Thought I would try and see how many people take not in the Super League.
My hometown are currently back in Super League, Widnes Vikings and have just picked up their first win 37-36 over Wigan Warriors in what was a thrilling game.
With the obvious favourites for the Super League crown this year being, St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors, there seems to be a battle starting for the wooden spoon between Widnes Vikings and the London Broncos.
Should be an interesting season of Super League action, one I hope doesn't end in Widnes finishing bottom

Wigan fan due to my Dad, although I have to say I follow it less avidly than I used to. Have to say I prefer it to union but I'd rather not to start that worst of debates.
Wigan fielded a weak side and payed for it today - you get what you deserve. I reckon Widnes might just get above the Broncos but it's way too early to say.

I have never really followed it myself but it's hard not to in someway when the stadium is down the road from my house lol, I went to a few friendly games a few years ago but ticket prices are expensive now.
yeh it is well too early to say, Widnes are improving, I think Leeds may win it again this season, they have started well, well better than Saints.

Couldn't be much harder to follow it where I am and still be in England - the south coast is not favourable to league or the north in general.

My brother is a Wigan Warriors fan and he said to me today that he was absolutely dreading this match because Widnes were so up for it |

Well Widnes returned to losing ways again after getting a thumping up at Hull, business as usual for the bottom club!

Bit overrated in my view but hopefully it'll open up a bit.

As with a fair bit of Origin, intense without actually being a good game.
Re: Leeds, the rumour is that the team were basically led and coached by Sinfield and Peacock and that McDermott didn't have a whole lot to do with their success. With the loss of those key players, amongst other things, it could explain it. I guess it's also the opposite of getting a roll on for them. The Middle 8s will be intriguing this year.

Pretty much. Just an 80 minute grind. Sets up game two to be incredible though.

Yeah, if NSW are willing to play it a bit riskier then it could be excellent.

Tight game one, Maroons will be happy. Entertaining stuff, and interesting chat around the window possibility and such. Shame Warriors suck, Wigan Warriors doing OK though

If they drop Woods, get rid of Walker (should never have been selected) and bring in the likes of Graham and Frizell they'll play much better next game.
Also, how's Chris Sandow doing in the SL?

Sandow's doing well now, been out for a while with injury so a little slower on return but started the season in excellent form. Came over at the end of last year and looked like a bit of a flop but has settled in now.
The Wigan players are John Bateman and Lee Mossop supposedly but hard to pin down exactly what happened given they're just rumours. They've both been named in the 19 for tonight so it could be an interesting one.

I saw footage from the first game he played, he was basically booed off the field. It's good to hear he's doing well now, he can be a bit temperamental though. He can't be doing any worse than his former team are doing now.

State of Origin game 2 (of 3) is about to start. It's Australia's greatest sporting rivalry, NSW v QLD. QLD won the first game, so NSW must win this game to keep the series alive. It's going to be brutal. You're missing out if you don't see this.
You can find a stream at live stream.com, I can't even access it because it's not available on Australia.
