This was my whole point about the pushing thing in team time trials. It's such a pointless rule that adds nothing to the sport and just causes confusion and has now led to this issue where one team are punished for breaking a stupid rule so now the organizers have to start punishing everyone by the book. It's just a rule for the sake of having a rule.
The helmet rule is fair enough because that is a safety thing. But why team mates can't push each other in a team time trial is beyond all reason and common sense. It is a pointless rule.

Hope TJ is happy with his outburst after 1st stage because only win he can get is in team TT. He knows in mountains he is 2nd or 3rd rate climber.
And G Thomas are not a GC contendor. He is way behind Froome/Contador. Quintana will destroy him at Giro. Sadly Landa should be better than him but what can you expect in British team. |
