@sutty68, Thanks! I believe you won't be disappointed this year
I will stop saying that I was riding in a breakaway. It's happening almost in every race now. But the most important from stage 1 is that I won two mountain sprints so I was wearing mountain leader jersey for next stage.
1 | Logan Owen | Axeon - Hagens Berman | 4h37'36 | 2 | Alexander Krieger | Leopard Pro Cycling | s.t. | 3 | David Menut | HP BTP - Auber 93 | s.t. | 4 | David Van Der Poel | BHS - Almeborg Bornholm | s.t. | 5 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 6 | Gustav Höög | Team Coop | s.t. | 7 | Yukiya Arashiro | Madison - Genesis | s.t. | 8 | Florian Maître | HP BTP - Auber 93 | s.t. | 9 | Kevin Le Cunff | HP BTP - Auber 93 | s.t. | 10 | Jelle Mannaerts | Tarteletto - Isorex | s.t. | 21 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
Why I was not riding for this jersey in previous races? I don't know. I think that I completely destroyed this competition today.
1 | Yukiya Arashiro | Madison - Genesis | 4h12'18 | 2 | Ángel Madrazo | Delko - Marseille Provence | s.t. | 3 | Carl Fredrik Hagen | Team Coop | s.t. | 4 | Edward Dunbar | Axeon - Hagens Berman | s.t. | 5 | Björn Thurau | Rally Cycling | s.t. | 6 | David Menut | HP BTP - Auber 93 | s.t. | 7 | Julen Amezqueta | Roth - Akros | s.t. | 8 | Alexander Krieger | Leopard Pro Cycling | s.t. | 9 | Edward Beltran | Team VéloConcept | s.t. | 10 | Andreas Hofer | Team Vorarlberg | s.t. | 45 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |

Stage 3:
1 | Leopard Pro Cycling | 26'52 | 2 | Axeon - Hagens Berman | + 15 | 3 | Delko - Marseille Provence | + 17 | 4 | Rally Cycling | s.t. | 5 | Team Vorarlberg | + 24 | 6 | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 7 | Tarteletto - Isorex | + 35 | 8 | SEG Racing Academy | s.t. | 9 | Team Coop | + 45 | 10 | Team Lotto - Kern Haus | s.t. | 14 | Team FixIT.no | + 1'14 |
Last stage and only 3 KotM finishes. I took it easy for a mass sprint. I've never been on such a good form like today.
And it proved on the finish!

Great race for me and my team. I think I'm slowly getting ready for a Pro Continental team. |

