And maybe stage 19 as well. Attack on Alto de San MartÃn de Huerces climb. Its only 4,5km long with average gradients around 7,2% but in the last 2km there are gradients of 11%. From the top 15km is remaining considering downhill section ends 4km before the finish line. I know there is too many SKY bots but maybe Vincenzo attack prior to the top with that downhill section (do not know how technical/non-technical it is) could be worth of trying.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

What I definitely miss in this Vuelta is Tom Dumoulin. I would love to see how he would try to deal with Froome and SKY.
With this Vuelta Sky team? Nothing more then rest rivals. |

At the very least he would get weak in the knees when thinking about the long TT, and it's someone Froome would have to put time into.

No, because he has other style of riding and he is managing his efforts as Froome. He could sit with Froome on wheels and waiting for TT as wel as Froome was waiting for TT to extend his lead. Dumoulin could without problems be in "SKY train" and ride on Froome`s wheel. Question is if he would be able to hold on in mountains. But in 2015 Vuelta he was good at steep gradients and he also beat Froome there.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

I'm not sure, a while ago I was thinking, what if we all read the Giro wrong? What if Quintana, Nibali, Pinot, etc actually were all in top shape at the Giro and Dumoulin was just better? That would make Dumoulin a worthy challenger for Froome.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

As far as I remember, the W/kg values told a different story...

I've enjoyed Orica's attacking tendencies all Vuelta.. My Chaves hopes are all but dead, but a Haig stage win would make up for it.

30 secs for Haig to the leaders at the bottom, looks good. Magnus Cort was gold in the downhill
