Not my terrain. I don't know what you had expected
Tour de France
Again a stage for pure sprinters. S. Thwaites went for the early breakaway as I was protecting our leader. Also another stage with more than 200 kms to ride. But it ended with a mass sprint. It was really close for the escapees as the peloton caught them less than 10 kms before the finish. No one leader from our team lost time which is most important. Yet, another top 10 place for me!

Very important stage for Quintana. Not his terrain. Stage categorized as hilly, but I think it's more mountainous than it looks. Nairo needs to be protected and well placed. I was working at the head of the group to catch the breakaway. After first KotM finish there were some splits in the peloton. For the few kms in the first group there were only 44 riders. Only Alex (Dowsett) was the one behind from our team. All favourites were there. Before the final climb there were only 27 riders in the first group. M. Soler did fantastic job to finish 2nd today. Quintana, Majka and Zakarin were all in the top 10. Amazing performance! But Zaka and Rafa lost more than 3 minutes today. First two riders abandoned the race.
1 | Warren Barguil | FDJ | 4h43'52 | 2 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | s.t. | 3 | Thibaut Pinot | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 4 | Miguel Angel Lopez | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 5 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | s.t. | 6 | Adrien Costa | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 7 | Pierre-Roger Latour | Credit Agricole | s.t. | 8 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | + 3'26 | 9 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | + 3'58 | 10 | Kenny Elissonde | Quick-Step Floors | + 4'48 | ... | ... | ... | ... | 21 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | + 7'16 | 48 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 11'52 | | 106 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | + 17'38 | 147 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | + 22'12 | 179 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | + 24'20 |
Oh well... I was only hoping to be inside the time limit for today's stage. I was working at the head of the group as long as I could. At the Grand Colombier Majka did one hell of the selection having Quintana on his wheel. I stopped working when Majka decided to put his acceleration on the steepest segments. Pole lost a lot of time, but Quintana did his job. He was 5th today. Soler lost 2 and half minutes.
1 | Thibaut Pinot | Quick-Step Floors | 5h25'51 | 2 | Miguel Angel Lopez | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 3 | Warren Barguil | FDJ | s.t. | 4 | Pierre-Roger Latour | Credit Agricole | s.t. | 5 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | s.t. | 6 | Julian Alaphilippe | Credit Agricole | + 2'37 | 7 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | s.t. | 8 | Adrien Costa | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 9 | Adam Yates | Credit Agricole | + 4'16 | 10 | Merhawi Kudus | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 19 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | + 5'35 | 34 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | + 9'21 | 43 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | + 10'27 | 98 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 19'56 | 113 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | + 22'58 | 166 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | + 35'29 | 174 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | + 37'15 |
Potential winner of this Tour is in the top 7 at the moment. Adrien Costa which was a leader since the beginning lost few minutes and now he is 6th. M. Soler is 7th and Zakarin 9th. Majka lost to much time to be even in the top 15. Nairo Quintana is doing really good at the moment. Maybe he isn't performing great on the stages, but he is 2nd in the GC losing only 21" to Thibaut Pinot. It is going to be chaos later on!
1 | Thibaut Pinot | Quick-Step Floors | 37h19'12 | 2 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | + 21 | 3 | Warren Barguil | FDJ | s.t. | 4 | Miguel Angel Lopez | Bora - Hansgrohe | + 25 | 5 | Pierre-Roger Latour | Credit Agricole | + 1'44 | 6 | Adrien Costa | BMC Racing Team | + 2'28 | 7 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | + 3'06 | 8 | Julian Alaphilippe | Credit Agricole | + 8'53 | 9 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | + 10'05 | 10 | Adam Yates | Credit Agricole | + 10'41 | 11 | Kenny Elissonde | Quick-Step Floors | + 11'09 | 12 | Jaka Primozic | Team Dimension Data | + 11'43 | 13 | Stefano Nardelli | Movistar Team | + 11'50 | 14 | Davide Formolo | Orica - Scott | + 12'48 | 15 | Clément Chevrier | FDJ | + 13'40 | ... | ... | ... | ... | 20 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | + 16'33 | 28 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | + 19'01 | 73 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 36'02 | 106 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | + 46'01 | 163 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | + 1h04'48 | 166 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | + 1h05'33 |

