Young getting in shape to become the first Samoan Roubaix winner...
Race was not ideal for us with Vanderbiest dropping, but it was to be expected, and at least all of our riders managed to finish, which is something positive.

Alright, Vanbilsen! Excellent race for his best result of the season. Fourth place behind the big 3 is great. He really likes a tough race rather then the borich group sprints we had so far. More might have even been possible if he had been in a better wheel, but beating Bewley was never going to happen, grats for yet another win!
Shoutout to Stijn Joseph as well, 14th in a PTHC race is great, I'll have to keep him another season now, despite him pulling my average age up so much.
And a big thanks to Abhi for the report, they're getting even better!
Well Vanbilsen proved me wrong

He has been underperforming until today, so I can't blame you
Unfortunately I only see Lincoln and Kigali remaining on his calendar, so it's likely he'll have no classics win this season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Ok, so not quite best of the PCT but still in the Top5 as i wanted. No complaints here. A hard and fast race showed who the strongmen where and that Marcus, even at 34, can still take on the best of the best. G recovered well to 11th place having slipped backwards quite some distance out, if he'd hung on longer a double Top10 would have been amazing. And again a good late race for Hristov coming from even further back to inside the Top25. We do like the cobbles at Podium Ambition!

Shame Veelers hit the ground. This race suits him relatively well.

Hmm, this is getting somehow boring, really.
Just kidding, what a perfect race for my team, a win for my superstar and decent results for my domestiques, can't really get any better. It is fascinating how Bewley is able to control the race almost every time in the final moments.
Another 2nd place for GVA, one have to wonder how many of these 2nd places he already has! Summerhill also continues his strong cobble campaign and especially a nice result for Lierse and Vanbilsen and a strong overall race for Podium Ambition and Aker, congrats guys! Not a bad one for Grieg and Vesuvio either, will be fun to see maxed out Kuroedas one day. On the other way, quite a disaster race for Jayco...
Thank you for nice congrats, I also thank Abhishek for another nice report.

Said it before, saying it again: I'm happy about finishing 2nd behind Bewley. Even if i would prefer to finally beat him at some point. Ah well Roubaix then

I'm the guy to reply to rhetorical questions
- Of my last 10 PT cobbled classics I finished 9 as second and once as fourth ( 9 GVA races, 1x Boonen in Roubaix)
- Bewley raced in 9 of them. He finished all 9 of them one place ahead of my leader.
Congrats for yet another victory!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Not to copy my reply on Vlaanderen just congrants to the entire podium.
Also a huge race from Kenneth Vanbilsen, holding of both better coblers sprinters and punchers, the durability may have been the factor. Congrates to Ollfardh.
Great report AbhishekLFC, thanks

The nearest we have got so far to Bewley but the man is really a machine it's just impossible to beat him he's both the strongest and the fastest Incredible! |
