Armstrong DID win the TdF 7 times. He is not the WINNER of these races but still he did WIN all of them.
If you think this sounds stupid, then blame UCI because they supported doping until they could not hide it any longer. |

Watched the Contador attacks finally on last stage and loved this scene where Contador attacked and the SKY doms were following him like a little Froomes on a school trip

Nothing wrong with having the conversation, the reason it keeps coming up (outside of any troll activity ) is that riders and teams keep doping. Once they stop I'll stop

Christophe Bassons competed against Armstrong and he was clean, he stood up and said NO and did it publicly. So if everyone was cheating and Armstrong was the best of them then where does Bassons fit into your calculations?
Christophe who? He should have used drugs then maybe I would have heard of him
He was nowhere in my calculations. Just like he was in every single race he ever rode in according to his palmares

I especially liked it when Contador blew up again and lost another handful of seconds to Froome.
He attacked several times and never got more then 10 bike lengths in front. If that's the best a dope free Contador can do then I don't think Froome Dog has got anything to worry about at the Tour.

What are you talking about? Because it surely isn't stage 7, what I'm referring to. He has looked very good that stage.

We'll see about that. At least riders such as Bardet respect the effort that Contador puts in to try to win, saying that Contador inspires him (a quote worthy of my signature).

Yes, he attacks which is good and should be respected for trying.
But does a proven doper who attacks and looses deserve to be respected more then someone who has a clean record and wins the races Contador attacks in.
It seems like backwards logic to me. |

The everyone doped, level playing field fallacy seems to have come up again. I'll turn to someone far more eloquent then I to point out the many flaws in this argument:
https://inrng.com/...ping-myth/
The most pertinent extract for me being (but there are more if you read the full piece):
"Next there is an asymmetric response. Having said there’s no single dosage, there’s certainly no single outcome. Our bodies are different in so many ways this is what makes sport, someone with big lungs gets an advantage in aerobic sports like cycling. But the diversity extends to our response to pharmaceuticals. It’s documented in medical journals and clinical trials but read cycling biographies too. Some riders find some banned substances work for them and yet others don’t. For example Tyler Hamilton says he never used much growth hormone but other riders have consumed extensive amounts of this, something testified by their oversized jawbones and jumbo forehead ridges. You see this well beyond rugby, see baseball or rugby. Similarly cyclists with a naturally high haematocrit count of red blood cells can’t consume much EPO before their blood data rings alarm bells whilst those with lower levels can take more."
Also Dauphine, great race! |

Are you so sure about that or all the thoughts that help to convince himself in the desirable result are good? |