Flat race with some cobble sections. So... 8 riders in a breakaway. One of them from our team. I was saving my energy for last kms... But I freaking crashed just 10kms from the finish! Ugh... At least Overland finished second.
1 | Ivo Oliveira | Axeon - Hagens Berman | 4h26'12 | 2 | Bjornar Overland | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 3 | Antwan Tolhoek | Team Lotto NL - Jumbo | s.t. | 4 | Romain Sicard | Total | s.t. | 5 | Léo Vincent | FDJ | s.t. | 6 | Jordan Levasseur | Equipe Cycliste Armée de Terre | s.t. | 7 | Clément Saint-Martin | Delko - Marseille Provence | s.t. | 8 | Connor Swift | Madison - Genesis | s.t. | 9 | Michael Morkov | Aqua Blue Sport | + 2'48 | 10 | Tosh Van Der Sande | Wanty - Groupe Gobert | s.t. | 65 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
I was a part of sprint train today. F. Roinas was our outsider for today classic. I did my job pretty well as our leader was 5th.
1 | Juan Sebastian Molano | Manzana - Postobón Team | 3h45'55 | 2 | Steele Von Hoff | ONE Pro Cycling | s.t. | 3 | Nicolai Brochner | Riwal - Platform Cycling Team | s.t. | 4 | Yevgeniy Gidich | Vino - Astana Motors | s.t. | 5 | Fridtjof Roinas | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 6 | Albert Torres | Kuwait - Cartucho.es | s.t. | 7 | Andreas Jeppesen | Team VéloConcept | s.t. | 8 | Luciano Barcala | Team Ukyo | s.t. | 9 | Rune Almindso | ColoQuick - CULT | s.t. | 10 | August Jensen | Team Coop | s.t. | 25 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
Another classic for Roinas. Again an outsider. And again my job was to create a sprint train. But, first of all, we didn't caught a breakaway and Roinas wasn't on my wheel when it was time for sprint.
1 | Ronald Yeung | ColoQuick - CULT | 3h58'41 | 2 | Davide Baldaccini | Team Sparebanken Sor | s.t. | 3 | Jérémy Bescond | HP BTP - Auber 93 | s.t. | 4 | Wojciech Sykala | Wibatech - 7R Fuji | s.t. | 5 | Rasmus Quaade | Team Giant - Castelli | s.t. | 6 | Pontus Kastemyr | Team Tre Berg - PostNord | s.t. | 7 | Tobias Kongstad | Riwal - Platform Cycling Team | s.t. | 8 | Lars Van Den Berg | Metec - TKH p/b Mantel | s.t. | 9 | Jimmy Raibaud | Equipe Cycliste Armée de Terre | + 1'23 | 10 | Benjamin Thomas | Equipe Cycliste Armée de Terre | s.t. | 14 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
Last classic and maybe a chance for me at the final sprint. Overland and 8 other riders in a breakaway. I think in the future I will join every breakaway in flat classic as no one want to chase them...
1 | Daniel Westmattelmann | Tirol Cycling Team | 4h09'22 | 2 | Ronan Van Zandbeek | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | s.t. | 3 | Alexander Wetterhall | Team Tre Berg - PostNord | s.t. | 4 | Jesper Schultz | Team Giant - Castelli | s.t. | 5 | Kasper Würtz Schmidt | Riwal - Platform Cycling Team | s.t. | 6 | Sieben Wouters | Pauwels - Vastgoedservice | s.t. | 7 | Jesper Andreasen | BHS - Almeborg Bornholm | s.t. | 8 | Mathias Skjold | Team Sparebanken Sor | s.t. | 9 | Bjornar Overland | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 10 | Julius Johansen | Team VéloConcept | s.t. | 63 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |

Again Roinas is our leader for good place. This time three cobble sections. 3 riders in a breakaway. They had maximum +5'30". We caught them just 10kms from the finish. My role was to set up a sprint train. Roinas did his job pretty well as he was 5th. 11th place from me is also pretty decent.
1 | Sjoerd Van Ginneken | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | 4h20'26 | 2 | Fabio Jakobsen | SEG Racing Academy | s.t. | 3 | Coen Vermeltfoort | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | s.t. | 4 | Timo Roosen | Team Lotto NL - Jumbo | s.t. | 5 | Fridtjof Roinas | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 6 | Lars Van Der Haar | Telenet - Fidea Lions | s.t. | 7 | Nick Van Der Lijke | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | s.t. | 8 | Elmar Reinders | Monkey Town Continental Team | s.t. | 9 | Quinten Hermans | Telenet - Fidea Lions | s.t. | 10 | Lars Boom | Team Lotto NL - Jumbo | s.t. | 11 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
Breakaway by me and 6 other riders. I decided to fight for KotM again. But I felt asleep and was last from our group at KotM. But somehow peloton didn't catch us. Second place is really good as I'm second in GC also.
1 | Szymon Tracz | Wibatech - 7R Fuji | 2h57'33 | 2 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 3 | Diego Milán | Synergy Baku Cycling Project | s.t. | 4 | Piergiorgio Cardarilli | GM - Europa Ovini | s.t. | 5 | Jelle Nieuwpoort | Metec - TKH p/b Mantel | s.t. | 6 | Marcel Neuhauser | Team Felbermayr - Simplon | s.t. | 7 | Eros Castorino | Rietumu Banka - Riga | s.t. | 8 | Jason Lowndes | Israel Cycling Academy | + 48 | 9 | Daniel Auer | Team Felbermayr - Simplon | s.t. | 10 | Alan Banaszek | CCC Sprandi Polkowice | s.t. |
Those really short flat stages are stupid. Seriously. Breakaway have 3 minutes and they are never going to get caught. Never!
1 | Jim Lindenburg | Metec - TKH p/b Mantel | 1h57'44 | 2 | Alessandro Bazzana | Rádio Popular - Boavista | s.t. | 3 | Jens Dekker | Beobank - Corendon | s.t. | 4 | Markus Eibegger | Team Felbermayr - Simplon | s.t. | 5 | Troels Vinther | Riwal - Platform Cycling Team | s.t. | 6 | Moritz Fussnegger | Team Lotto - Kern Haus | s.t. | 7 | Patryk Gorecki | Synergy Baku Cycling Project | s.t. | 8 | Alan Banaszek | CCC Sprandi Polkowice | + 2'06 | 9 | Andreas Stokbro | Riwal - Platform Cycling Team | s.t. | 10 | Maris Bogdanovics | Rietumu Banka - Riga | s.t. | 12 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
Another decent stage. Overland created a train for me and I finished 5th. Nice! Somehow after this stage I was "points classification" leader.

