Another piece of idiotic driving...safety of riders is obviously still a non-factor.

Omg, Gaviria rode like a complete retard Just seen the clip, why you not wait for the sprint son? Anyways incredibly impressive to go this well after so much rotten luck in his prep, I didn't expect him to keep up let alone animate the race. Oh well.
Here is the video btw: https://www.tv2.no/sport/9384804/
Like, wtf is he doing.. still got 8th.
Its retarded but any panache is good panache |

Also Hayman was taken out due to the cars. Had to avoid a car and the only way to do so was to hit the barriers. Can't recall any event where this happened as much as in Bergen this year

It's been happening a lot this year aswell? Didn't Bookwalter go head first into the rear window of a service car?
And that Shimano car hitting riders twice in the same race?

I for one was happy to see Sagan win the WC for a third time and I don't even consider myself a Sagan fan. He so deserved to win the MSR after putting in the most impressive attack in that race since Cancellara tried to do it several years ago, before getting mugged like Cance did. He should've won at Flanders if not for that ridiculous crash as I'm sure he and the others would've caught Gilbert. Got struck by lunacy at the Tour and so a victory at the Worlds fully deserved.
If I wore a hat, I'd certainly take it off to this legend!

Uhm, GVA and Naesen both looked at least equally strong than Sagan. Sorry to stir this up again, but Sagan has actually ruined GVA and Naesen's chances for the win in that moment, so I don't why Sagan should get karma points for that. That said, Sagan had his fair share of bad moments this spring campaign, eg. thinking back on all the mechanicals he gets for riding off-road in Roubaix, so it came back in a way..

Too late, he influenced the race. Together with the tv-disaster two major disappointments from the organisation.
This!
Totally ruined the Worlds for me as it`s just awful they didn`t pulled him out with 20km to go and before all that last couple kilometer impact by him.
Regarding Sagan. Quite awesome acchievement. You might like him or not, but winning it three times in a row is simply huge. One of the all-time best. |

oh here we go again if the grandma had a beard...
No one told Sagan to ride the sidewalk so close to the barrier. Karma. |

Yeah lol, Sagan wasn't any more favourite than the others after that super hard race. GVA was definitely my favourite at that point, he just had a godlike finish in that spring. As Shonak said, if anything Sagan ruined it for ol' Greg who was robbed once again of the opportunity in Flanders after his big crash in 16 |

Interesting insight into the numbers required at the front of the race. Usual story of taking any in isolation makes them seem reasonable but the repetition and distance makes it unobtainable. Still interesting to compare to my own part time riding - e.g. I know what it feels like to climb something like Salmon Hill at a little over 6W/kg for 3 minutes but I also know I'm not doing that repetitively and after 200+km let alone the final lap efforts that, after many hours of racing, are obviously still far beyond my super fresh, well rested best effort!
