Just this once, and this is very rare from me supporting the English fans, maybe they are right in having a go at Welsh football because of the way the latter team celebrated Iceland beating the former at the Euros last year (viral video is available, in case proof is required). Karma, as they say...
Come on, everybody (besides the England Fans) loved to see Iceland winning!

Yes they did. So did I . But if u get in someone's face while they're down, you can't exactly blame them for giving it back to you when the roles are reversed!
Btw, the U17 World Cup is happening here! Yeah I know right . England's group matches are in my city. They look like a formidable team. Sancho, McEachren, Angel Gomes, Brewster! Too bad they'll all become media superstars before actually becoming superstars and then we'll have more primadonnas and no greats

We're going to have to play one of 5 teams for our playoff, all from South America, all have one game today to seal their spots. All of whom will kick our asses
I wish Wales had qualified (especially so Woodburn could kick some ass next year ) but Ireland isn't a bad team at their expense. But more than that amazing to see Iceland qualify

It was never my intention to start a row with my post, i was just disappointed with the failure of my Country to reach the World Cup. I understand that some people may be happy with our loss but that is the way the cookie crumbles, you have to take the rough with the smooth and move on. |

Soccer is by far dead in the USA after tonight. Disliked the sport as it is but America lost many many fans tonight and I am one of them. Here's to the ladies in 2019!

It really did...hopefully this will shake up the organization that seems completely lost.
The USA is simple, we are not a fan base of soccer purists, it isn't our favorite sport (heck it is probably just in the top 5). The US fan mentality is different from many other places, especially Europe. US fans don't care about playing "the beautiful game" the US is simple, win, win ugly, win by playing 11 behind the ball and counter, whatever, just win.
The current coaching (like the previous) wants to be that purist playing the beautiful game, without the talent to do so. Pulisic is probably the only player on the US side that can play that style, of dominant possession with quick decisive passes that can carve an organized defense. Sure the US has more talent than TnT it doesn't mean we can play a style that doesn't fit.
To draw it into cycling, Sky is more talented than basically any other team in Grand Tours, but if they chose to ride instead for sprint stages, bringing better flat specialists, the chances for Froome to win would be greatly diminished. That is basically what the US coaching does to the team. Playing a style they cannot support, the defense of the US is sluggish, and cannot keep pace with essentially any of the Central American strikers, leaving the team in horrible situations time and time again.
It is time for an administration that wants to win, and wants that more than trying to make it look like the US is the best, most talented team in Concacaf able of playing the same style as the European powers.

It is more than laughable seeing the current position of the Australian Soccer Team. |

Might be Honduras, CONCACAF, not CONMEBOL opponents I think.

No it is Peru. So maybe in with a shot if we're in our "only just lost to USA and Mexico hype train ahead" form and not our "drawing with New Caledonia the All Whites will never be good again" form

There's no row. Just banter.
As I think has been mentioned, the Welsh particularly took delight in England's defeat to Iceland last year. It's simply a case of the shoe being on the other foot now.
Wales were unlucky that they lost Bale. But at the same time they have one of the best 3 players in the World and still failed to qualify which shows how poor the rest of the team really is, European Semi Final and all. You'll be fine for the next Euro's (assuming Bale stays fit), as will Scotland probably.
For now though you and Scotland can sit back and support England next summer
Or go back to your usual summer pursuit of supporting whoever England are playing

So happy with Leo's first inspirational performance for Argentina in the qualification phase into the world cup and luckily it was in the most important game. |

Too much of a coincidence that the same year Trump becomes president, the USA fail to qualify for the World Cup.
Congratulations to Panama, always nice to see new nations lands a spot in an International competition. |

Honduras vs Australia in one of the play offs should be a good game. I think each team will be tough to beat at home but I think the Aussies will be able to pull through.
Peru vs New Zealand should also be a good game. As a Kiwi, Peru is a better opponent to face than the likes of Argentina, Colombia or Chile but this doesn't mean it'll be easy. Peru are a quality side and in there for a reason so I'm expecting a tough battle!
