Porte destroys everyone with a super attack, Gorka Izagirre outsprints Chaves just ahead of the main favourite's group, lead in by Dennis. Henao and Bevin lose time on the descent with 20km to go and never got back.
Seems he's pretty much put the GC on a plate provided he can even just hold the wheel on Willunga, Izagirre looked good but then cracked, Chaves cracked then found Izagirre but both only a couple seconds ahead of the pack

Unless bad luck strikes again then Porte has this race now. Good ride from 19 year old Micheal Storer to finish with the big kids in 8th place, he finished in 7th in last years l'Avenir and has a big engine.

Henao did get back admirably, and got an unbelievable 12th place after riding hard hard full gas for 20km just to get get back. If it wasn't for that, he would have had a serious go at challenging Richie. What a shame. |

No surprise to see Ewan take stage 3 of the TDU from Sagan and Bonifazio.
2nd place on the GC Gorka Izagirre had a crash inside the last 3 k's so he lost no time but he was cut up so hopefully the injuries are superficial.

Btw not exactly a very young guy (26), but former talented mountain biker from Czech Republik Ondrej Cink riding for that shitty Bahrain project got 30th place in stage2 in his first WT race on road, that is a pretty good start, i wonder what he can do in road cycling...
