I hope Gilbert and Benoot crash out of contention for this disgrace of a strategy.
Why?

Huge crash took out two thirds of the peloton, and QS and Lotto immediately put down the hammer with 10 guys total right after, despite no cobbles or climbs in the next 30km and the break being well within early reach.
That conveniently put Vanmarcke, Degenkolb, Demare, Naesen, all of Astana etc. out of contention before the race even started.

Sagan vs. Quicksteps.
Surprisingly Benoot, GVA and Stybar couldn't follow.
But it's a long way to the finish! |

And Gilbert being the perfect team mate. Even if I can't approve of the Quick Step tactics, there's some good racing going on now!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Same question as every season: Why do they even classify the Paterberg as a cobbled climb anymore?

So many strong riders chasing, and they're not gaining any time at all. I think this is in the bag for Terpstra.

Gilbert only on GVA wheel. Terpstra has it

Woo, one of the least likable people in the peloton wins. Not sure what BMC was doing in those final KMs, seeing how much Roelandts had left for his attacks

Agreed all round...Kung gave it all yet they never really used Roelandts in the chase.
Had Terpstra down to 15s with 4km to go and could've brought it back one way or another
