tried to create a profile but when i pressed next it came up with the message steamauthfailled anyone else have this as it wont let me play the game |

I did that and it worked. I filled the info, pressed enter, during the loading process pressed the backspace. It said that the account already existed. I exited the game and got back in. When I was refilling the info it just presented me the profile that I was trying to create. Thanks |

I have the same problem, and when i press "backspace" it comes up and says "Account already exists" but when i then push the "okay" button, which is the only option. it just jumps back to the creating menu again, and i still can't get through??? anyone who can help? |

Just spent 45 minues, three different aliases and several different e-mail addresses with no luck, even the backspace trick didn't work.
In the faded bsckground under Multiplayer it says Connection Problems, I'm guessing the two may be linked, but pressing shift+tab brings up the appropriate screen so that confused the Steam connection issue.
Still no further forward or backwards in this case
Hoping it sorts itself soon with the consolation of playing PCM15. |

Same problem mate. I buy the game on gameplanet. Big disappointment for me. I have all game series from 2006 even 2015...But I think this is my last year. Cyanide is a group of ignorants and they did a patch after week. Typical french policy. It spoils my day. Hope that it will finally works, but I buy this game for a last time

Check if the game appears in your steam profile.
It could be a problem with steam:
For people who get the SteamAuth Failed, I've checked your profiles and I don't see the game in your list. There is probably an issue on the Steam side and we'll contact them to investigate the issue.
We've reproduced the issue here but it looks random. We don't know yet why it happens.
We believe it's a connectivity issue with the server but for a temporary solution, you may need to re-launch the game several times in order to manage to play the game.
