The 2017 rider renewal files are sent out to everyone now.
While the "rules" are also PMed to everyone, here the thread with the longer text copied from previous seasons:
For each of your riders you will receive a wage request, and it is then up to you to negotiate with them to reach as low a wage as possible. Riders can usually be negotiated with on their requested wage, although the difference between their minimum acceptable wage and their request does vary quite a lot from rider to rider.
As soon as you offer a rider an amount they are happy with, they will accept - this is committed to being their wage for the 2017 season, you cannot attempt to negotiate any further with them. There are 3 Rounds for renewals, and if a rider has not accepted your offers after 3 rounds then he will became a free agent.
If you want to release a rider, give them an offer of 0 in the first round.
The minimum wage is 50,000. If you are initially unsure whethere you want to release or renew a rider, you should offer them a value above 0 and less than 50,000 in the first round to keep your options open.
It is possible to go over your salary cap at the end of Renewals, but doing so will lead to a fine of double that amount. For example, if you go over your salary cap by 100k then you will receive a fine of 200k.
There is no limit on the amount of riders you renew - it does not have to meet the same minimum/maximum requirements that are needed for the end of the Transfer season itself.
Same as 2016
As last year Renewals is going to be a little bit harder than it has been in the past. The riders have all noticed that those on the free agency tend to receive a higher wage. Many have therefore decided to ask for more money this year.
Riders will not react well at all if they feel your initial offer is too low. They will be insulted by your offer and will no longer be willing to negotiate. There are two options at this stage: either pay them exactly what they have requested, or release them to the free agency.
Another difficulty to renewals is that riders are no longer providing feedback on how close your offer was to being accepted. Previously they would say if you were 'Close', 'Average' or 'Way Off' but they won't do that any more.
Budget
As renewals start early this year, race profiles, goals and budget are not decided yet. Hence you can wait until those to finish before renewing your riders.
Hence it`s even more important to not make your new wages public! Or give any kind of hints towards their new wage. This includes if he went lower or higher or if you are happy with it. Wait with this until the post renewals DB is published.
New CT teams will be PMed their team budget at a later point. |

- Do the riders ask more yet again or is this just repeating that they're asking for more then 2 season ago?
- We're not allowed to discuss wages, but can we discuss renewals without wages?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

If a riders isn't satisfied with the offered wage then will turn back saying they are not satisfied. They will ask for the same fee as they did originally.
I would say all discussion regarding renewals is a no-go, just to be certain. A note saying "I'm done with my renewals" I'd say is fine, but something like "I have renewed with these riders: xxxx" is probably not the ideal solution, although Roturn might disagree.

When we're done with a round of renewals, should we send a PM to you (or to Mangame Admin)?

@ollfardh
Renewals itself are "equal" to last year. Hence the text above is mostly copy&pasted from there.
Yes. Please don`t mention renewal results at all for the moment. Once they are all in, a new DB with other fixes as well will be published and then you can start discussing about renewals. |

Should I be worried that I haven't received a Renewals file yet?

roturn is trying to figure out for what amount you would not offer Morton a new contract.

This is most likely a stupid question if I'm right or if I'm wrong, but do you do R1, send it off, then R2, send it off, etc, or do all the rounds all in one go?
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.

Do R1 and then send it back. Some riders will accept, some will reject your offer. Those that reject then have the process repeated in R2. |

I currently have a provisional sallaries, but they are based on my current budget. Can I send my R1 now and after my budget for the next season is sorted I'd do my R2 of renegotiations?
PS: The edited file has to be up in my Dropbox folder Y/N?

Your wage cap will always be the same at €1 200 000, so you shouldn't worry too much about that.
