Bulldozer CPUs were quite problematic. But only because something was good/bad, doesn't mean it stays that way. I'm just sceptical because normally there's a drawback, when you can buy more for less.

And AMD had to undercut their prices to catch media attention and market share, if Ryzen failed AMD would probably be dead in CPU market.

They could, but that would look rather silly. It would show they were ripping off customers.
I predict prices won't move much but the new 14nm systems will be released much faster and much cheaper, Intel will probably claim some super optimized new method that lead to price reductions..
At least we finally got a decent competition. Market at end of 2000s was almost 50/50 I believe. Now is like 85/15. Hopefully Ryzen allows AMD to even it out a little bit mor.e
