I reckon 1 minute will be somewhat a 50/50 going into the time trial - Quintana did super well in last year's ITT and Froomey isn't no Dumoulin. If the situation is like it is now, I still think Froome will win, but then you have Aitana afterwards and who knows what will happen there.
It shapes up to be an extremely tight Vuelta. Froome slight favourite now, but had he had anything left, he woulda gone and he didn't. Quintana had him in the ropes, but just quite couldn't finish him off.
I still think he needs more than 1 min going into last TT. Froome put over a minute into Quintana in 17k at the Tour a month ago.
1.30 to 2 mins will make it interesting. Any less and Froome will win. |

I think 1:30 for Quintana before the TT, will secure him in terms of having an actual chance of winning the race even after the TT.
If he has 1:30 at the TT, I think he will either come out on top with + 10-15 sec or be behind with 10-15 sec before the final MO stage. But if he only has 54 sec, i fear the Froome more or less can close the race on TT, with Quintana down with a minute, which he won't get on the final day. |

Well, Quintana himself has said that 54 seconds are not enough. Though I'll reckon he can defend himself pretty good in an ITT. He will certainly try to attack Froome today too, but I don't know that he can get anything from it. The Brit has been responding to his attempts admirably. |

Different situation now, definitely. Froome was just overall much stronger, he was simply on much better form - they are pretty equal here and Quintana has done really well in ITT's this year when in form.
An ITT in the Vuelta is different to Le Tour. Froome's track record in Vuelta ITT's aren't good. 1.30 and I'd be very surprised to see Quintana lose overall - but its anyone's guess. |

If he can gain time today while he couldn't on Cabarga and Aubsique I will be very surprised, but he needs to try the last 3 kilometres and I think he indeed will try. But today is very easy. |

Rica missed it, damn. Had one of Chaves or Yates made it into that group, it would have been a whole other thing. |

Surprised that Froome missed the move while Quintana went with Contador. |

Things are going crazy at the first climb today. I think Valverde and moviestar will try to attack and distance, maybe even Yates and Chavez to. |