1.1 Boucles de l'Aulne - Chateaulin 28/05
A lot of great teams like Movistar, Astana, FDJ, AG2R & Cofidis. Great training for me as it's a hilly classic. And Paris-Roubaix U23 is just few days after it. I decided to go for a breakaway. It's a great idea to show yourself to World Tour teams. Four riders had maximum +5'30 and I got caught just 7 kms from the finish. I didn't have any more power to go for it.
1 | Kasper Asgreen | Team VéloConcept | 4h29'54 | 2 | Guillaume Van Keirsbulck | Wanty - Groupe Gobert | + 23 | 3 | Alessandro Mazzi | Androni Giocattoli - Sidermec | s.t. | 4 | Ramunas Navardauskas | Bahrain - Merida | + 52 | 5 | Nicolas Edet | Cofidis, Solutions Crédits | s.t. | 6 | Silvan Dillier | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 7 | Michael Albasini | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 8 | Ivan Sosa | Androni Giocattoli - Sidermec | s.t. | 9 | Michael Schär | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 10 | Dimitri Claeys | Cofidis, Solutions Crédits | s.t. | 40 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
1.2U23 Paris - Roubaix Espoirs 31/05
Again main favourite. I believe it's my second and last start here and I want to prove everything right now!
50 kms to go - 21 riders in main group. No breakaway. Alone from my team.
30 kms to go - 42 riders in main group. Everyone is watching me. I know I'm the biggest favourite but c'mon... It's like Sagan syndrome.
25 kms to go - Go Jonas, Go! I can do it! I have to use my ability on riding on the cobbles!
15 kms to go - I'm alone! Can I do it? Can I win Paris - Roubaix U23?
Finish - Yes!!! Yes! Freaking yes! I'm speechless!
Results:
Now Giro U23. I will take that easy. Probably. Also, as I won my first race I decided I will ride Arctic Race of Norway later this season! |

@sutty68; Indeed. I don't think I'll start in GT anytime soon.
This time two stage races. In Poland, second in Portugal. Then it should be Tour Alsace in France. But I decided to not ride that race because of my tiredness. Also my first HC race is incoming really fast so it's better to take the rest for some days. Now, teams that were interested in signing me for next season.
To be honest at the start I was thinking about World Tour Team, but I decided to sign a deal with decent Pro Continental Team for next two years. What team? You will see at the start of another season!
I need to better prepare my calendar. I was very tired in this race so no good results. I decided to not take part in Tour Alsace because of my tiredness.

sutty68 & Croatia14: Thanks! It really motivates me!
Like I said in the previous post, my goal is KotM jersey. And looking at the profiles, final win might not be very hard. On stage 1 I won 3 out of 4 KotM sprints, but on last one I didn't have enough power so I stayed after breakaway and got caught by the peloton. So, KotM jersey is mine.
1 | Sjoerd Van Ginneken | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | 4h07'20 | 2 | Tim De Troyer | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 3 | Jonas Van Genechten | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 4 | Robby Cobbaert | Cibel - Cebon | s.t. | 5 | Marlen Zmorka | Kolss Cycling Team | s.t. | 6 | Giuseppe Fonzi | Wilier Triestina - Selle Italia | s.t. | 7 | Kristoffer Halvorsen | Joker - Icopal | s.t. | 8 | Ruslan Tleubayev | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 9 | Petter Theodorsen | Team Sparebanken Sor | s.t. | 10 | André Looij | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | s.t. | 71 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |

