Great race from Andersson as well. Starting to get worried about the relay now... Congrats on the gold
Thanks.
Yeah, really good first Olympic race from here
Naeh, Norway will fix the relay IMO they cant mess it up two Olympic in a row
But Weng, Östberg and Haga struggled today, was surprising to see that it was Sweden who had 3 girls in top 10.
It´s the only medalcompetition so far? So Sweden first in the medal league |

I remember Kalla and Bjoergen from the last olympics, so I'm happy for both of them. Pretty fun event to watch. |

Well congrats Norway.
What a race by Krueger last out form the stadium but first over the finish line, nice to see an attack some kms out giving the win and not only a sprint in the meters. And awesome teamperformance by Norway with all podium places and non of them was Klaebo...Looking good for them now, |

WOW!!!
Gold in Biathlon 15 kms Indivdual by 22 years old Hanna Öberg!!
Would never bet that for some hours ago, todays gold chance would have been Charlotte Kalla in 10 km F but their Ragnhild Haga dominated but Kalla could take the silver!
Good day for Sweden so far. |

What the hell happened today at Super-G women race? Biggest czech winter sports talent and snowboarding star Ledecká absolutely stunning the world and herself with one of the biggest shocks in Olympics history and instant legendary reaction "dafaq" style .
If she wins the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding now (she won 10 of last 12 WC races), it will never be forgotten, as combination of two different disciplines in modern sport is madness, even on above average level.
Chapeau Ester, what a feat!!

I saw the headline pop-up "Ledecka Wins Gold" and was very confused because i knew there wasn't snowboarding today. Then turns out she won the Super G on skiis...
Just adding this to a long list of surprises and shocks from these games. Been hugely enjoyable so far.
Was glued to the Womens Skeleton earlier, obviously being British. The sliding events have been excellent, the track in Korea is brilliantly designed for exciting viewing.

Sure, the biggest Czech sport story in our history is always going to be ice hockey wins in 1969 against Soviet Union all together with legendary win in Nagano. But Ledecky's amazing and surprising win surely has to be a strong contender for these the most legendary moments. Whole country in a complete disbelief about what happened. Absolutely stunning performance from her. I really hope she can also win the parallel giant slalom as well. Would be immediately one of the most legendary moments in the history of sport!

Yeah that was amazing. The look on her face after the camera kept following her was priceless.
Like "wtf did i just do?" .. she just could not believe it.
Also liked Esmee Vissers win in the 5000m speed skating. It was the first time she actually competed against an international top field on that distance... And Sablikova, while not top fit, had won all world championships and olympic titles for the past 11 years on the 5000m.. Amazing |

Oh yeah, Vissers' win was also really impressive. She would beat Sablikova even in Sochi and Vancouver with that time. Even though every track is different, it surely looks like you have a great star successor of Ireen Wüst! Also an incredible dominance once again in all speed skating events. Just need some medals from other sports now!

The Russian system is massively out of control and we should all panic. If they are doping curling i dread to think what might happen in snooker, darts or golf!
But it's a massive bloody nose to the IOC and the OAR and Russian sport in general. Under all the spotlight in the world to show they are not cheaters and this happens... and after CAS agreed some bans where unfair and not based on enough evidence. A major failing at every single level.

I just find it amusing that Russia aren't even officially at the Olympics yet still manage to lead the failed drugs test table.
And yes, the major question is why would a curler need to take drugs?

I've heard that there is a lot of bed activities going on in the olympic village, maybe he felt the need to perform there, so he could compare to the real athlets at least at that level.

I don't agree with the Russians being referred to as "Olympic Athletes from Russia". There should be no mention of Russia in the name. They should be Individual Athletes or "Athlete's from Banned Country". Also, why are they counted on the medal table? They should not have a place on the medal table. They should not exist as a group of athletes because basically they are just still Russia under a different name.

So your logic is to ban all Russian athletes regardless if they're clean or not? If the IOC didn't allow the clean athletes to even participate under neutral flag, the whole Pyeongchang Olympics would have been considered a failiure ala LA 84 and IOC would've been declared as an inept organisation (not that they're not anyway).
OAR exist in the medal table just like the Unified Team in Albertville '92 or any other Independent Athlete group.

That's a bit of a jump to make.
Ringo is saying that OAR shouldn't have Russia, because Russia is banned. It should be Olympic Athletes Independent or something. They still deserve to compete (well, that's arguable given the "clean" athletes just failed a test) but it doesn't feel like a difference given Russia is still everywhere in name, if not flag.
