Thought statistics proved that Contador is one of the worst riders in rain in the peloton...
Which statistics? Contador has stated that he doesnt not like the heat of summer and prefers rain over hig heat due to his allergies. Meanwhile, Froome is known to dislike rainy conditions afaik so I'm just hoping someone will take advantage of that.
I am sorry, don't have those available, but we've had a statistic about cyclists that perform better/worse in rainy conditions, and a lot of obvious riders were to find (Zakarin, Wiggins,...), but the big surprise was Alberto Contador...

His days of being considered a GT contender are over I think. He's looked so far off the pace at this years Tour. He should have concentrated on the Giro/Vuelta instead.
