Not in Tour De France, not since 2010, where he was dopet.

You cannot compare, Tour De France with Paris-Nice or any other race. Tour De France is Tour De France, not Paris-Nice.

Dude, in the same post you quoted I gave answer to the reasons why.

Dude, in the same post you quoted I gave answer to the reasons why.

He is having trouble completing the race because he is very bad to be sitting on the bike. Yes. The probability that he crashed again, is much greater than the probability of ending the podium for the first time in 7 years.

Riis123
He wasnt competive in 13 and 15 for vavrious reasons.
In 14 he was the at the best level post suspension, by a mile i might add, but crashed. In 16 he could probably have finished on the poidum.

I have doubts he can win really, but all it takes is a crash or something. GTs are a strange thing Wink

And in 2017 it's because he crashed or tired after Paris-Nice...
Contador fans find constant new excuses...

That's not fair!
Contador simply didn't win because the sun was a bit too shiny that day! That made him crash, it was the sun's fault and also everyone else but Contador because he's the best and I'm such a fanboy and I love him and he'll win every Tour from now on.

Take your time with this Arberg, go nuts Smile

speaking of contador lequipe are saying and cyclingnews repeat it that contador wants to focus on the giro next year and retire at the end of it if he wins

Or because he did not get "steak"

Contador is always a dangerous rider, not only because of his ability and experience, but also because the size of his balls. The dude attacks from everywhere, is it 5km from the finish or 50km. Do not discard him.

Maybe his big balls are the reason he's always crashing

Yes he always attacks, but he also blows up after about 2 kms every time.

Yes as in TDF 2011 on Alpe d'Huez stage! Where he almost beat Thomas Voeckler!

I won't even bother responding to your nonsense by listening the myriad times Contador made amazing attacks stick.. not worth the time.

Not at the TdF for about 4/5 years, which is what this discussion is about. He may make them stick at the Vuelta burgos etc, but not the tour anymore.

Would be a great way to end his career. Afair he loves Giro by far the most and it's always the best GT anyway. It'd also be huge promo for Segafredo (and Trek).

Last time Contador attack in TDF where he won time xD https://www.youtu...KrEDZG24m4

Nice to ser that the usual TDF "debate" has begun. Time to start throwing doping accusations and general abuse against everyone.

@Shonak I'm not trash talking Contador I'm just working from recent history, his best result in his last 5 Tour attempts was 4th (I'm excluding 2010 as his result was scrubbed) so it's not an odd thing to think that his Tour winning days are done. He is a great rider and if he stays upright then he can finish on the podium but I just don't see him winning the race, I just think he will find a couple of riders better than him. Now if you think that is trash talk then I don't think you know what trash talk is Wink

It's because you carefully ignore the history behind his results.
2013 - he was shit, granted
2014 - he was awesome, crashed out
2015 - Giro double attempt failed
2016 - crashed again

You see the pattern, do you? Contador has once finished outside of Top 5 at le Tour and that was when he was super young. Why would he be happy/lucky with a Top 5? Then again, the guy won since his ban 3 GTs (one coming back from injury, one straight from the ban, and one in an double attempt who is still the biggest task in GT riding you can come up with..). So whatever result you list, you have to look at the background. That said, Contador has been competitive in stage races and GTs all the time so ppl stating he has no shot and should be lucky to Top 5, I just can't take those ppl serious and that's my take on it and I don't bother about more discussion on this matter really.

Calm down mate...i dont have reason to continue this debate, when you are calling probably the top3 worlds luxury GT domestique (Kreuziger) a useless helper that does nothing for his leader. Are you sure you are not mixing him with Majka?

No, I am referring to Kreuziger who did, as I said, jack shit for Contador since 2013. Really, he has been useless and frankly this is also down to his bloodpass suspension so he missed out a long time there obviously but in the races that Contador and Kreuziger did together he was really not good for his GT leader and that's including stage 2 because Contador dropped that day in work of Sagan's stage win fyi. Not sure that is what a GT domestique is supposed to do, is it?

Well regardless, Kreuziger is surely not Top3 GT domestique in my opinion and hasn't been since 2013 and he won't be coming back to this lvl of 2013. That's just all opinions of course, mine and yours and that's ok. let's just keep it that.

Btw it is funny to hear about distributing the cakes to winner from you, who overhype every second youngster and give them credit for something that can happen in the future. Pfft

This is you kidding me now, right? Because even you must understand, since you know me personally, that most of this is just for the lulz, right?

Most of my posts are also just for the lulz, you also should know that. Pfft

But we will never agree on one thing: Contador is not Tour podium candidate anymore. Tour de France is completely different race to others, you cant say "he won Vuelta" and thus justify him as contender for Tour, because that is different thing. Btw staying on the bike is part of the game. When you fall of the bike, you failed the same way if you were not strong in mountains. He did nothing at Tour since 2010 and that is a fact, you cant deny that.
I'll be back
