balance, and encourages you to either be really specific and detailed on specific areas or to invest heavily in scouting to get lots of detail.
Even with one scout if i got all information in one round i could fully scout 27 riders which is, i feel, a lot. Especially if you buy packs giving you specific high potential riders.

I think the system works really well so far and that the amount of information is just about right and I am a big fan of it. In fact, it encourages greater investment from the teams next season, which I think is only good because far too little money has been invested in scouting in the past, myself included.

Yep system is fine, I got pretty damn lucky again with a minimal budget, just like last year... Is a good way to keep interest over the course of a season as well, which is good to see.
