Aldo Lature signs with Astana Pro Team June 24th, 2019 Aldo Lature, the surprising number two of the most recent edition of Paris - Roubaix, will leave Spain's Ruralvía-Seguros RGA team.
Both his current and future employers have now confirmed the Bolivian's move. His breakthrough year, featuring a top 10 place in De Ronde and a podium finish in Roubaix, attracted the interest of other WT teams. Talks only took days from the annual starting date. The Kazach team came out on top as the 22-year-old cobbler agreed on signing a one-year contract. Furthermore Omar Fraile is set to move away from the team as well. The 28-year-old Basque breakaway specialist, whose most remarkable result was a 5th overall and a stage win in the 2015 Tour of Turkey, has decided to disclose his move to Movistar Team. Fraile has signed a one-year deal.

Seguros RGA to end sponsorship at the end of the year June 25th, 2019 As of next year, Seguros RGA will no longer feature on our team's main jersey nor be a name sponsor to the team. Negotations with some potential co-sponsors are to be held within the next weeks.
Seguros RGA, the Caja Rural Group's insurance brand, had been involved with this team since March 2013. It's the Group itself which cut the knot: Seguros RGA's link with the team will completely expire in order to make room for a brand new partner. The biggest purpose is to give the Spanish formation a more international outlook. There's no doubt Ruralvía will not be alone next season. There are too many rider contracts to be renewed.

Seba Henao caught up with a three-man break after two laps. The main group with guys as Nairo Quintana and Miguel Á. López was losing 5'38". Seba's long pursuit had taken much out of him. Before the closing 2 laps he had to let go John Darwin Atapuma, Isaac Bolívar and Eduard Beltran. The bunch was not interested in the jersey at all. On the final long climb, Bolívar accelerated. Neither Beltran nor Atapuma could/ wanted to react. The two chasers did what they could but Bolívar, aged 28, held on for the tricolour and a long-overdue first pro victory. Minutes later, Henao came fourth as Nairo Quintana tested his Tour legs to conclude the day in fifth. Escapees in Diogo Nunes and Rui Barrios were provided by LA Aluminios-Antarte and Louletano-Ray Just Energy, two domestic continental teams. On the final steep climb, 20 kms from the finish, Ruben chased down an attack of Rui Costa and time trial winner Oliveira. Barrios would blow up. After having dropped Nunes as well Ruben turned around asking Oliveira not to skip turns. While he did Costa tried to attack and Oliveira reacted. Our man managed to catch up again and the pack was too far off to deny the jersey to one of them. Costa launched quickly, gaining a few meters. When Costa had to sit up, the other two passed. Nelson Oliveira secured the double, Ruben Guerreiro had to settle for yet another second place.
