@sutty68, Thanks! I believe you won't be disappointed this year Wink

I will stop saying that I was riding in a breakaway. It's happening almost in every race now. But the most important from stage 1 is that I won two mountain sprints so I was wearing mountain leader jersey for next stage.

Flat race with some cobble sections. So... 8 riders in a breakaway. One of them from our team. I was saving my energy for last kms... But I freaking crashed just 10kms from the finish! Ugh... At least Overland finished second.

I was a part of sprint train today. F. Roinas was our outsider for today classic. I did my job pretty well as our leader was 5th.

A lot of great teams like Movistar, Astana, FDJ, AG2R & Cofidis. Great training for me as it's a hilly classic. And Paris-Roubaix U23 is just few days after it. I decided to go for a breakaway. It's a great idea to show yourself to World Tour teams. Four riders had maximum +5'30 and I got caught just 7 kms from the finish. I didn't have any more power to go for it.

i66.tinypic.com/2ikpo4x.jpg

Again main favourite. I believe it's my second and last start here and I want to prove everything right now!

i66.tinypic.com/2q1dwuq.jpg

50 kms to go - 21 riders in main group. No breakaway. Alone from my team.
30 kms to go - 42 riders in main group. Everyone is watching me. I know I'm the biggest favourite but c'mon... It's like Sagan syndrome.
25 kms to go - Go Jonas, Go! I can do it! I have to use my ability on riding on the cobbles!

i67.tinypic.com/2lk5vk2.jpg

15 kms to go - I'm alone! Can I do it? Can I win Paris - Roubaix U23?

Finish - Yes!!! Yes! Freaking yes! I'm speechless!

@sutty68; Indeed. I don't think I'll start in GT anytime soon.

This time two stage races. In Poland, second in Portugal. Then it should be Tour Alsace in France. But I decided to not ride that race because of my tiredness. Also my first HC race is incoming really fast so it's better to take the rest for some days. Now, teams that were interested in signing me for next season.

i64.tinypic.com/4j8ck7.jpg

To be honest at the start I was thinking about World Tour Team, but I decided to sign a deal with decent Pro Continental Team for next two years. What team? You will see at the start of another season!

Like I said in the previous post, my goal is KotM jersey. And looking at the profiles, final win might not be very hard. On stage 1 I won 3 out of 4 KotM sprints, but on last one I didn't have enough power so I stayed after breakaway and got caught by the peloton. So, KotM jersey is mine.

sutty68, Indeed! But it's a bit lame to be honest that there is no Norwegian Championship :/

All stages categorized as flat. Last one including Cauberg, twice! Also, I was the only rider from my team to take part in this race, great! I can do anything I want.

Very strong field of sprinters. Our leader Roinas wasn't even rates via "*" with having 76/76 in both sprint and acceleration. My job was to set up a sprint train. And knowing how good other sprinters are, I decided to do what I can to give Roinas the best possible position for mass sprint.

Summary of 2018: (Warning! Big photo, that's why in spoiler)

Spoiler
i66.tinypic.com/ke6mtk.jpg

This season was much better than my first. A lot decent top 10 places in first half of season. Plus two stage wins. Both in France. Also a KotM jersey. Then amazing victory in Paris-Roubaix U23. After bad 11th place last year to great victory in this year. Second half started with some stage races. Not many acceptable results until winning overall mountain at Arctic Race of Norway. Thanks to that I can now fight in World Tour races. After race in Norway it was really nice Olympia Tour U23. Great 3rd place followed by 6th place and 12th overall. Season ended with nice 5th place in Paris-Tours U23.

There are some changes in the names of teams. First of all, I signed my deal with Team Lotto NL - Jumbo which was Pro Continental team at that time. I realised something very important just after I signed a deal with them. They were on first place in CT ranking. That means that my third season is going to be in a World Tour!

My first race in World Tour. Pretty exotic as it's in Australia. If I want to have more experience I have to do what my team wants from me. And they wanted a breakaway, of course. Six men in front, +5'20" max. I didn't have any more energy so I was caught just 13kms from the finish. Remaining kms were taken easy by me.

Now first stage race while riding in a World Tour team. Another exotic, because it's Dubai. 12 riders in a breakaway. We got maximum of +3'20". Another close attempt. This time we got caught just 6kms from the finish. I had some energy left, but not so much.
