We have reached that time of year where we reveal our goals for the 2017 season! Some of these goals would look rather familiar like the top 10 in CT standings and also the Great Ocean Road Classic goal. However, with Tim Roe coming back better then ever this season we hope to achieve more then 1 goal this season. So without further ado, we reveal our 2017 goals!
Goal | Country | Race | Win | | Windhoek ITT |
Last year we had a good showing here coming in 4th and 5th place. However, this year we want to go for more and win this race! It will be difficult but we have the reigning Namibian TT champion and hope that with that Lotto Petrus can show his own country why he wears that jersey!
Riders like Flens, Petrus, Roe and Delgerbayar will target this race!
Goal | Country | Race | Top 5 | | Tour of Bulgaria |
This is a goal that is very possible! The Tour of Bulgaria almost perfectly suits Australian stage racer, Timothy Roe. With 3/5 mountain stages and even an individual time trial, this race is perfect for a rider like Tim. A top 5 will be hard but we feel it is doable.
Tim Roe will be our main rider for this race!
Goal | Country | Race | Top 5 | | Giro del Trentino |
Another top 5 goal for the team, this Italian race is another one suited perfectly to the r like of Tim Roe. With mountain stages and an ITT this race could be another that Tim Roe is able to achieve a high GC result!
Tim will be our main rider here once again.
Goal | Country | Race | Top 10 | | Great Ocean Road Classic |
The Great Ocean Road Classic has been the team's goal since day one. Last year we achieved 8th on the day with Delgerbayar and this year we hope for a result around the same as that. We are hoping for a top 10 in this race. Von Hoff is hoping for a strong showing here and so is Delgerbayar.
Von Hoff and Delgerbayar will be the two main riders here.
Goal | Country | Race | Top 10 | - | CT Team Standings |
This is going to be the hardest to achieve considering the past 2 seasons we haven't been able to break the top 20. However, with some big riders coming in this year and dead weight riders being shipped out, we hope we can achieve great things! This year we will be hoping to hit the top 10 and maybe even grab some extra money if we promote to the PCT.
And that's it. That's the goals! Hopefully this goals are achievable and we will work very hard to achieve them! The transfer window is well underway and the next update will be transfer related with some huge news coming in!!!

With the transfer season well underway, it is time for us to announce our first signings for the year. Now as you should all know, we have been searching long and hard for that long awaited (and needed) mountain climber who can really challenge for the win up this hard mountains. Well this season we have managed to finally sign a rider with such talent. Please help us in welcoming Piter Campero to the team!!
Rider | Wage | Speciality | Piter Campero | 85,000 | Climber |
Piter is leaving the top team in the Pro Tour to join our little team in the CT where he will be our main team climber. We are hoping that with his strong climbing ability he will be able to climb hard and win stage races from the mountain stage. Piter will be a very valuable asset to our team hopefully promoting this season and with a transfer fee of 750k we hope that he will be money well spent! He is also the Bolivian double national champion which brings us great hope in his abilities!

Rider | Wage | Speciality | Ben O'Connor | 25,000 | Climber |
O'Connor is a loan in from our friend at Jayco - Cobra9. He is an Australian born climber who we are going to help develop for that team over the next year! He will be a great asset in showing of the team jersey and hopefully getting into the breakaways and showing of the teams amazing jersey! O'Connor will be a good asset to the team and we hope to make team Jayco - Cobra9 proud of their rider!
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 67 | 68 | 65 | 64 | 63 | 67 | 68 | 53 | 58 | 67 | 67 | 69 | 63 |
Finally, we have to sadly say goodbye to 3 of our former riders. Tuguldur Tuulhangai just couldn't find his feet at the team that started with a complete Mongolian background which, unfortunately, led to us sacking the rider this season.
Australian climber, Cameron Bayly, goes on loan for the year to top PT team, Festina Dexia. We are very excited to see how he progresses at the top team in the world and hopefully he can progress enough to become an even better rider at the end of the season!
And finally, Gabonese and world favourite, Amadou Bakari, says goodbye after only one season simply due to under performance. He leaves for Haute Route p/b Mavic for a fee of 75k. We wish him and his new team great success in the future!