Yes! It is indeed more than I expected. Especially in mountains. I was thinking it will be really hard to even survive on some stages, but it seems preparation paid off!
Now the Christmas are over I can bring back this story
Tour de France
After the break we are back for a stage for pure sprinters! Again my job was to working at the head of the group. We needed to protect our leaders and good GC places. Medium wind today: 25-32 km/h. It was really hard today to be well placed before the sprint. I was to far to fight for the top 10.
1 | Phil Bauhaus | Team Sunweb | 3h47'05 | 2 | Higinio Millar | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 3 | Peter Sagan | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 4 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 5 | Bryan Coquard | Picard | s.t. | 6 | Jérémy Lecroq | FDJ | s.t. | 7 | Marcel Kittel | Team Katusha - Alpecin | s.t. | 8 | Stan Dewulf | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 9 | Gürkan Gobet | JBL | s.t. | 10 | Jason Lowndes | Orica - Scott | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 12 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. | 15 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | s.t. | 20 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | s.t. | 22 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | s.t. | 24 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | s.t. | 27 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | s.t. | 29 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | s.t. | 37 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | s.t. | 55 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | s.t. |
Another flat stage and another 200 kms to ride. Again mass sprint and again I was working at the head of the group. Really fast tempo since the start. The breakaway couldn't have more than 2 minutes lead over the peloton. Another top 10!
1 | Phil Bauhaus | Team Sunweb | 4h08'07 | 2 | Peter Sagan | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 3 | Pascal Ackermann | Team Sunweb | s.t. | 4 | Bert Van Lerberghe | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 5 | Jérémy Lecroq | FDJ | s.t. | 6 | Bryan Coquard | Picard | s.t. | 7 | Marcel Kittel | Team Katusha - Alpecin | s.t. | 8 | Stan Dewulf | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 9 | Jason Lowndes | Orica - Scott | s.t. | 10 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 17 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | s.t. | 21 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | s.t. | 27 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | s.t. | 29 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | s.t. | 30 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | s.t. | 40 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | s.t. | 59 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | s.t. | 62 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | s.t. |
Team Sky train to work for Quintana just after the start. Really hard stage. Now the rivalry will begin. I tried to score some points on the intermediate sprint, help Quintana as long as it's possible and finish inside the time limit. I lost contact with the peloton on the first category climb. Long day... Also Nairo lost more than a minute to Barguil.
1 | Clément Chevrier | FDJ | 5h57'33 | 2 | Warren Barguil | FDJ | + 12 | 3 | Jaka Primozic | Team Dimension Data | + 37 | 4 | Thibaut Pinot | Quick-Step Floors | + 1'25 | 5 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | + 1'35 | 6 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | + 1'45 | 7 | Miguel Angel Lopez | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 8 | Pierre-Roger Latour | Credit Agricole | + 1'58 | 9 | Adrien Costa | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 10 | Frits Martens | Orica - Scott | + 2'08 | ... | ... | ... | ... | 16 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | + 3'21 | 19 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | + 4'37 | 29 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | + 9'02 | 77 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 25'00 | 88 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | + 28'31 | 140 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | + 41'07 | 178 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | + 45'11 |
Quintana now 3rd in the GC, but with 1'23" already behind Barguil. Two Frenchmens (with Pinot) are going to destroy every other opponent. I want to be wrong... Soler still on the good 7th place.
1 | Warren Barguil | FDJ | 51h12'30 | 2 | Thibaut Pinot | Quick-Step Floors | + 52 | 3 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | + 1'23 | 4 | Miguel Angel Lopez | Bora - Hansgrohe | + 1'37 | 5 | Pierre-Roger Latour | Credit Agricole | + 3'09 | 6 | Adrien Costa | BMC Racing Team | + 3'53 | 7 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | + 4'18 | 8 | Julian Alaphilippe | Credit Agricole | + 11'19 | 9 | Jaka Primozic | Team Dimension Data | + 11'47 | 10 | Clément Chevrier | FDJ | + 13'07 | 11 | Stefano Nardelli | Movistar Team | + 14'38 | 12 | Davide Formolo | Orica - Scott | + 15'14 | 13 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | + 18'34 | 14 | Frits Martens | Orica - Scott | + 18'37 | 15 | Adam Yates | Credit Agricole | + 18'56 | ... | ... | ... | ... | 18 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | + 20'37 | 21 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | + 21'49 | 69 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 1h00'29 | 89 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | + 1h13'59 | 158 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | + 1h46'07 | 165 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | + 1h49'26 |

