Brady is the MVP, they have never given the award to the player who truely deserves it. They look at team record and stats. If the Steelers take down the Patriots, Brown will be the first WR MVP ever(?).
Im a die hard Patriots fan, and Brady has been amazing. His age and all considered.

The payoff picture really changes week to week, and with some of these late season injuries (Wentz, Brown especially) it's really shaken up...
Excited for the playoffs, i'm expecting some real upsets (even though i doubt Seattle will make it....)

Lions also on the outside looking in but have two winnable games @ Bengals and home against the Packers.
For them to get in, win out and:
Falcons need to lose 2 out of 3 (possible with games against Panthers and Saints). Then, Cowboys v. Seahawks next week is huge. Whoever wins that needs to lose Week 17: Cowboys @ Eagles / Cardinals @ Seahawks. So, realistic would like the Cowboys to win next week.
And that's not getting into all the possible tiebreaker scenarios, of which the Lions really only benefit if a certain combination of three teams finish tied at 10-6.
So, what I'm trying to say, Lions certainly aren't out of it just yet. Sure a lot needs to go right in their favor, but it's not crazy to believe that it just might. It's not like they need the Browns to win them a game.
Although, I'll be heavily cheering for the Bucs tonight...

The Dolphins are also still in the hunt but only about 3% chance right now. They are the last team in the AFC with a mathematical chance.

Dolphins have done better than i expected without Tannerhill and losing Ajayi mid-way in the season.
Also, are you taking Diddy's declaration seriously? To buy the Panthers and sign Kapernick?

Kenyan Drake is doing just about what Ajayi did last year except Drake gets more involved in the passing game. Not saying he is better, but saying he has the same potential Ajayi does and Miami has a history for making no name RB's solid starters.
The more this season unfolds the more it looks like we will break down and pay Tannehill 17M next year to stay and start at QB unless we somehow manage to weasel Drew Brees from the Saints (He has publicly stated he wants to play for Miami). The team is just too inconsistent right now.

No, but I also saw that Colin K also wants to have some buying power in the team as well.
What I am taking seriously is Vince McMahon reviving the XFL as the UFL in 2018 as the NFL backlash would certainly give another "league/promotion" ratings to finally compete with the NFL, even though this would be a summer league and not necessarily be competing. Football year round is good for everyone

Seriously though... how bad is the AFC when the Titans can get to the second round of the playoffs... (not gonna lie, that Mariota TD was insane!)
Atlanta beating the Rams i can understand. The Falcons have better players and they performed. But the Rams can be very happy! It's been an amazing season under McVay. He's only going to improve as a Coach, especially as he learns more about Defence. Goff is improving, makes me think a lot about someone like Alex Smith or Carson Palmer. Very reliable passer but not exceptional. And Gurley, wow! Keep him fit and healthy and that's a Superbowl winning player. Keep the Defence as aggressive as well. Very good team, very likeable.

AFC is a juggernut. The Titans got a nice roster and their 4 qtr running game is off the charts. The fact that KC lost is just a summary of their season. Loosing Kelce early really screwed them over. And the fact that they were unable to put the Titans away was amazing.
The Rams game was wierd aswell. The amount of turnovers on special teams ruined the game for the Rams. I strongly belive that if Cooper played better, they would have won. Their time of possesion would be way up and Gurley's impact would have been bigger.
Still tired after watching both games
Tonight it's time to find out if my Patriots will face either Titans or Bills.

Patriots are a juggernaught, Steelers have 3 MVP quality stars, everyone else is questionable.
The NFC is the stronger conference, but the AFC team will still win the Superbowl because those top 2 teams are the best in the league.

The Dolphins go like every year you should have went and watch them! But glad that you are hopefully going to get to see Seattle play even if the Legion of Boom is transitioning into "Doom".

I'm going to be hitting my F5 key so many times when tickets go on sale.... Watching Seahawks live has been on my bucket list for years, and being able to actually do that without having to travel to Seattle will be amazing

OMG, WHAT DID I JUST WATCH!
Steelers losing earlier was sad, but it was a sidenote for what occurred later on. HOW DID MINNESOTA WIN THAT?
I was confident Brees had done it after the field goal, but no....
MARCUS WILLIAMS
That was the most hilarious play or attempted play I've ever seen. Great play by Diggs at first, but if he had just kept composure and not dived for oxygen, but the player the Saints would have won as they had like 3 seconds left after he caught it and no time-outs. I was stunned for 5 minutes and then I continually saw the replay and just laughed at the play and the spectacle.
Massive respect for Brees and Keenum who played really well and also to Thielen for that unbelievable catch to keep that game alive.
What a game! |
