I'm surprised that Belgium is in Final. Song and performance are worse then other songs which isn't in Final.
I would ask all the people from the Balkan to contact me so that we can create our community.
List of Balkan countries:
- Albania
- Bosnia & Herzegovina
- Bulgaria
- Croatia
- Greece
- Kosovo
- Macedonia
- Montenegro
- Romania
- Serbia
- Slovenia
- Turkey

I had Belgium last by quite a margin. I didn't like Portugal either, just put 'meh' for Poland and Slovenia and forgot about Armenia completely. Moreover, even Slavko could hold a note better than the Swede, and I felt a bit underwhelmed by the treadmills.

The problem is that the jury doesn't base their votes on the semifinal purely, but instead in what happens before. The tests, which is very much okay, but they are surely also influenced by media and music videos, which I absolutely hate. I haven't heard to studio versions yet because I don't want to kill my tension on the ESC and the surprise factor before, but I guess that both Sweden and Belgium have some spicy video and only came through due to that. Because their vocal performances where AWFUL.

Lindita messed the first note up in her song, I could tell after listening to the dress rehearsal and then listening to the semi final version last night

Tomorrow Semi Final to go through:
1. Denmark
2. Romania
3. Bulgaria
4. Netherlands
5. Austria
6. Croatia
7. Norway
8. Belarus
9. Macedonia
10. Hungary
Also Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Poland and Portugal into the first half and Australia, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece and Sweden in the second half.
That is concerning for Italy having Armenia, Poland and Portugal in the same half, all very strong songs with a chance of winning. Italy could get forgotten.
The second half is looking really good for the UK, France and Belgium now.

After 9/10 on SF1, I will try to predict SF2 which is far more unpredictable affair...
In order of certainty
| 1 | Bulgaria | Beautiful song that is sung and staged well | | 2 | Romania | I hate it but it's 'fun' | | 3 | Hungary | It builds an atmosphere like no other song this year | | 4 | Denmark | So unbelievably safe and jury friendly | | 5 | Norway | Edgy and modern. No other song like it in the semi | | 6 | Serbia | Malta 2016-esque but Serbia have friends | | 7 | Israel | Average pop song, last slot is a plus | | 8 | Netherlands | Juries will help this go through not televoters | | 9 | Estonia | EuroTrash ballad with a great slot in the running order | | 10 | Switzerland | Generic and safe like Cyrpus from SF1 |
This semi is o unpredictable so I see anyone getting through. Macedonia could get through if the performance is good and captivating, Austria could if Serbia and Macedonia is flat etc...

Trust me, Bulgaria won't be even in the Top 10, let alone Top 3.

I really like the Romanian song. They have a gimmick, but the song carrying that gimmick is catchy. They'll be very successful, I think.

The slogan is "Celabrate diversity", but in the meantime the numer of non-English songs is less than the fingers on one of my hands. What gives?
PS: Why for me the Austrian entry sounds like an Ed Sheeran song?
EDIT: This is my 777th post

what the fuck? no Estonia? second time in a row a country gets absolutely robbed in the semifinals: last year Iceland, this year Estonia...

And rounding up the SF2 here's how the predictors fared
Ste117: 9/10 (Wrong Macedonia)
EwanWilson: 7/10 (Wrong: Serbia, Estonia and Switzerland)
Kirchen_75: 8/10 (Wrong: Serbia and Estonia)
ivaneurope (me): 9/10 (Wrong: Estonia)
Estonia was predicted to be in the final 3 times, Serbia - twice and Macedonia and Switzerland - once

Mind you in my performance ranking I placed Estonia 10th and I've been dwindling between this song and Macedonia for the final spot. I didn't like the Austrian song.
PS: Who thinks that the marrige proposal was clearly on purpose?

Bulgaria's participation in the final in doubt? According to some sources there is ongoing investigation about Kristiyan Kostov's visit in Crimea 3 years ago. However since he was 14 years old at the time of visit the travel ban may not apply to him.
I think they'll let him compete