Tour de France
Only 100 kms, but what a stage! Three very hard climbs. Many things to win, a lot of time to lose. All the favourites ended in the first, very small group of riders. Marc Soler was the fastest from that group, but he finished "only" for the 2nd place.
1 | Damiano Caruso | Credit Agricole | 2h50'40 | 2 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | + 1'09 | 3 | Thibaut Pinot | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 4 | Jaka Primozic | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 5 | Victor Lafay | Credit Agricole | s.t. | 6 | Warren Barguil | FDJ | s.t. | 7 | Jakob Fuglsang | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 8 | Miguel Angel Lopez | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 9 | Clément Chevrier | FDJ | s.t. | 10 | Pierre-Roger Latour | Credit Agricole | s.t. | 11 | Adrien Costa | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 12 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | s.t. | 13 | Fabio Felline | Team Katusha - Alpecin | + 1'53 | 14 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | s.t. | 15 | Stefano Nardelli | Movistar Team | s.t. | 16 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | s.t. | 17 | Merhawi Kudus | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 18 | Stefan Küng | Movistar Team | s.t. | 19 | Julian Alaphilippe | Credit Agricole | s.t. | 20 | Davide Formolo | Orica - Scott | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 35 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | + 4'00 | 97 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 10'07 | 118 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | + 13'24 | 141 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | + 16'17 | 147 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | + 17'09 |
Not that hard stage as those previous. Maybe not exactly my terrain, but I really wanted to do my best today. I was saving the energy for the last kms. I knew it was one of the last chances to shine. At the end Barguil was 3rd today. I finished again in the top 10 which is great. None of our leaders lost time.

Hilly stage which isn't exactly hilly. To hard for me. It was a great opportunity to gain some time before last hard mountain stages. I was working hard today at the front of the peloton. I gained few points on the intermediate sprint and barely survived first category climb. Barely! In the peloton there were only 50 riders just 25 kms before finish. Just 8 kms before finish - only 53 riders in the peloton. It was a great chance for another top 10 place. 7th place is really good but I expected something better. Seriously, it was an amazing chance.

Tour de France
Last six stages. This time a great stage for the escapees. Just after second day of break. Medium wind today: 29-31 km/h at the start to about 25 km/h at 20 kms before the finish. Again I was working at the head of the peloton. I decided also to save my energy for the last kms as it was yet another chance for top 10 place. No top 5 yet, but I believe it will happen at some point. But today I was more than just blocked.

Last two mountain stages in this Tour. Last chance for Quintana to win this race. Team Sky was working really hard since the beginning of today's stage. I was doing my best as long as I could. I didn't have more energy in the middle of the first HC. climb because of ORICA - Scott riders attacking. From that point on it was just riding to the finish for me. Our leaders I think totally wasted today's stage. Especially Nairo with his +5 in daily form.

Last mountain stage! Last chance to do anything in this Tour. Unless you are TT specialist which top 4 in GC aren't. Again I was working at the front of the peloton as long as I could. I think I'll try maybe a breakaway tomorrow? Who knows? Nairo did one hell of a job winning today's stage! It's not over yet!

Thanks guys! I hope I'm back for some time!
Tour de France
220 kms of a stage which might end via mass sprint. Or a breakaway? I didn't went for the breakaway. I was thinking about it, but I was scheduled to work at the front of the peloton. Long day... This stage was indeed for the breakaway.
1 | Sep Vanmarcke | Team Dimension Data | 5h06'07 | 2 | Fabian Lienhard | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 3 | Kevin Reza | Cofidis, Solutions Crédits | s.t. | 4 | Arnaud Courteille | Total | s.t. | 5 | Andrea Fedi | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 6 | Elie Gesbert | Credit Agricole | s.t. | 7 | Felix Gall | Spiuk | s.t. | 8 | Lukas Spengler | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 9 | Jelle Wallays | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 10 | Clément Davy | Delko - Marseille Provence | s.t. | 11 | Phil Bauhaus | Team Sunweb | + 1'31 | 12 | Jason Lowndes | Orica - Scott | s.t. | 13 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 14 | Bryan Coquard | Picard | s.t. | 15 | Lorenzo Manzin | Total | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 29 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. | 34 | Scott Thwaites | Team Sky | s.t. | 39 | Nairo Quintana | Team Sky | s.t. | 40 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | s.t. | 42 | Marc Soler | Team Sky | s.t. | 46 | Romain Bardet | Team Sky | s.t. | 59 | Ilnur Zakarin | Team Sky | s.t. | 67 | Alex Dowsett | Team Sky | s.t. | 76 | Rafał Majka | Team Sky | s.t. |
An ITT. Quintana has to gain more than 31" to win this race. Is this possible? Can I get also decent time? My objective was to finish in the top 50 of the classification of the stage. Well... It wasn't my best ITT in my life. I made few mistakes. I really wanted to do top 50, but I failed... Quintana was really good today. Great result and barely got himself 2nd place in the GC with the same time as 3rd Barguil!

