If they wanted optional simplicity so everybody is happy, imo they should've just extended the "copy fitness plan" option from last year to also copy the objectives.
(I never understood why it only copied the training levels but no races...)
That way, we could've quickly assigned helpers to a leader's schedule IF WE WANT and everybody who wants to invest the time could still micro-plan the season the same way as before.

Yes, it should be something that you should choose to do. I haven't played the game yet but I can think of loads of problems that this create. Which is a shame though beause I don't think I'm going to buy the game as a result. |

I hate fitnes/goals system in this new game. It completly ruins your freedom as a manager, i men. It is still a manager game isnt it?
its acutally realy sad. They just took the old system and went: Hmm... shuld we build futher on this fitness system, and make it a good one? Ore are we gonna make a new completly usless system that ruins the game? Ah, wat the hell. wee`l take the usless version...... God dam idiots!
THis was a major disapointment, and il think twice before buing another Cyanide game! |

Today I started the career mode for BMC...and I found a lot of problems which makes the game totally unplayable. (I think that I´m a experienced player - played each PCM from 2006 to 2014 with tons of hours).
But the new objective system give me this leaders:
Gilbert
Van Avermaet
Van Garderen
Porte
Sanchez
Dennis
Caruso
That´s OK...BUT!!!
I give the guys this schedule:
Gilbert Ardenes classics - Giro - Lombardy
Van Avermaet Cobbles - TDF - World championship
Van Garderen Tirreno - TDF - Vuelta (maybe)
Porte ParisNice - TDF - something
....and else that it isn´t important...
BUT I need to give the guys strong support.
So I give Oss, Burghardt, Quinziato and Drucker as support for cobbles
I give De Marchi, Velits as support for Van Garderen´s campaign
and Moinard with Atapuma for Porte´s campaign
I need strong support for Tirreno and Paris Nice for my guys and strong support for GC.
But when I will go to TDF I will have a problem, because I will have too many riders for TDF. OK, I could send one of my domestiques to home, but It doesn´t make any sense.
After few minutes, I look on the fitness schedule and I must say: HOLLY COW!!!
The schedule for leaders is changed like I set the objectives, but schedule for domestiques remain the same. So for example if I change Atapuma from Group for GIRO to group for TDF, the fitness schedule remains with focus on GIRO!!! WTF???
I really don´t understand this year version. I spent 30 Euros for something which doesn´t work properly.
I think I will return to 2013 year, which I think was the best PCM of all time. Maybe 2010 was great too. This year PCM is a junk.
What is your opinion for this problem? |

I might have missed something but when you plan the season using the schedule aren't you supposed to be shown which of the riders has which objectives (i know it is only the leaders that has objectives) |

Sorry, I don´t understand.
The problem is like on the screenshot.
At the start of the career I have a Moinard as a domestiques for Caruso who should ride the Giro, but I want him for Porte who will ride Tour de France, so I drag him to Porte´s group.
So I think that normally Moinard´s fitness schedule should be set for a TDF. But it remains the same, like on the screenshots. So I have a rider who should ride TDF, but he will be prepared for Giro!!! That´s wrong

In the schedule from previous years when there would be a small star in race that a specific rider wants to be a part of. That is missing. And yes i know the redid the whole objectives system, but that should not affect this, i think. |

It is bugged man, this is already well known problem. The fitness plans for domestiques does not change when you drag them to another leader! yeah, it makes career unplayable.
So yeah, fantastic job Cyanide!

Definitely Yes, but I have the bad feeling that it will remain how it is for this year version. Which is a big fraud on fans and customer - because the product is unplayable. |

Definitely no, because in manager game, you should be able to control fitness of all of your riders, not unrealistically make one guy just helper for someone for whole freaking year.

Maybe you´re right.
But I could imagine, that if you could choose the leaders yourself and give them the right domestiques with correct fitness schedule, it could works. It´s not best way, but it´s a solution how we could play a career. But I must agree with you that the previous model was much better than this.
I think, that we have thrown the 30 Euros away for nothing. I really cannot imagine how they want to fix it. I will go to holiday to French Alps with my bike, so I will make Pro cycling manager for a real
But I hope it will somehow works after I return and I could play PCM 2016 like years before. |

I hope they will fix the bugs in the end, but still the whole system is step into wrong direction for us, who want to manage whole team. What if i want some semi-leader or just attacking domestique to go for it just in early season-spring and then in late Autumn, with break from May to August? I cant, because he will have schedule like his leader, who has to have also goal in middle of he year.
I dont want my domestiques and 2nd tier leaders being tied up to the schedule of someone else, i want to be able to adress their fitness schedule automatically...

In the meantime, we can use the great LachisEditor (v27) and edit the table DYN_Cyclist_planning. We just have to copy / paste the field "ilist_peaks" of a leader to all his riders. I tried and it seems to work. |

If it is editable, I will think about releasing a season planner tool for PCM 2016.
But before I start it would be good to have some more feedback.
Edit: I did it anyway, so if you want to try it out

In my planner you can select the objectives and make the fitness planning.
But the objectives only work for riders which already have objectives in the game. And for the fitness planning you have to create at least one group in the game and assign your riders to it.
Because this is a test version you better don't overwrite your career.

Could you give non captain riders customized objectives and make their fitness?
When i change my riders for the captain and change the objectives (also to pre-existing), the fitness for my riders change to this objectives. |

Reading this PCM16 problems, makes me re think my purchase. It sucks because even though I love this game, I will only disappoint myself dealing with these. Perhaps I should wait for a much better patch.
I always like the previous managing of your leaders and domestiques. This year is a disaster.

I don't understand how you could possibly screw things up so bad.
How is Carrer mode supposed to be playable now? |