Stage 2 and three more KotM sprints. But somehow I caught illness yesterday. We got caught 30kms from the finish. Roinas was 2nd.
1 | Ruslan Tleubayev | Astana Pro Team | 4h04'26 | 2 | Fridtjof Roinas | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 3 | Jonas Van Genechten | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 4 | Sjoerd Van Ginneken | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | s.t. | 5 | Tosh Van Der Sande | Wanty - Groupe Gobert | s.t. | 6 | Daniel Oss | Wilier Triestina - Selle Italia | s.t. | 7 | Andrea Pasqualon | Radio Deejay | s.t. | 8 | Oscar Riesebeek | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | s.t. | 9 | Primož Roglič | Team Lotto NL - Jumbo | s.t. | 10 | Simone Petilli | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 95 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | + 5'31 |

Next stage was with mountain finish. I took that easy.
1 | Primož Roglič | Team Lotto NL - Jumbo | 4h33'45 | 2 | Sérgio Luis Henao | Lotto - Soudal | + 10 | 3 | Simone Petilli | Astana Pro Team | + 27 | 4 | Miguel Angel Lopez | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 5 | Bert-Jan Lindeman | Team Lotto NL - Jumbo | s.t. | 6 | Jan Bakelants | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 7 | Fabien Doubey | Wanty - Groupe Gobert | + 37 | 8 | Anatoliy Budyak | Kolss Cycling Team | s.t. | 9 | Sean De Bie | Lotto - Soudal | s.t. | 10 | Mirco Maestri | Radio Deejay | + 1'02 | 108 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | + 17'04 |
Last stage and last 2 KotM finishes. Now I have an angina. It's getting serious... At least I won my KotM jersey. That means that I can ride World Tour races next season!
1 | Mark McNally | Wanty - Groupe Gobert | 4h02'01 | 2 | Krister Hagen | Team Coop | s.t. | 3 | Vasyl Malynivskyi | Kolss Cycling Team | s.t. | 4 | Jeroen Meijers | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | s.t. | 5 | Alex Turrin | Wilier Triestina - Selle Italia | s.t. | 6 | Preben Van Hecke | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 7 | Mauro Santambrogio | Radio Deejay | s.t. | 8 | Maxim Iglinskiy | Cibel - Cebon | s.t. | 9 | André Looij | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | + 1'29 | 10 | Fridtjof Roinas | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 30 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
General Classification:

Mountain Classification:
1 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | 0 | 26 | 2 | Primož Roglič | Team Lotto NL - Jumbo | 0 | 16 | 3 | Sérgio Luis Henao | Lotto - Soudal | 0 | 12 | 4 | Simone Petilli | Astana Pro Team | 0 | 10 | 5 | Mark McNally | Wanty - Groupe Gobert | 10 | 10 |