All I can say is that I'm really happy! It's my first ever Grand Tour and I actually finished it! I had a big problems on the mountain stages before Tour so I was worried how it will go. Well... Nairo was 2nd which is really good, but our sponsor wanted a final victory. I was in the top 10 on 8 stages! That's impressive! Also I wasn't last in the GC. Preparation paid off. 74th place is good, but 8th place in the points classification is even better! I'll definitely comeback here next year for more challenges. Now few days of break, RideLondon Classic and BinckBank Tour! |

Yeah, I was really worried how it will end, because of my previous experience in mountains. But at the end I have to say it was a great race!
After le Tour we are back to racing in Britain! We need to win this race. Our sponsor wants that from us. We have Broughton which is one of the main favourites for this race, but I know how it might go. You know the drill, breakaway... Only 84 riders so big chances for them. I was working at the front of the peloton. And to be honest, I'm not that tired after le Tour de France.

I did an amazing job! I was doing a train for Glenn and he finished my job perfectly! Yet somehow I still managed to finish 9th! |

I'm just after my fitness peak, don't expect any good results here. Maybe a top 10 on some stages might happen, but I don't expect anything good. I just finished my first ever Tour de France so I'm a bit tired. But... Let's see!
Most stages are completely flat. Like this one. I was working at the front of the peloton. Stage 1:
1 | Lorenzo Manzin | Total | 3h27'40 | 2 | Karl Patrick Lauk | Certipost | s.t. | 3 | John Degenkolb | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 4 | Stan Dewulf | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 5 | Kristoffer Halvorsen | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 6 | Boris Vallée | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 7 | Sami Al Hamdani | Bahrain - Merida | s.t. | 8 | Grigoriy Shtein | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 9 | Jérémy Lecroq | FDJ | s.t. | 10 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 11 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. |
Flat ITT. My objective was to finish in the top 50 today. 16th place is much more than I expected. Stage 2:
1 | Dylan Van Baarle | Movistar Team | 11'49 | 2 | Wout Van Aert | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 3 | Maximilian Schachmann | Movistar Team | s.t. | 4 | Rohan Dennis | Orica - Scott | s.t. | 5 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | JBL | + 3 | 6 | Stefan Bissegger | Movistar Team | + 4 | 7 | Timo Roosen | Team Sunweb | + 7 | 8 | Aurélien Costeplane | Total | + 8 | 9 | Zeke Mostov | JBL | s.t. | 10 | Abelardo GarcÃa Tebar | Bahrain - Merida | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 16 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 12 |
I'm 16th in GC. Another flat stage. This time with a little amount of cobbled kms. An Italian Pacinotti was the one who gave me the best possible position. And it ended very well! But Manzin was seriously the fastest today. 4th, but the fastest! He was so crazy at the sprint! Stage 3:
1 | Stan Dewulf | Lotto - Soudal | 3h51'13 | 2 | Bryan Coquard | Picard | s.t. | 3 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 4 | Lorenzo Manzin | Total | s.t. | 5 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. | 6 | Kristoffer Halvorsen | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 7 | John Degenkolb | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 8 | Karl Patrick Lauk | Certipost | s.t. | 9 | Jérémy Lecroq | FDJ | s.t. | 10 | David Per | Bahrain - Merida | s.t. |
Flat stage for sprinters with a little amount of cobbled kms, again! The breakaway won this stage, but I was again 5th from the peloton. Stage 4:
1 | Maurits Lammertink | Team Sunweb | 3h14'15 | 2 | Frederik Frison | Israel Cycling Academy | s.t. | 3 | Pieter Serry | Certipost | s.t. | 4 | Ludovic Robeet | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 5 | Clément Champoussin | Liberty Seguros | s.t. | 6 | Ivan Garcia Cortina | Orica - Scott | s.t. | 7 | Gianni Moscon | Team Sky | s.t. | 8 | Bryan Coquard | Picard | + 53 | 9 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 10 | Stan Dewulf | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 11 | Boris Vallée | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 12 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. | 13 | Karl Patrick Lauk | Certipost | s.t. | 14 | Kristoffer Halvorsen | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 15 | Jasper Stuyven | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. |
A bit harder stage, but we know what might happen... Another breakaway win. Stage 5:
1 | Julien Duval | FDJ | 3h44'01 | 2 | Zeke Mostov | JBL | s.t. | 3 | Toms Skujins | Picard | s.t. | 4 | Thomas Degand | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 5 | Ruben Pols | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 6 | Koen Bouwman | TEAM Philips | s.t. | 7 | Esteve Freire | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 8 | Tiesj Benoot | Lotto - Soudal | + 2'32 | 9 | Lorenzo Manzin | Total | s.t. | 10 | Stan Dewulf | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 24 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. |
Now the two most important stages. I'm far in GC because of some golden kms and breakaway's wins. But I was to exhausted to do anything in the final kms. And I lost some time. Stage 6:
1 | Julien Duval | FDJ | 4h53'32 | 2 | Ruben Pols | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 3 | Lorenzo Manzin | Total | s.t. | 4 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 5 | John Degenkolb | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 6 | Bryan Coquard | Picard | s.t. | 7 | Toms Skujins | Picard | s.t. | 8 | Felix Becker | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 9 | Sergey Chernetskiy | Liberty Seguros | s.t. | 10 | Oliver Naesen | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 43 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 1'42 |
Knowing what happened on previous stage I think I'll not have enough energy for the final kms... And I was right. Stage 7:
1 | Tiesj Benoot | Lotto - Soudal | 4h12'52 | 2 | Mike Teunissen | TEAM Philips | s.t. | 3 | Felix Becker | Quick-Step Floors | + 1'56 | 4 | Julien Duval | FDJ | s.t. | 5 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 6 | John Degenkolb | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 7 | Sonny Colbrelli | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 8 | Oliver Naesen | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 9 | Jasper Stuyven | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 10 | Luke Rowe | Team Sky | s.t. | ... | ... | ... | ... | 27 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | s.t. |
Final General Classification:
1 | Julien Duval | FDJ | 23h37'48 | 2 | Toms Skujins | Picard | + 1'40 | 3 | Tiesj Benoot | Lotto - Soudal | + 2'40 | 4 | Mike Teunissen | TEAM Philips | + 2'42 | 5 | David Per | Bahrain - Merida | + 2'53 | 6 | Ruben Pols | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | + 2'54 | 7 | Bryan Coquard | Picard | + 3'02 | 8 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | + 3'05 | 9 | Oliver Naesen | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | + 3'08 | 10 | Gianni Moscon | Team Sky | + 3'58 | 11 | Ivan Garcia Cortina | Orica - Scott | + 4'06 | 12 | Wout Van Aert | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | + 4'28 | 13 | Lorenzo Manzin | Total | + 4'33 | 14 | Sergey Chernetskiy | Liberty Seguros | + 4'35 | 15 | Dylan Van Baarle | Movistar Team | + 4'37 | 16 | Timo Roosen | Team Sunweb | + 4'44 | 17 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team Sky | + 4'49 | 18 | Piet Allegaert | Orica - Scott | + 4'50 | 19 | Florian Sénéchal | Team Sunweb | + 4'51 | 20 | Greg Van Avermaet | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. |
Somehow on the last stage I was classified as last rider in the leaders group. That means I won youth classification. It's still something, right? It wasn't bad race, but because of tiredness after Tour de France it wasn't my best race. See you in Hamburg! |

