Btw. i was not sure if i am actually awake yesterday, because you dont see Quickstep with good tactics easily, almost looked like a fantasy. They actually did not manage to fuck it up, i dont believe it.
To be fair though they did send their Aish team to a B team race. I mean Sky didn't bother sending a team at all and there were such heavyweights as the Israel Cycling Academy (Which only actually had one Israeli rider).
A good result but lets not get too carried away. They'll find some way to finish 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the big races Their problem is their team is too strong so they never seem to have a definite leader who everyone riders for. It always seems to be "lets see who gets into the break and then you're on your own".

Phil for Ronde #1
BTW. Muddy Roubaix are overrated so much. When its dry its faster and riders take way more risks. Remember last year eh?

Etixx has 8 riders capable of finishing in the top-10 in Flanders. And I bet at least 7 of them will ride De Ronde, its scary |

He was very good in K-B-K (I think, if not then Omloop), but was disappointed in him in Strade Bianche. He made the decisive split, but it was obvious his own teammate Wellens was much, much better and he was quickly dropped |

Totally agree! It doesn't need to be wet for Roubaix to be a great race, last years was one of the best I've watched and that's because it was raced hard. I can see this years edition going the same way, Sagan isn't the raging favourite at Roubaix like he is for races like E3 and RVV.

But we need a wet and muddy Roubaix. It has been 15 years for christ sake. Aint nobody remember the cobbled stage in 2014 in TdF? Pure epicness in rain. |