sutty68, Indeed! But it's a bit lame to be honest that there is no Norwegian Championship :/
All stages categorized as flat. Last one including Cauberg, twice! Also, I was the only rider from my team to take part in this race, great! I can do anything I want.
Stage 1:
1 | Pascal Eenkhoorn | BMC Development Team | 6'01 | 2 | Cetin Çelik | BMC Development Team | + 3 | 3 | Jan Maas | SEG Racing Academy | + 6 | 4 | Clement Betouigt-Suire | Development Team Sunweb | s.t. | 5 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | + 7 | 6 | Bram Welten | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 7 | Martin Palm | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 8 | Rohan Wight | Mitchelton - Scott | + 8 | 9 | Kenny Molly | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 10 | Robert Stannard | Mitchelton - Scott | s.t. | 49 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | + 15 |
Stage flat as a table. On km 21 there was a massive fall within a peloton. 16 riders were involved. Also I was a part of that crash. Thankfully nothing bad happen.:
1 | Maik Van Der Heijden | Destil - Jo Piels Cycling Team | 3h07'54 | 2 | Sieben Wouters | Pauwels - Vastgoedservice | s.t. | 3 | Jelle Nieuwpoort | Metec - TKH p/b Mantel | s.t. | 4 | Gerco Pastoor | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | s.t. | 5 | Abe Celi | Ruralvia | s.t. | 6 | Fuwen Xue | Mitchelton - Scott | s.t. | 7 | Mel Van Der Veekens | Monkey Town Continental Team | s.t. | 8 | Abram Stockman | Tarteletto - Isorex | s.t. | 9 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | + 53 | 10 | Bram Welten | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 23 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
Another "almost" flat as a table stage. Good result by me:
1 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | 4h22'59 | 2 | Fabio Jakobsen | SEG Racing Academy | s.t. | 3 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 4 | John Mandrysch | Leopard Pro Cycling | s.t. | 5 | Tiago Da Silva | Team Differdange - Losch | s.t. | 6 | Niklas Märkl | Development Team Sunweb | s.t. | 7 | Bram Welten | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 8 | Gerben Thijssen | Pauwels - Vastgoedservice | s.t. | 9 | Cetin Çelik | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 10 | Jordi Van Loon | Destil - Jo Piels Cycling Team | s.t. |
Stage 4 and first KotM finish. But again flat as a table :
1 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | 3h28'44 | 2 | Fabio Jakobsen | SEG Racing Academy | s.t. | 3 | Niklas Märkl | Development Team Sunweb | s.t. | 4 | Gerben Thijssen | Pauwels - Vastgoedservice | s.t. | 5 | Stefan Kreder | Metec - TKH p/b Mantel | s.t. | 6 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 7 | Kenny Molly | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 8 | John Mandrysch | Leopard Pro Cycling | s.t. | 9 | Bram Welten | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 10 | Jordi Van Loon | Destil - Jo Piels Cycling Team | s.t. |
Stage 5:
1 | Luuk Lohuis | SEG Racing Academy | 2h17'36 | 2 | Tanguy Turgis | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 3 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 4 | Kenny Molly | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 5 | Leo Appelt | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 6 | Martin Palm | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 7 | Bram Welten | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 8 | Hartthijs De Vries | SEG Racing Academy | s.t. | 9 | Niklas Märkl | Development Team Sunweb | s.t. | 10 | Lucas Eriksson | SEG Racing Academy | s.t. | 20 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
An ITT:
1 | Joris Nieuwenhuis | Development Team Sunweb | 14'20 | 2 | Martin Palm | AGO - Aqua Service | + 1 | 3 | Gerco Pastoor | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | + 2 | 4 | Jelle Nieuwpoort | Metec - TKH p/b Mantel | + 7 | 5 | Jens Van Den Dool | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | + 8 | 6 | Manuel Todaro | Leopard Pro Cycling | + 10 | 7 | Adrian Singh | Mitchelton - Scott | + 11 | 8 | Leo Appelt | BMC Development Team | + 12 | 9 | Pascal Eenkhoorn | BMC Development Team | + 16 | 10 | Jim Lindenburg | Metec - TKH p/b Mantel | + 17 | 41 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | + 58 |
Stage 7 and Cauberg. A lot KotM finishes. And race not that flat as profile might suggest.:
1 | Fabio Jakobsen | SEG Racing Academy | 5h17'32 | 2 | Bram Welten | BMC Development Team | s.t. | 3 | Milan Veltman | Monkey Town Continental Team | s.t. | 4 | Gerco Pastoor | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | s.t. | 5 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 6 | Sieben Wouters | Pauwels - Vastgoedservice | s.t. | 7 | Jordi Talen | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | s.t. | 8 | Tiago Da Silva | Team Differdange - Losch | s.t. | 9 | Jarno Mobach | Development Team Sunweb | s.t. | 10 | Maik Van Der Heijden | Destil - Jo Piels Cycling Team | s.t. | 15 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
I was struggling to hold in main group. I didn't have any power to ride. But when I looked at the results I was in the first group, 2 minutes before another.
General Classification:
1 | Gerco Pastoor | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | 18h55'19 | 2 | Maik Van Der Heijden | Destil - Jo Piels Cycling Team | + 19 | 3 | Martin Palm | AGO - Aqua Service | + 48 | 4 | Milan Veltman | Monkey Town Continental Team | + 1'06 | 5 | Jan Maas | SEG Racing Academy | + 1'09 | 6 | Fabio Jakobsen | SEG Racing Academy | + 1'17 | 7 | Kenny Molly | AGO - Aqua Service | + 1'18 | 8 | Sieben Wouters | Pauwels - Vastgoedservice | + 1'27 | 9 | Bram Welten | BMC Development Team | + 1'34 | 10 | Jordi Talen | Delta Cycling Rotterdam | + 1'38 | 11 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | + 1'39 | 12 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | + 1'49 |
And now last two races of the season. |

