It would affect things though, wouldn't it? Because 3 points will almost certainly get you through as 3rd.
Potentially yeah but if teams are tied for that best 3rd place spots it could come down to goal difference but I guess with an automatic 3-0 win if Russia do get disqualified then it would see all three teams through I should think.

Honestly, austrian media and especially public television is so awkwardly, obnoxiously hyping, even showing a trainings and all, I wouldn't be even mad if they got 3 crushing defeats.. All that talk about golden generations, pfft. I believe that a golden generation is only here when they actually win stuff.

Don't want to sound like Russian defender, but that has to be the dumbest decision ever. Why team has to suffer because of some idiots who I even wouldn't dare to call "fans". So what, Russian football federation is gonna tell them to behave better? It's not that those idiots care for team and listen. Plus, you do understand that English fans (who are not that much better) will try to provoke Russians.
Much better decison would have been not letting anyone with Russian passport inside stadium. What happens outside of it is police job. |

As far as I know the Russian football federation is responsible to whom they sell the tickets.
But it's not like you can check or know intention of everyone buying tickets. Plus someone with clean record can basically buy tickets for those "ultras".
Hey, I'm all against this bullshit that has no direct impact on football, but I just feel that it is more of a police job rather than federation's or team's. |
