Dumoulin's TT performance for me was expected, but his climbing performance on Blockhaus was mind-blowing. I doubt he can keep up that for the 3rd week, but we'll see. |

Well, that was some serious demolition from Tommy D, but pretty much expected right? Now i will laugh when seeing his ass being raped in third week by both Quintana and Pinot. That guy will be happy to finish on podium.
Btw. czech talent Hirt 25th in GC after the TT, that is very decent, i hope that he can even improve that in later stages, so far a perfect Giro from him.

Aquila-like stage today?
LLS from the break is my pick. |

Don't underestimate Preidler for Giant. He was 26th in last year's Giro so I think he can be very helpful too
Amador in the break. This could be very interesting

One third of Movistar is in break. I can bet Quintana attacking on last climb, but for Dumoulin climb is not too difficult and Ten Dam is in break himself. |

I'm suprised FDj and Trek didnt send a rider into the breakaway. Nibali, Quintana and Dumoulin have helpers in front in case the race blows up even more. So the pressure is on them (Mollema and Pinot) as well |

It's a part of racing, but man I hate when other teams come to the rescue of a jersey leader in trouble. So annoying. |

Mollema rides for podium, he knows he doesn't have what it takes to win a GT. So ofc. not letting Amador getting to many min, is important for him.
Almost glad that Trek lost two guys today, less riders Mollema can send forward to spoil offensive moves, to save his fourth place

TVG...I would not want to be in his shoes. He must be really depressed. Anyway whats wrong with him? He has/had a potential...Why?
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

I think gap to Amador could be down to 1 minute or even be caught by the time we finish. |

I noticed that many people scoff at him here. What was he talking? You mean that form of his life? Thats nothing to laugh at I think.
I do not consider myself as his fanboy but I just somehow dont understand why he is always struggling in recent two years? Man he was 3rd in TDF before he retired from race. And now, he is nowhere in GT

He was complaining wildly on social media about Movistar in TTT with some pushing which was marginal I thought. Anyway Valv put him back in his place days later.