10k views. That's a lot! Thanks all for (at least) viewing it . I don't see a lot of comments, but looking at the views I can tell that at least you are viewing it! Thanks again!
Now we start a campaign of one day classics until Tour of Turkey. And hopefully with a World Championship Road Race too! Maybe with an ITT?
Today I was working really hard at the front of the peloton to help our main sprinter for today: G. Broughton. I was also scheduled to help him in the sprint with the best possible position. But the breakaway was better today. We were doing our best but we failed. I gave Broughton the best possible position for final sprint as he finished first from the peloton, but... Breakaway win is breakaway win.

Now another "flat" classic. This time in France. Broughton is again our leader for final sprint but this time race is more difficult. It might end with a grouped finish.
First of all, I was working really hard in the first half of the race. Second of all at the 10 kms mark I didn't saw Broughton anywhere near the front of the peloton. I decided to attack at about 5-6 kms left on the last steep climb. Well... It ended much better than I expected! Also, I think there should be a little gap between me and another rider in the results.

Thanks! Welcome to the forum mate!
Yeah, I can still find some fuel in my tank
Now classic in Bruxelles! Broughton is again one of the favourites so my job was the same as in previous two classics: working hard at the front and trying to help in the final sprint. Glenn was 2nd today which is really good result for him and the team.
