There's almost something humiliating about bidding on someone that you released during renewals.

I'm completing my squad today with 1 last transfer, because I've ran out of payroll money. But I have to be honest, I've made some great deals

Scorchio, yer pushing me over the line of insanity here
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Look over your shoulder chief, if you focus real hard, you'll see the line is dwindling away in the distance!
In all seriousness, although I came into proceedings late, I think I've managed to avoid entering into all but perhaps 4 already open bid threads thus far, and in every case the thread had significantly over 24 hours to go until closing time.

Oh, and while I am here, have started to get riders to finally commit to signing on the dotted line - empty seats on the team bus starting to slowly get taken up! Still running a good few days behind the folks that have or are near finlising there roster though.
Not being commenting a lot on others teams as yet, but I can see from various posts herein that lots of good hard work has taken place in transfers. Good levels of competition in prospect across all the divisions.

For the record: I think this is kinda hard on knockout. He simply stated some facts to me. If I'm playing my boardgame night, I'm constantly telling other people what to do as well, it feels like part of the game. Though I understand it's against the rules of the MG, it was still my own decision to not follow knockout's bluff and target other riders. So while a punishment seems fair, I think this double punishment is over the top.
Apologies if I shouldn't comment here, feel free to delete or move to a more suitable place.
I'm just going to answer here...
Never EVER in my life, I agreed with Ollfardh, but now. Even though Ollfardh overbid me somewhere, which could've been caused by this, but let's see it from the other side. Would I've known earlier, that my Verbist bids didn't work(because he will go for more), I would've had time to still focus on someone, what I couldn't because I was trying to get Verbist and hadn't money to bid on someone else. I'm not agreeing with the punishment. I also think, that it's bad for the game, when you're not allowed to tell anyone anything. The whole interactions are out of the window then. Just my two cents, tho.

Don't expect my team to change any more, so I'll share it as well.
Happy with:
• Competitiveness in mountains and hills, both tours and classics
• Depth in hills
• 5 good time-trialists for TTT
• No real sprinters, Gazelle style
Not so happy with:
• Mediocre cobble division; this will be the main focus for next year if we stay up
• Big gap between two leaders and the rest; we should gradually balance this out
• Mountain depth
• Lack of a second PT-level GC climber
Sick team! That hilly support is just straight firepower for Ginanni. Ponzi who? Veelers must feel lonely as fuck tho.

Also my team.
Will still probably loan out Moazemi and add one more other player.
Other than in the mountain compartment I have a rather weak team but still some cash left for training. Not sure what to do though. Kiserlovski 81 MO? Wang 77 HI? Nepo 77 CO? I'll see.
So you got Denifl in the end. He'll tear up the mountains surely. Maybe he'll race day clash with Kiserlovski sometimes too, which would annihialte opposition. Stage raceing looks great but in turns definitely lacking in some other areas. Support isn't that outstanding, but surely will do. Nepomysomething stands quite out as a odd guy with cobblez and sprint talent.

Just a question for the more experienced people, how hard is it to lvl a rider 1=>3 in the PCT?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Relatively easy, especially if they are Avenir eligible and you pick some C2 racedays. |

Not extremely hard. Assuming the rider's OVL is low enough to allow 79 RDs you'd only need 1 C2 race and Avenir. If not Avenir it may be fairly tough, have not made those calculations though.

With C2 races, very easy, with C1&HC still absolutely doable if you accept that you might have to put a sprinter in a mountain race.
Like every year, I'll also gladly offer my help with xp calculations to anyone new or insecure with the system, if it's not against the rules.
Just pm me before you send in your race planning.

The moment you have all been waiting for.
2016 Movistar - US Postal
I want to think I have one of the deeper teams in the PT, but I haven't really looked at what the other PT managers have been doing. But, seeing all these great riders making their way to the PCT makes me feel more confident.
We don't have the standout leader, but we have 5-7 capable point scorers in every area with a lot of support: Abal (GC), TVG (Hills), Bookwalter/Fraile (TTs), Altur (Cobbles), Tsatevich (PCT) and Maksimov (Sprints? ).
Overall, this is surely an improvement over last season. Fothen and Ratiy's output should be replaced by Abal. TVG is still TVG. Better TT depth. Altur is maxed out. Tsatevich is the perfect all-around and PCT guy with some training. Maksimov is... a "wildcard" but maybe some more training on him will finally make the difference to get the Russian Rocket out of neutral and into gear.

Are you sure about this Cio - I'm not so certain. Think needs a reasonable number of C2 days still, and Avenir helps, but even with that, still some C2's, no?

As every season, some nice fuck ups during the end of the transfer season as I tend to be way too horny in signing loads of riders the first days.
The sack fine box is getting heavy, but the team should be completed now if everything goes as planned |

Assuming you have 79RDs in PCT you need Avenir, 2 C2 Days, 27 C1 and 50HC. Or some combination with wildcards I guess?
EDIT 40 HC days, my brain derped out

It's a nice looking team, and being unsure what Fothen and Ratiy scored I can't say whether or not your Abal thesis are correct. I would be surprised if he would do better than Fothen though - Fothen might have had a shit season though.
Tsatavich is a really nice allround rider like you say, he will do well for you. I think your strength is pretty similar to last season, the question is if the competition has gotten better or worse. My guess is it has become slightly worse, meaning that you should survive

And 37 C1 days in that case I think (you mis-placed 10RD's I reckon)!