Last two races. Both categorized as flat. Both in France.
Very strong field of sprinters. Our leader Roinas wasn't even rates via "*" with having 76/76 in both sprint and acceleration. My job was to set up a sprint train. And knowing how good other sprinters are, I decided to do what I can to give Roinas the best possible position for mass sprint.
1 | Kevin Le Cunff | HP BTP - Auber 93 | 4h05'27 | 2 | Rasmus Tiller | Joker - Icopal | s.t. | 3 | Thibault Ferasse | Equipe Cycliste Armée de Terre | s.t. | 4 | Stefan Bissegger | Vérandas Willems - Crelan | s.t. | 5 | Aime De Gendt | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | s.t. | 6 | Franck Bonnamour | Fortuneo - Oscaro | s.t. | 7 | Lander Seynaeve | Roubaix - Lille Métropole | s.t. | 8 | Fabien Doubey | Wanty - Groupe Gobert | s.t. | 9 | Lorenzo Manzin | FDJ | s.t. | 10 | Ramunas Navardauskas | Bahrain - Merida | s.t. | 68 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. |
And last race of this season. Also, I don't know how, but look at this:
Results are pretty nice:
1 | Grigoriy Shtein | Astana City | 3h54'49 | 2 | Michael Rice | Axeon - Hagens Berman | s.t. | 3 | Charlie Arimont | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 4 | Andreas Jeppesen | Team VéloConcept | s.t. | 5 | Jonas Duurhuus | Team FixIT.no | s.t. | 6 | Johann Bordes | Astana City | s.t. | 7 | Kenny Molly | AGO - Aqua Service | s.t. | 8 | Tiago Da Silva | Team Differdange - Losch | s.t. | 9 | Maxim Satlikov | Astana City | s.t. | 10 | Jordi Van Loon | Destil - Jo Piels Cycling Team | s.t. |
Next post is going to be about that season, my thoughts, results and some summary! |

sutty68, 5th place is a great way to end your first season now enjoy the off-season and come back stronger next year.
Apparently, it seems that you missed my first season as it was my second . Don't worry, just take a look on previous posts .
Summary of 2018: (Warning! Big photo, that's why in spoiler)
This season was much better than my first. A lot decent top 10 places in first half of season. Plus two stage wins. Both in France. Also a KotM jersey. Then amazing victory in Paris-Roubaix U23. After bad 11th place last year to great victory in this year. Second half started with some stage races. Not many acceptable results until winning overall mountain at Arctic Race of Norway. Thanks to that I can now fight in World Tour races. After race in Norway it was really nice Olympia Tour U23. Great 3rd place followed by 6th place and 12th overall. Season ended with nice 5th place in Paris-Tours U23.

There are some changes in the names of teams. First of all, I signed my deal with Team Lotto NL - Jumbo which was Pro Continental team at that time. I realised something very important just after I signed a deal with them. They were on first place in CT ranking. That means that my third season is going to be in a World Tour!