Now that the transfer window is in full swing and several days have past since our update of signings, we thought it was time to let you know how we are going. The team management have been slaving away day and night to try find salary cap in our budget in order to make one more big signing. However, while we try to do that we have made other smaller signings. Please help me in welcoming the following rider.
Rider | Wage | Speciality | Fraser Gough | 50,000 | ??? |
Fraser is a young Kiwi talent who has been in our sights for a while now! Fraser is one of those riders who you can basically build up anyway you want. We have been working with Fraser to try and find his strength and currently we have found that there are many, many options in what way we can lead the rider and we will continue to work with him on this for the next few years. The beauty about signing this rider is that we now have the New Zealand RR national champion on our team! This is a huge achievement for us and are very excited to see where we can take Fraser in the future!
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 66 | 61 | 65 | 64 | 60 | 62 | 60 | 66 | 64 | 60 | 67 | 72 | 68 |
Once again, sadly we cannot make progress without leaving some riders behind. However, this rider isn't going for long. Taylor Gunman has decided to go on loan to his old home Jayco - Cobra9 for the next season. We know that with the help of our Australian friends, Taylor will come back stronger then ever next season and once again lead our team as a huge Kiwi talent! We wish Taylor the best of luck for the next season!
As the transfer season continues, we will bring you the news as close to it as it happens. We have a few negotiations happening at the moment and hope to bring in one more huge talent to help out the team in a huge way! We also hope to bring in a few stagiares or free agents to really help the team in the future!

Campero will give your team a new level, our boys look forward to duelling him in the mountains this season Gough is a nice talent and good to see Gunman finding a loan home across the ditch. A leader or two more and that top 10 goal isn't far away

Thanks Jandal!!
Yeh we are currently trying to organise to bring in 1 more leader and depending one one other deal there might even be another couple of young talents or one more leader. But it all depends on the next few very important days!

As the transfer season comes to a close we are very excited to release to you our full roster for 2017! We have made a few big signings but we have also loaned out some riders in order for them to reach their full potential!!
In the final day of transfers a bad deal was discussed and it did not go through. With this being said, this happened twice and we accepted a deal we could not afford. As a punishment for going over our salary cap, we had to release one of our new top riders in the name of Mathieu Bernaudeau. A stay TT rider who could have done well for the team. However, we have accepted this punishment and once again apologise for our misconduct.
So without any further ado. The team of 2017!
Note
- Ben O'Connor is loaned in from Jayco - Cobra9 with clause to level up.
- Taylor Gunman is loaned out to Jayco - Cobra9 with a clause to MAX out.
- Miles Scotson is loaned out to Philips - Continental with a clause to level up.
- Cameron Bayly is loaned out to Festina - Dexia with a clause to MAX out.
There you have it! The full roster! With a new leader on the team and other riders rejoining, we are looking forward to what should be, our best season yet!
Our next post will be a more descriptive look at the team!

While I like the team and our friendly cooperation regarding two cool loanies this year, you will likely struggle against some heavy competition in CT.
If only you had agreed to sell Roe, you could have kept Bernadeau kidding aside: mistakes happen. Feel sorry for you. Hopefully it may push your riders to perform on a slightly higher level

The competition has definitely stepped up a notch in all areas! We will definitely struggle but hopefully the ability within the team is enough to find a higher spot in the CT rankings!
Roe was never gonna be for sale
Yeh it would have been nice to have a higher rated TT rider but we only wanted him for the Windhoek ITT. I'm sure we can survive without him and hopefully achieve our goal of winning the Namibian race!

A bit unfortunate about the loss of Bernadeau, but like you mention, a time trialist's departure is not the end of the world. Looking forward to coming up against you this season, and I think you have a team that will score some points in the sprints, with that formidable train. Not sure about the top 10 goal, as the CT division is so strong, but you're definitely in with a fighting chance. Good luck mate

Yeh hopefully Von Hoff can start winning! If he does we will definitely gain more points!
Hopefully Campero and Roe can also perform as leaders this season as well!

A team that we won't clash with a lot in terms of going for results! Overall fairly strong base of riders you have got going for you. Not really sure if you will be in promotion contending this season but you have some nice riders like Campanero to build a team around in a season where the climbers are bit less inflated.

Looking at the team it is not the most incredible or strong team in the CT. However, this team has a great base and a lot of potential among the riders. If our leaders perform, we have a lot of potential to do very well this season. With Campero coming in and Roe returning, we now have a lot of potential in mountains and stage races! Von Hoff stays the same but hopefully this season he can perform to his ability and win his first stage in ManGame history!
Overall we can definitely do well this season and we all hope that as a team we can improve on our results last season. It will be very hard to get to the top 10 but we will all try our very best!

More improvement at Garmin! Campero is a great new leader and I still like the remaining Mongolians who are very ncie but most of all a maxed out Roe is a great addition back into the fold and a fantastic CT rider who can still cause upsets. Von Hoff is still a very nice sprinter as well. Good luck and can't wait to race against our fellow part-Kiwis!