My first race in World Tour. Pretty exotic as it's in Australia. If I want to have more experience I have to do what my team wants from me. And they wanted a breakaway, of course. Six men in front, +5'20" max. I didn't have any more energy so I was caught just 13kms from the finish. Remaining kms were taken easy by me.
1 | Fabio Felline | Astana Pro Team | 3h47'40 | 2 | Max Kanter | Bahrain - Merida | + 23 | 3 | Jérémy Lecroq | FDJ | s.t. | 4 | Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 5 | Dylan Page | Bora - Hansgrohe | s.t. | 6 | Zico Waeytens | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 7 | Carlos Moratón | Team Katusha - Alpecin | s.t. | 8 | Ramunas Navardauskas | Bahrain - Merida | s.t. | 9 | Łukasz Wiśniowski | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 10 | Jason Lowndes | Cannondale - Drapac | s.t. | 118 | Jonas Duurhuus | TEAM Philips | + 3'00 |
Now first stage race while riding in a World Tour team. Another exotic, because it's Dubai. 12 riders in a breakaway. We got maximum of +3'20". Another close attempt. This time we got caught just 6kms from the finish. I had some energy left, but not so much.
1 | Christophe Laporte | FDJ | 2h55'05 | 2 | Daniel Hoelgaard | Joker - Icopal | s.t. | 3 | Magnus Cort Nielsen | Gazprom - RusVelo | s.t. | 4 | Kristoffer Halvorsen | Vérandas Willems - Crelan | s.t. | 5 | Lorenzo Manzin | Delko - Marseille Provence | s.t. | 6 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 7 | Nicolas Marini | UAE Team Emirates | s.t. | 8 | Alexander Kristoff | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 9 | Nacer Bouhanni | Orica - Scott | s.t. | 10 | Ahmet Örken | Delko - Marseille Provence | s.t. | 11 | Jonas Duurhuus | TEAM Philips | s.t. |
Stage 2, another flat one. My role? Leader outsider. It's weird considering there is Wout Poels with us as our GC leader. Also Dutch one was one protecting me whole stage.
1 | Alexander Kristoff | Team Dimension Data | 3h51'11 | 2 | Nicolas Marini | UAE Team Emirates | s.t. | 3 | Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 4 | Armindo Fonseca | FDJ | s.t. | 5 | Pierre-Luc Périchon | FDJ | s.t. | 6 | Ahmet Örken | Delko - Marseille Provence | s.t. | 7 | Geoffrey Soupe | FDJ | s.t. | 8 | Jay McCarthy | Orica - Scott | s.t. | 9 | Mickaël Delage | FDJ | s.t. | 10 | Joakim Kjemhus | Joker - Icopal | s.t. | 11 | Jonas Duurhuus | TEAM Philips | s.t. |
Looking at the profile for this stage I'm not so sure about it being "flat". Would you consider this as a flat? Because I wouldn't.
1 | Nacer Bouhanni | Orica - Scott | 4h55'39 | 2 | Wout Poels | TEAM Philips | + 8 | 3 | Louis Vervaeke | Team Dimension Data | + 16 | 4 | Marcus Burghardt | Astana Pro Team | + 25 | 5 | Alexey Lutsenko | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 6 | Zico Waeytens | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 7 | Enrico Battaglin | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 8 | Alexander Kristoff | Team Dimension Data | s.t. | 9 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 10 | Magnus Cort Nielsen | Gazprom - RusVelo | s.t. | 98 | Jonas Duurhuus | TEAM Philips | + 1'50 |
Last stage was about protecting Poels as GC Leader.
1 | Mikkel Bjerg | Caja Rural - Seguros RGA | 2h31'11 | 2 | Arman Kamyshev | Vérandas Willems - Crelan | s.t. | 3 | Marcus Burghardt | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 4 | Soufiane Haddi | Soul - Brasil Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 5 | Reto Müller | Fortuneo - Oscaro | s.t. | 6 | Andreas Leknessund | UAE Team Emirates | s.t. | 7 | Alexys Brunel | Delko - Marseille Provence | s.t. | 8 | Nico Denz | Team Sunweb | s.t. | 9 | Jens Adams | An Post - Chain Reaction | s.t. | 10 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 46 | Jonas Duurhuus | TEAM Philips | s.t. |
General Classification:
1 | Wout Poels | TEAM Philips | 14h13'08 | 2 | Louis Vervaeke | Team Dimension Data | + 10 | 3 | Alexander Kristoff | Team Dimension Data | + 13 | 4 | Christophe Laporte | FDJ | s.t. | 5 | Lasse Norman Hansen | Astana Pro Team | + 17 | 6 | Ricardo Vilela | Caja Rural - Seguros RGA | + 19 | 7 | Valens Ndayisenga | Soul - Brasil Pro Cycling Team | + 20 | 8 | Marc Hirschi | Trek - Segafredo | + 21 | 9 | Arnaud Démare | Quick-Step Floors | + 23 | 10 | Zico Waeytens | Quick-Step Floors | s.t. | 46 | Jonas Duurhuus | TEAM Philips | + 1'47 |
Good win by Poels. I hope it's great omen for future. Twice 11th place is acceptable by me. |

I love how realistic this story outlines the tough way of a young cyclist working his way up the ladders. Great story dominox!
